Wanted to clear up the confusion at the start (because im pretty sure 20 people are going to mention it anyways). The units that enter the portal during the start ONLY increase the unit's exp. When you reach certain exp thresholds your units get upgraded for the next fight. The rate that your units get sent into the battle depends on production. Your factory is still running in the background during a fight, and every time a unit goes into the portal it spawns in to the fight. THAT BEING SAID given the same factory set up, if 100 units enter the portal, and in a different round 500 units enter the portal, the only difference between these two scenarios is that in the first scenario the unit has 100 exp, while the second scenario the unit has 500 exp. since they are the same factory, thus having the same output of units, the rate at which they come out will stay the same.
That was the case during the demo. Now, the units that enter the portal actually do increase the spawn rate of units in battle. You can see this in the timer under the unit exp bar increasing as units enter the portal. So, the more units you produce during the building phase, the more units you have in battle. You can exploit this by having a production line of high tier units (heroes, gunners, etc) with a long converyor belt accumulate around the map, but not enter the portal for 1 round. Then, next round you can unleash production worth 2 rounds of units (previous round build-up, and current round).
Also I don't see anybody mentioning this in the comments Sifd. I'm not 100% sure about this, but it seems the hero production was getting stuck was because of the output flow being clogged due to you having "fast" input belts, but "slow"/"normal" output belts. Basically the turnover rate got stuck because it could not "pull" the heroes out of the station even when it had the "14" production speed, so the problem was more the output belts. Hope this made sense. edit: Nevermind you figured it out.
I just wanted to preface this comment by saying I _really_ enjoy when you play this game Sifd, it's one of my favorites from the games you've played in the art couple years! 1:31:50 _FINALLY_ Sifd realizes he has an open triangle supply, while his existing triangle motif makers have been being split in half 🤦♂️ 1:35:30 The champion thing isn't the bottleneck, the joiner you have immediately _after_ the champion canvas *is* the problem however. 1:41:00 _Please Sifd!_ I'm begging you! 🙏 Look at the champion canvas and look at what is red _after_ it. The reason things are getting backed up is because it has to spit out the regular hero, and it can't if the output path us full and backed up! 1:42:50 *_GOD IS REAL, MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED! ALL HAIL THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER!!!_* 🙏 🙇 🥹🫠
Okay now I watched till the end😅😆 regarding the circles at 2:00:00 what you should have done was just just send one of the circle streams (not combine both of them) and one of the triangle streams into an inverser (the small version), then you have the streams cross and can easily provide with the shapes. What you could have done at 1:57:50 is just make a U turn for the circles (before it goes into the underground conveyor belt) and swap with the triangels, problem solved.
It's one of the rare times I already played a game you show here. That made me realize, that you didn't even play on the most recent build (at time of the release) because crytal gains increase by a flat amount when leveling up and you can choose to get a fixed amount as a bonus instead instead of rate increase.
At the end when you are trying to manage the throughput of the undergrounds (bridges) being 4/s you can split the blues so it uses 2 undergrounds then recombine before you input, thus doubling the throughput. It loses some space efficiency, but you had enough to do it.
A 2-hour video, on shape hair factory; Sweet. But at 2:28 I paused the video to give him a thumbs up because he selected the layout blueprint. I know Sifd, and my heart was going to be broken if he selected minion over layout. Disclaimer I don't actually know sifd
I was screaming for 5 minutes that you make Champion production stuck because output line is so slow and used another 10 minutes to find a way to remote your computer and fix it.😊
I'd watch more of this. Do you talk to the devs? It needs a feature where you can just click on a treadmill to upgrade it instead of redrawing the whole thing.

Edit 1:37:05 This is painful… my dude, please upgrade the belt coming out of the hero canvas!!!! It’s literally flashing an icon at you on screen!! …… now you just fixed it on the other side, stated what the issue is, and just completely ignored the other side… what even!?!! 1:43:05 oh thank god….

Actually splitting a lane into two at places like the hero sword can unclog the whole thing and improve the gain of chosen ones, I think.
