Haven’t watched the video yet, but if this is true, then Lego has a serious distribution issue. First the 501st battle pack, then the 15 dollar minifigs pack. They need to get their act together
Damn, I was really looking forward to this set. I'm not a diehard clone trooper lego fan but this set looked really cool and now it being delayed, and probably selling out the minute it releases is upsetting. Lego needs to produce more than what they think might be enough.
I like how when I don't have enough money to buy a big set, the set is not selling like hot cakes, but when I try to get the big set that I have the money for, IT STAYS SOLD OUT FOR LIKE 1 YEAR!
With 501st battlepacks being literally impossible to get in Australia for less than twice retail price, the fact that I’ve never seen a republic fighter tank in a store, and same with a clone minifig pack, I wouldn’t say this is gonna be an American exclusive issue. The issue in Australia just hasn’t gone public yet.
They may be trying to supply to all the other countries before the US because it will be more widely available in the US in the long run. In Australia 501st Battle packs have not been available widely since August 2020. Hearing that sets like these are available in the US right now makes me think that with the AT-TE they will do August 1st drops internationally, and then following that 80% of AT-TEs made will just go to the US, leaving Australia etc with only one opportunity to buy it (August 1st) and it will likely not be available again
@@MandRproductions I mean we can hope the reason for the delay is that they really want to over-produce and overstock this item. I mean a theme of Star Wars is hope.
The thing about star wars sets is that the appeal of army building leads to people buying way more than they would have with any other theme. No other theme has a focus around massive wars and battles, so no other theme has this kind of issue. That's the reason why star wars seems to have a much bigger issue with stock than with other themes.
I think it’s probably because there is so many people that are gonna buy duplicates. Adding the other sets customers it would mean that Lego Stores would be very busy so I think they are gonna sell it alone in a later day
Personally I think there should be a 1 per customer rule for new sets atleast for the first wave of release. Too many people buying multiples of these sets leading to those who only want 1 not getting to buy it.

It’ll be years before that actually solves the problem, which I guess can’t really be helped, but at least they seem to kinda be solving it? Even if that won’t do much right away.
Given it is seemingly a US specific issue, I think it might be down to one of two things.
