Rode Podmic is one of my favorite mic for a low price range. However, I recently came across Fifine K688, and I'll be honest it has kind of become my new fav in low price.

I like the fifine k888 better. I also use the Zoom p4 with my mic. I think it's a crisper sound (which I like). If you keep an eye on Amazon, they have lightning deals on the fifine. I got mine at $55 US.

Nice that's a great deal you got on fifine. I also like Maono mics as well. Affordable and sounds great.

It might be just me being a bit biased because I own a K688 myself, but I like it way better than the Podmic.
Fifine’s low-ends are way more on the broadcast-ish, deep, rich side and I absolutely love it.
The unique and still familiar aesthetics really round off a fantastic product.
I got mine on a discount from Amazon for 69€ and together with a Elgato Mini Mount, it’s by far my favourite piece of podcasting gear. ☺️

Fair enough. However, both mics have their pros and cons.
Rode is a beautiful looking solid microphone and has good quality audio.
K688 is a great sounding microphone parallel to Rode Podmic. I just wish it was named better 😁
