You have the best tennis videos on youtube! So much thought goes into your game, your ability to articulate it is outstanding, proof there is SO MUCH MORE than just mechanics.

Great video. I agree, the drop shot is great for big hitters. When you see your opponent drop back, always hit the dropper. I like faking the dropper and hitting the slice. Fed does that so well. Thanks.

I was told by taylor dent that drop shot should bounce 5 times before it gets to service line for it to be effective

So you’re changing your grip to continental? Just wanting to check?

Great video Kevin, I miss you being with Ian and team et. Have you heard of a tennis RUclipsr named Mark Sansait? If you have, I would love to see you play a match on his or your channel. I think you could beat him no problem. Please reply to this comment when you see it. God bless you sir

Sorry if I write in this post. I wanted to ask you what you think of the head Boom mp .... I see you use it in the video 🙏

I guess the drop shot is similar to hitting behind the player - it's reliant on "surprise" - hitting where the opponent doesn't expect

Does Alcaraz use his forehand grip for drop shot?

    • @toonsoffun5733

Does not seem like a continental grip when I watch it. Maybe an eastern? Most likely just a regular semi western grip.

Don't know which grip Alcatraz uses but Eastern fh grip is definitely an option for drop shot. Most players use Continental. Don't know of any players that drop using SW.

Νο. He changes the grip with his left. Another perk of holding the racket with the other hand until the last moment.

Coach Kevin delete my doubts about my drop shot

Those drop shots would get run down by my grandma. A true drop shot should have as much under/side spin as possible and a low arc.

Not his problem you can't spare a couple extra minutes out of your life. Why don't you just watch tennis videos in your native language? Maybe all of this English is making you feel mentally tired? Watch some TikTok videos since you are having a hard time being able to stay focused on this content? :/
