The amount of sand and grit this little player was holding on to, despite being in reasonably good shape overall, suggests frequent use on the beach or some other such environment. If this little Toshiba could speak, I imagine it could recount numerous fun vacations and other good times with family and friends. Job well done indeed, and good on you for restoring it!
I remember how these 70's and 80's japanese radio-cassettes were too complicated and hard to disassemble systems, but you did a magnificant work and finished up with a priceless beautiful jewel ! So cute and very nostalgic ! P.S.: Toshiba would have missed a talented guy like you :)

I got an idea! Let spray a working cheap radio with some mud and water to make it look real bad and then clean it up and dismantle it to make it look like I fixed it.
You lubricated everything but the potentiometers... The capstan shaft should have been cleaned with alcohol after installing it... Overall an excellent restoration and paintwork... WELL DONE!!! 10/10

если нет регулятора оборотов двигателя, значит, у двигателя внутри центробежный регулятор. Питать двигатель от стабилизатора напряжения нельзя, скорость будет плавать. Нужен так называемый "стабилизатор напряжения с отрицательным внутренним сопротивлением", который будет поддерживать стабильные обороты при разной нагрузке по валу. Тут, проще было заменить мотор на более современный со встроенным стабилизатором оборотов
Меня одну смущает то что во всех видео техника которую якобы реставрируют усрато как то однотипно, одной и той же грязью (как будто там по КД все усирают в одной луже) и у всех вид один и тот же. И находит он все свои жертвы для восстановления в таких местах что просто атас. Разве не понятно что это постановочное видео и не имеет ни чего к реально происходящему. Тупо обман людей и сбор просмотров и прочее.

W/ TOSHIBA (who, I might point out, has been in business since 1875...not 1975 but 1875!!), you may pay more but you get Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y! А между тем выпускало это воен.завод в Ленинграде..Только в эпоху Горбачёва импортн.техника стала доступнее : получал от коллег по переписке с Запада (коллекционеры) компакт-кассеты,часы,джинсы,кроссовки и многое др.,а в нищие 90-ые ---дефиц-й тогда кофе,табак и др.Купленный в 1987г с рук за 700 руб магн-н Сони проработал 20 лет и сохранился...Но... некоторые партии топоров в совке делали хорошего качества(до 70-х гг...)..
