Small addition: from messing around with the spreadsheet, for a horde hunter with full t2, accuria, and don julio's, it will be slightly higher dps (around +1 to +2 dps) to use rune of the guard captain instead of royal seal and put +7 damage on the crossbow. Check for yourself though in case I missed something.
You're totally on point here. I play Ally, so I never looked to see the difference in the Horde Specific Trinkets. Bravo mate!

First of all, love your videos man! Keep up the good work! Just wanted to add a comment tho: for the filthy casuals out there, like myself, who often runs ZG (or even MC and BWL) with pugs rather than the our guilds, the "this is hunter BiS" mantra used on e.g. the 1h weapons no longer applies. I'm having a real hard time getting my hands on Hakkari MH + Fang of Noface. Since these keep getting ressed by warriors and rogues, respectively. Not to mention that the Fang's droprate in my experience seems damn low! (PS: my # of runs is not statistically significant yet :P) Finally got both Jin-rings, however, so I'm happy as a peach! :D

the blue variant of the pvp gloves has the 4% multishot dmg also, and its probably second bis setup

i dont understand how Don julio > Quick strike ring on your bis list when i see you have 11% hit , QSR has more AP and same amount of crit and you dont need the hit from don julio.

The quiver haste increase doesn't happen if you're using the zanza swiftness potion. Its still weird but w/e. But yeah the rank 12 gloves are only a 3-5 dps increase in phase 6. I'm starting to think I may just stop at rank 11. Funny thing is, if you go for only 5 piece t2, the MC wrist are better then the gloves and you can use the Jin ring set
nick peter yea I’ve been playing with the numbers. They certainly show that a 5/8 T2 and 3/8 T1 is actually just as good as either 8/8 set. So you can definitely manipulate the hit to your advantage.

Goatt aye. I mean. DFB is a nice option for rogues if they don’t have CHT, Perds or other options available to them. Especially now that ZG is out. Hunters have two great options available. IMO. I’d say it’s high roll wins. Tbh. Cause in both cases of a Hunter or Rogue. DFB isn’t the best option either way. Lol
Funny thing is it was a guild run ZG and I'm not allowed to to roll on CHT in MC. Doesn't matter though, I won the roll.
Did they fix DM buffs, i notice (not sure if its a bug that blizz is not intending to fix) that when you get Fengus's Ferocity its only to Melee AP. Hunters get fucked again and we do not benefit from the 200AP to range.

sadly it's not a bug. It never affected our ranged damage. and I know it sucks, but other things in the game are similiar, i.e. Juju's Power and other things don't increase our ranged damage either. truly sad.
I realize I'm late to the party, but with tier 3 true BiS how about using giantstalker's gloves to then allow hunters to use the +7 dmg scope? That's if us hunters ever actually get the kingsfall* melee weapon before TBC classic is released. Great video btw subscribed and I can't wait for more!
William Keith thanks mate. I’m sure giant stalker isn’t necessary. Most likely were gonna be rocking 0/21/30 at that point anyway. So surefooted will make it unnecessary for us to have the 3% scope.

Did you forget about Zulian Tigerhide Cloak? Worth mentioning with +13 agi, 1% hit
not really, Cloak of Shrouded Mists is better for us. Zulian Tigerhide Cloak isn't worth it for us. Baron or Shrouded Mists either one would be better for us. Hit is kind of wasted with us having access to so much hit from gear / enchants.
@@SaltyZera It's actually the bis cloak (other than puissant) if you're full t1 and aren't lucky enough to have boa or dft (most guilds prioritise these to melee) since it means you can keep the 7 scope and still be hit capped.
@@markdakers3148 this isn't true at all. B/c even if you didn't have BoA or MDR (which is BiS for T1 with rocking +7 Scope), you'd only other be rocking the Jin rings, which is going to require you to use the Hit scope. you lose out on nearly 5 DPS if you did what you're recommending. Also, Cape of Black Baron is still better than the Zulian Tiger Cloak in all circumstances.
Ah yes thats my bad on that, I forgot to include the set bonus for band/seal of jin in calculations so had don julio's / master dragonslayer as the best ring combo which only needed +1 more hit from cloak for hit cap. You're right!

