I used mine to grate russet potatoes for homemade hash browns. I had a light bulb turn on in my brain couple yrs ago of other uses for cheese graters besides cheese. thx for other tips I hadn't thought about 😉

I find it easier to clean a garlic press rather than cutting up my hand trying to clean a grater.

Hello! The smallest holes are for grating hard cheeses like parmesan. You can also use it to zest citrus like lemons, limes, and oranges.

Susan, can you tell me how to use a grater to avoid shaving my fingers/ knuckles?

You can grate courgettes (zuchinni) into a microwave dish and cook on high till the juices run. Drain off the juice and use as a vegetable substitute for rice or pasta. Yummy with curry!

Isn't it funny with all the gadgets today, food processors, plastic things, I always seem to go back to my old fashioned metal grater, lasts a lifetime

Well I guess we still haven't looked at all "4" sides. Want to edit, and add the 4th side, since you mention 4 sides, but only reviewed 3 of them?
