I really started clapping when Dodds called Olivia 'Captain' it's rightfully deserved! I'm also excited to see Carisi tear up the court room, that leaves 2 detectives?? But this season is gonna be epic.
A PODCAST ABOUT ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SHOWS? HELLO???? I’m just so excited to check this out as soon as I watch the new episode ;__; Mariska’s always been a HUGE inspiration of mine, I love her to pieces!!! and the show’s been important to me since I was young, I’d love to hear more about how the staff makes it! actors, writers, editors, everybody 👀👌 thank you so much to whoever pitched the idea for a podcast!!!!! lmao
My love for this show has grown from year 1. It became my favorite show ever when Olivia became SVU's central character. Perfect attention is given to every detail, including cast and content. I watch the seasons over and over.
Captain Olivia Benson has a nice ring to it. I bet Cragen would be proud knowing Liv took the reigns of the precinct. So season 40 Liv becomes Police Commissioner?
@@queenheart6167 yep, i have more 'evidence' lol. Look at this interview with Mariska in 2018 www.tvinsider.com/694302/law-order-svu-season-20-stabler-barba-return/ When she is asked: " Will Raúl Esparza (Assistant D.A. Rafael Barba), who exited last season, be back? " To which she replied: " Yes. I can promise you that. " Also Esparza said in an interview he would love to comeback and that he was glad his character exited in a way that he can come back (he meant that its not as his character was killed or anything so the door is still open) So yep, our sassy Cuban boy will be back eventually ;)
Hearing Peter speak without doing the accent he does for Carisi is so weird, he sounds like a whole different person! I'm excited for more episodes of the podcast!!
Carisi the new ADA? I really, really enjoyed it, but I would love it even more if there was a transition from Barba to Carisi. You know, as if Barba prepared Carisi to be the ADA, and then Barba would be a judge, as his "Abuelite" always wanted. But I'm happy because Barba was, in a way, Carisi's mentor and now he has succeeded. I hope that in some episode they can meet. I will watch the show just because of it !! Warren Laight is back there and was responsible for bringing Raul to SVU, so the chances of this meeting happening are real, aren't they ??? Please, someone feed my illusion!
Yow show more of olivia and Amanda's friendship oh my god like plz i like how they went from not trusting each other (mostly olivia ofc) to point they be friends come on i see alot of these deleted scenes and im like wow how the hell this didnt make it
Firstly, Captain Olivia Benson is cool. Second, I love how Peter points (subtly-ish) out the absolute shitshow that was the final ep of Season 20. Nobody acted like they usually do and it set up Stone’s exit (badly) And third, yes he is so right that Rollins and his relationship is so much better gray. It would be good for her to date out of work and him to find someone who would just challenge him.
They said Carisi was making the move because he'd stagnated professionally and personally, and I hope by that they meant his hang up with Rollins was holding him back from moving on and being happy, and he's making a break with it. They both deserve to be happy, but they're not right for each other. Better off as friends. And they were becoming a bit of an Olivia/Stabler clone that felt stale.
Jessica None oh I agree, that too. It’s one of those things where it got to the point it needed to happen or it wouldn’t happen at all. Saying that, part of me is wondering how I would feel if at the end it became a Doug Ross/Carol Hathaway kinda thing (Olivia and Elliot, not Carisi and Rollins)
Barba should make a return to the show to see what he’s up to. Stone’s son the handsome baseball guy didn’t really make the replacement emotionally as powerful as Barba. Shouldn’t Barba come back and see Careesi as ADA? Also, Christopher Meloni would be nice to see back, he got written out hastily.
Barba (the character)has been ruined by the writers, IMO. He had to go alone. Then kept in touch with Olivia,,,,so as I am naive I was thinking that he would come back, working on a case with Benson side by side. Writers killed his character without killing him. Cause it will take time to forgive that he was the DA to Wheatley. And we know that Olivia is always on Elliot's side. As blindsided as the victims she has to investigate why they were brutally murdered. Barba opened her mind and was here for her. While Stabler is self concerned, being sure that she always be there for him -and he is right. She was a strong woman when she was on her own, then with new partners who did know nothing about Stabler. Dealing with other people helped her to make her vision of the world wider. That's a good development for her character.

people constantly say oh I wish so and so was still on the show ,well people get taken off for a reason. people's contract expired or they got a better job offer on another TV show and also even due to personal reasons
@Uncle Rafa really? Is Carisi the new ADA? I like him, but does that mean that the program's resolute production can save on hiring new actors or will they put another cop in carisi's shoes? Either way, I'm not watching the show.
@Uncle Rafa ha, but ... is it? I mean, over all these twenty years, there have always been character replacements and such, especially the ADAs (though at heart I never wanted to see Barba leave). So why would Phillip Winchester bother with hostilities? Yes, I hated him, I won't deny it, but then the actor is bothered by, and leave in show, it is another matter.
dama de copas if you read Winchester’s interview there is definitely some element of him being sore about it, his exit was friendly-ish but I also have a feeling he wasn’t asked back. I think his short run proves that.
@@nadiahassan5307 I read that he had a show called Chicago Justice, where he was the ADA, but it didn't go forward. Now again has he been asked to leave? They shouldn't have done that to him, brought him back like that, especially the way he was introduced, suing Barba, and worse, replacing him. It was a suicide for your character. I don't know if Stone was popular or not for the public, but I hated him. But I have nothing against Winchester.
First of all to say that how these fictional detectives handle cases is how they should really be handled is absurd. Also the job of detectives is to investigate not be advocates for victims even in sexual assault cases. They aren’t rape crisis counselors. Clearly Mariska doesn’t understand that or that victims make things up.
@@bsteven885 I'm sorry, but I personally don't like Cabot. Of the female ADAs only Novak was ok for me. I dream of the moment when Barba steps back into SVU.
This will forever be my favorite show ever. She’s a legend man. 20 years and is on season 21 ? Sheesh man. Talk about longevity. Legend 📺🐐