I liked this video a lot but wanted to mention that I think rogues and warrior are more interested in Fang of the Faceless than you give them credit for. Def hoping to get on my hunter nonetheless.
Ryan Becker they really shouldn’t be. They’re far more interested in off hands like CHT or Brutality Blade.

So I had a couple of questions for you. Firstly, I finally got my Ashjrethul! My goodness I waited for like 3 or 4 months before my guild saw the first one drop. Its been a rollercoaster xD. What I want to ask is would it be worth wearing the Quickdraw Quiver if you dont have Ashkandi? Or is Quickdraw Quiver really only a viable option if you have both the xbow and the 2H sword? Also, is it worth respeccing into survival to put points into Surefooted so that you can get the +7 dmg scope onto the xbow? Or is the 3% hit scope just overall better because then you could put points into say your pet doing extra dmg? At the current moment my setup is basically FullT1 with the enchants, Warblade + Fang with +15 agility the xbow with +7 dmg scope and double jin rings. Just wanted to know your thoughts. Anyways, cheers man! Keep up the great work
are r13 pieces not bis over the r10 set?
Individually, sure; however, you don't want to wear full R13, you want to do a combination of R10 with R12 gear while filling in the gaps with T2, since you get more Agility from the 2-piece set bonus of R10.
Your 04 ZG T2 "True" BiS list should swap out Band of Accuria for Master Dragonslayer or Quick Strike Ring because there is 2% hit not needed, the best one of them is Quick Strike Ring in that case. :)
Victor Davidsson I looked at QSR and there’s damage loss on the calculator. Otherwise I would have mentioned it. The fact is Don Julios + Accuria is best for T1 thanks to having the Damage scope on Ashjre’thul instead. Which offers peak damage. But with T2 your beat options will be the ZG rings. Hands down. Sadly. QSR is a dps loss in every scenario I tried.
@@SaltyZera Yea your right, tho in your sixtyupgrades list it's BoA and Don Julio's for the T2 True BiS but it's probably just a minor mistake. All good :)

What about the ZG blue ring set? I've heard from several sources they are bis in this patch...
is one agi on bracers really better than the mp5 enchant? perhaps not now, but soon when mana is an issue again?
Your p4 bis list w/o pvp gear is wrong. You get more dps single target by equipping 7 piece of T2, everything besides shoulders, because t1 shoulders are actually better, plus you dont trigger the 8 set proc which is not allowed in most serious guilds due to debuff cap. Its about 5 dps increase, you can check it yourself in the spreadsheet.
There's always going to be little nuances like that. A lot of raids don't mind having a Hunter with 8/8 T2. But, just to test your theory, I plugged in exactly what you said and 8/8 T2 still wins out in single target DPS, but if you're goal is to avoid the debuff from proccing, that's easily doable in a variety of ways. Our 8/8 Hunter is currently doing it by simply wearing Wristguards of Trueflight. It's not too far off what your suggesting.
@@SaltyZera You get overhit if you use trueflight, you get exactly 9 hit with the combination i was talking about. And ye, my goal was to avoid 8/8 set, because you can't wear that in a serious guild.
dps cap ultimately comes up to luck dealing crits, seen 99 parses with low gear, anything above 40 45% crit on a boss, either multis or aimshots, would grant top dps, no matter what gear u wear, assuming you have at least t1 and 9% hit, so good luck bro!
this is a somewhat true factor. My parses fluctuate from 95-99% more often than not, except now when I'm experimenting with weaving. So you're absolutely not wrong lol
+7 scope becomes less and less effective with a slower weapon. Our crossbow is the slowest ranged weapon in the game. The Jin set gives 78 ap, 1 crit, 1 hit (not calculating crit and other stats from agility). Boa and don julio’s gives 52 ap, 1 crit, 2 hit. You can disregard the extra hit due to ZG enchants. Sorry Zera don’t agree with you here. Jin set is Bis
Yo dude, awasome vid as usual! Got a question, when should I go for AP instead of crit? How much AP is worth 1 crit is my question. I'm rocking two assassination blades enchanted, but am thinking of swapping them out. Not really sure for what. Dal rends give 50ap more and lose one crit. Can't really figure it out. Bone Slicing Hatchet x2 > Rend set. 1st of all the grind is almost guaranteed to be 100 times easier/faster. 2nd of all unless you're the ONLY person in an ubrs group who needs the swords when one drops it is SOOO incredibly toxic as a hunter to need roll on them against a warrior/rogue for stat sticks. These youtubers and guides that people put out claiming rend's as our prebis are exactly why us hunters get such a bad rep. Also the difference between Rend's/BSH is so tiny it's hardly worth mentioning
I mean. I personally would never go for Rend set. It’s pretty minimal in comparison to dual BSH. Plus it can be perceived as hella toxic. Best to just take the the easier of the two grinds. Lol.

