That was funny :D Thanks! Also actually why I found this video is because when I rewind the tape then it stops and I see what is seen in this video at 1:05 - BUT it has 1 instead of 2. So this tape sign and nr 1. ALSO it just turned off the power and does not turn on again, display is blank. What might this be?
Glad you liked it. The numbers relate to the two inputs. 1 = Front sockets and 2 = Rear/Scart (I think - might be vice versa). As for the recorder not turning back on??? have you checked the mains fuse in the plug? If that's OK, then the PSU is suspect.
Well you must have a different manual to me. I searched both the User and Service Manuals, and neither mention "E1" or "E2", Either in reference to AV1 & AV2 or to error messages. The only way I found out they mean the same was by accidentally looking at the OSD at the same time as the Front Display.
My philips dvd750vr dvd vcr combo turns off with display showing err 1 when i turn it back on it spits the tape out, I've already cleaned the mode switch
Sometimes you need to keep the top cover on as too much light can confuse the optical sensors. Usually, tapes being ejected is a symptom of Head or Capstan Rotation errors. Do they turn? What happens if you manually load the carriage without a tape in, i.e., holding the flap latches and moving the carrier forward.
As a 'fixer' myself I had to smile as I have had similar experiences. Thanks for posting this as its exactly the 'solution' to my problem.
;)

@@ChasLarge I have no electronics skills. The device is dead. So I will bring it to some repair shop for now.
Don't feel bad I thought the same until I looked it up myself! Wow how we learn by having a manual

I didn't search for one I went by your findings! @@ChasLarge

Ihave same error but everything work perfect so I dont even know why this E2 is on display
That's sort of the point of the video, it's NOT AN ERROR. E1 = AV1 and E2 = AV2 E = External.
I tried to find E2 and E4 ... But I do have error code 2 and 4 :^/
Remember E1 and E2 are NOT ERRORS, they indicate the AV inputs AV1 and AV2 (SCART and Front inputs).
@@ChasLarge Thanks! I did realize this later and felt quite stupid :^|
So how dod you solve it?
Its NOT AN ERROR, thats the point of the video. 😜
