It's very rare to run out of credits, though if you're using an account which has been created more than 3 months ago your credits will be expired and you receive an error. For example, If you create a Custom GPT application, does OpenAI (Store?) allow you to host it for others to try? Can you host it somewhere else if they reject it? With your cost being that anyone using it will go towards your 40 messages/3hour limit? Or do custom GPTs use API pricing? So that the more popular it gets, the more it costs you? And how would the pricing be different between an application that requires a yes/no API call.. versus a prompt requiring ChatGPT4-Vision to analyze an image? My goal is to drag a pdf of a handwritten scan to a web-app that call Chat-GPT4 Vision.. do an OCR and extract data from a table, then perform some calculations on it, and finally print the results to a pdf (or append a new page to the original pdf). BTW, any thoughts on Perplexity Pro (Also $20/mo)?
Hi, it depends on how much text OpenAI processes and some other factors. I would recommend to start with the free balance and just see how fast it shrinks..
If you're worried about your data, I recommend trying Microsoft Azure's OpenAI service: azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/cognitive-services/openai-service/
I wouldn’t share your key (publicly) as this will allow others to use your credit. Only share your key within your organization or with people you trust.