QSR isn't worth it imo. But I mainly say that b/c Hunters in my guild never got lucky enough to get one LOL
@@SaltyZera i got QSR its amazingly strong. I'm raiding as survival lightning reflexes spec and i still use it with the 22agi bwl ring
got dooms edge and core hound tooth for weapons. Just got broken tooth as well. Looking to make the talent switch into beast mastery and use my 3% scope but I'm sort've on the edge whether the 3% damage from the survival talent is worth losing.
I mean, as far as my opinion goes, do what makes sense to you mate. There's no right or wrong answer here. If you wanna hold off until ZG next week, just sit back and wait. When ZG comes out you can go Humanoid and Dragon Slaying, get yourself best of both worlds!

There is no soft crit cap, that is a myth that has long been debunked. Just chase after your Tier Sets and utilize your best options until then. Otherwise, don't stress about your crit vs AP.

Im rocking don julios and the one form head of nef i also use 7+ scope on BWL CB and i have 8% hit in total i use the ST tirinket to make sure my tranqs hit everytime, but i have never missed with8% idk why. I feel like my DPS is solid i dont know the exact numbers ofc but i have done 800 dps alot with world buffs etc also note i have plus 100health on chest, head, legs for pvp mostly
Jones Herbs bro that sounds hella lucky to me man. I’ve never heard of someone never missing with less than 9% hit. That’s crazy.
What about the ZG fist-weapons and the 300AP buff?
Much like Expose Weakness debuff from T2, it's nice, but not worth wearing if that's all you're going after. You gain so much more damage from simply wearing the Hakkari MH + Fang. It's about consistent damage over time vs tiny burst windows.
The seal+band of jin give 30 ap bonus. Where in the spreadsheet does that come in? It only shows +20 Ap on the viewable sheet.
why would you use the 13 agi 1h axe? gives you 26 ap... and you are way under the soft crit cap. Pre Raid Bis probably would be the Rend weapon set with 1% crit and 50 ap but other then that just go with two 1% crit weapons.
lasse reden Rends are pre raid BiS for sure. But I could never get them to drop. However. They aren’t *that* much better if you actually look at it in the calculator. It’s not worth the grind to get them after I already have dual BSH. Especially with ZG out next week. Happy hunting mate.
Zera what ring combination would you recommend for a hunter that got his hands on DFT?
Hey. I seem to have a lot of contest in my guild regarding Warblade of the Hakkari, by rogues and warriors. They dont see it as hunter prio. Is this right? I am alliance btw
Fury Warriors desire it b/c the Hakkari Sword set is actually the 2nd best weapon combination they can have besides CTS + Mala. Rogues desiring it kinda stumps me. They should be pursuing Perds + CHT. My best advice is to perform your own research on the topic for Rogues and see if you can convince them otherwise. Not much else you can do mate. Good luck though and keep on Hunting with pride!
how isn't QSR better than accuria in the T2 bis since you have to use the 3% scope anyway? i feel like 30ap, 1 crit is better than 16 agi. since the one you're showing has 11% total hit
i think even painweaver or the zg ring with 1 crit, 20 ap is better than accuria in that setup @zera
eknapp70 the ZG rings are actually BiS for T2. BT far and away. Accuria + MDR/DJB are only BiS for T1. This has been adjusted for a while now in the discord. Feel free to join and check out the updated lists for yourself mate. Nice eye for sure! Happy hunting!!

also, idk what numbers you're getting but i'm averaging about 10% uptime on my t2 8 piece debuff. the problem is that it gets knocked off easily
Question. What is now the T2 set proc chance in classic? I got the full T2 yesterday, but my guild has problems with the debuff limit. We has 3 hunters per raid (sometimes 4) and want re-calc that T2 debuff worth it, or not.
the proc rate is actually abysmal. We've run the numbers and the proc chance is like 0.45%. So we're kinda screwed honestly. That almost makes it impossible to utilize. My guild has already written it off. There's zero point to reserve a debuff slot for it b/c it's proc rate is gawd awful. I know hunters who have had it since week one of P3 and it's never procced for them yet.
I’ve actually had it proc quite a bit since I completed the set a few weeks ago. Compared to 8/8 Giantstalker that I had before, I like Dragonstalker much more. Not only does it look 5x cooler. I would like to believe that the extra crit and around 60 ranged AP end up beating giantstalkers 8/8 bonus. At least on single target fights.
Im surprised ppl think of T2 procc being so rare its not worth going for. We use 3 hunters with full T2 and it procc alot more than ppl thougt it would. Sometimes its just stupid how often it procc (tracking the debuff with an weakaura) and 450 extra AP on top of an Aimed crit + devil eye, its just insane. Some boss fights we had close to 80% uptime
What talent setup are you using for this?
for me, I am running 17/31/3 currently, but with ZG I will soon be running 12/31/8 for melee weaving and humanoid slaying.
I'm only lvl 49 BM spec. I recently tried the mostly MM and disliked it. My DPS took a Dive, Pets have very little Armor. Aimed shot does not seem that great....Auto shot still does more DPS. I'm back to BM and killing it again. I might try MM once I reach lvl 60.
Is BM better for lvling and MM better for Raids, or does it really matter. Maybe I'm just so used to BM.

How does the simulator come up with these dps numbers? The numbers it spits out are so far above the actual top parses it's insane.
J W these are the best numbers you can get. There’s no accounting for things like lag spikes, latency or just simply misjudging the timing on certain things. But nevertheless it’s a great thing to judge what you want to be aiming for.

Even Iversen because it’s not about just raw hit. It’s about itemization and agility. You have to be able to show them the numbers and inform them that Hunters really make great use of those Rings early on.
As a hunter, you really don't need Accuria MORE than a rogue needs it. Hunters SHOULD be last prio on Accuria. As you can see from the video, you're *barely* losing DPS by putting on biznicks vs sniper scope. Meanwhile the rogues lose much more dps by not having every possible chance to hit.
Your guild is right for not letting you roll on accuria. Raiding in classic wow is not just about you and your gear, there are 39 other people you have to think about as well.
@@DurpeeSlurpee well of course, nobody said Hunter's should be prio'd over Rogues/Tanks, or otherwise. Kinda overstating that :p lol it's all good mate. I got lucky, the same can be said for a lot of Hunters who already have CHT/BB and those Guilds giving it to them. It's not "supposed" to happen, but it does b/c some folks or guilds prio certain things differently. Gotta keep that in mind too :D
Is DFT or blackhand breath better?
DFT isn't realistic for Hunters sadly, it's such a minuscule upgrade for us over Royal Seal. But as a question as to which of those is better, you're best off taking BB. But as far as swapping, it depends on which one you're swapping out.
Yesterday i won dft as a hunter in a random raid.. they sind im prolly the first hunter on Server with dft.. also the Last xD

that there's nothing in BWL we need other than that really. Ashjre'thul is only ever going to go to us, so that shouldn't be counted against us. Rogues/Warriors can go after CTS, DFB and other toys.

Joyrider that pretty much sums it up. We have literally no prio for anything outside of Ashjre’thul and Ashkandi. So it only makes sense

i run the hit scope, zg ring set..(hit scope just allow smore flexibility with later combinations) nef neck etc but for my tier pieces i run 6/8 DS and the BLUE pvp gloves and boots (this has more agi on it due to the set bonus..and ofc the multi bonus)
think its way more consistent than full DS, plus some extra cleave dmg, plus more total raw agi
annnddd honestly the glove and boot BLUE combination is not a difficult pvp grind.
Aye, if you see the Discord information and check the #best_in_slot_p4 section, you will find that PvP gear is listed there as a very viable option for those that want it, I mainly offer pure PvE options for these videos, b/c that's the way most ppl will achieve their BiS lists. not everybody has time for even grinding ranks as low as 6 or 7.

Really appreciate everything about you 1st off. So just got done watching your video & I suppose I am very fortunate that my guild allowed me to DFT. I'm very curious how this now plays out with your theory craft, I have Band of Acura but no Don Julio's. What is your thoughts. Currently I'm 6/8 T2
hjs3rd that’s amazing that you got DFT. honestly. You could rock BoA and Don Julios or MDR with full T2 and be able to use the +7 damage scope. Only problem is you would have to always wear DFT and swap back to Blackhands breadth to do that after using an opener trinket. As for what you do currently. It really depends on what 6 pieces you have.

wrong! All 1H Epic weapons belong to melee, all hunters are to get only the leftover when no one wants it. Everyone in my guild tells me that, so hunters should be contented with those unwanted blues until all melees are fully geared then it's our turn. We are 2nd class citizens.
Justin Theng if anybody is telling you that melee wants those 1-handers then they clearly are being misled by someone. There are infinitely better options for them in BWL and MC. These are purely stack sticks for us. The MH for example is way too fast for Fury Warriors and Rogues to make great use out of. Traditionally they want something slower in the Main Hand.
My main is a rogue and I'm decked out. If any melee uses those ZG swords they need to delete their toon because they are a ninja or a noob. Mh sword is way too fast for melee classes because our abilities scale off wep speed. Listen to Zera, and maybe drop your guild lol.

Its really kind of sad that you are so worried about a hypothetical +1 or +2 extra dps. I find it a huge waste of time even for the best guids in the world who do speed runs that +1 or 2 dps is going to make ANY kind of difference at all.
Chasing after gear that gives us any kind of DPS boost is sort of the whole point to Classic. WIthout that, an individual would most likely just raid log. A lot of my guild mates are leveling alts just so they can continuously pursue more BiS lists and have fun with the theory crafting. That's the whole fun of it. No need in questioning it, just embrace it :D

b/c I don't do PvP in Classic. It's too broken imo. Blizzard has done a horrible job of implementing certain changes to how queues and everything else work. It's really a crap shoot. and I chose not to endure it. So I went for Accuria instead. And, truthfully, in T1 it's actually more DPS with Accuria + Master Dragonslayer's Ring/DJB and going with the +7 Damage Scope. T2 it's better to go with the Jin Set, so in P4 you would never need DJB anyway, it and MDR are equal in DPS.
@@SaltyZera You can get DJB farming AV rep for 3-4 days, whereas you might not get MDR for weeks.
Melchior AO that’s not an untrue statement for some. But for others MDR is far more enjoyable. Not a lot of folks enjoy banging there heads against the wall for 4 days straight. Lol. I know I wouldn’t ever do that. Hehe

Melchior AO bro. I wouldn’t go *that* far. Easier is a relative term. Some guilds don’t even consider MDR a Big Ticket Item. If I really wanted it. I could’ve gotten it week one. But I was eyeing Ashjre’thul, Ashkandi, Prestors and other things. The difference in DPS between the two is less than 0.3. So I’ll just continue to bide my time. BGs are old content to me. I did them endlessly in Vanilla. BWL is new to me, by comparison anyway. So I’m enjoying this time. I’m only missing Prestors and MDR to complete my T1 BiS. So I’m basically done until ZG. At which point I’ll be snapping up the weapons and enchants. And T1 will be completely set. But. Again. You’re not wrong as far as time invested. But I think I’ll just wait. DJB is nice. But it was not at all a necessity. I should’ve done it when everybody else did. But I chose not to. I don’t regret the decision. But after that initial hype died down. I’m better off focusing on creating content than spending ten hours a day for nearly an entire week grinding out a ring that’s virtually no better than a ring I can simply snag any time now in BWL. I said that everybody’s mileage may vary. +7 scopes are super cheap. 3% scopes aren’t nearly as expensive to us since we just farm up Tributes for a hour or two and viola. You got the gold. Not too sure what you’re talking about 😂
