Nice! :-) Hint: there is a seamless remote control by Mould King, for example included with the "Christmas train" or the "magic train". These sets also feature the ultrasound steamer, which I can recommend as the steam source of choice for brick-built models.
Last time Lego had a brick-built passenger train nose (up until this video released) was actually 10233 Horizon Express from 2013 (still quite a while ago) and it's based on French TGV (Update: Lego will have another brick-built train nose this year)
I always print off my own decals so I can always have transparent ones so I don't have to deal with stickers at all. It's an added step with anything I build, but it's worth it I think. Canon and Brother have the best printers for that job. Just be sure the resolute is high so you can have nice crisp images.
This doesnt even look that bad. I have plans on making a little lego train layout and i think i might buy this thing for it since i think it'll look cool and i'll have a extra motor if i want to use it for other trains (not to mention the lights will be very usefull)
Nice video. I’ve been debating adding this one to my collection, although I think I’m going to wait until Mould king releases they’re 3 streamlined passenger sets with Mallard, the one German steamer and the Chinese SL7 (or was it a SL8? I forget)
@@Dronesword123 i bought mine from a store called “MouldKing Bricks Toy Store” on AliExpress. Looks legit, but I’ve got three days left for them to process/ship the order or I get a full refund. You got to roll the dice on AliExpress, which sucks but it is what is is ya know?
@@Dronesword123 I managed to speak with my seller yesterday, 11/22. I cancelled my order as this product will not be available for another month. I am assuming that all the listings right now are in anticipation. My advice is just hold and try again after Christmas.
@@ToledoRails Not gonna complaint about that. Altought I dont thing american trains are that much wider than european ones. What Im going to say is, lego has to get in gear, because this set is a statement. It means that china can do original sets, and be better desing than lego's current offering. Imagine how economicaly dangerous this set could be if it was near lego quality bricks and 140-150€. Lego wouldnt do it for less than 200. And forget about the modularity of selling independent parts to expand on it.
@@acynder1 I’ll say this much about the quality. There’s a level of polish and finish on the Lego versions that are better. Chinese bricks are a little harder and a build can make my hands hurt for a few days afterwards. The shite electronics don’t help either. Chinese bricks to save money but invest in good electronics is my philosophy
@@ToledoRails yep, thats why I said that they have to get better on the brick quality. On the electronics side, I usualy use Chinese motors and bateries running a original LEGO IR reciever, since I am not much of a fan of the new bt controler, or more specificaly, the cellphone app. IF they had something like the Sbrick app im customization, then I would swich.

Hey. Don’t spoil my magic train review I’m working on ;)

Hoping you review more alternatives for our train community. Keep up the great work.

Finally another great video on some fairly good looking models
Excellent video by ToledoRails!
Your Mouldking reviews make me really want to buy the QJ and modify it into Iowa Interstate 6988
Do it! OKBrickworks would my recommendation for custom stickers

Nice cat ya got there, really smart.
Interesting! When will the Chinese knock off mogul review be coming out?
Potentially next review. I’ve got charter videos first

7 stud wide trains is the future of Lego Trains
Eh it depends on what you’re doing. 7 wide for European and British is perfect but US needs to be 8 wide

Just a suggestion! Its a half train, maybe buying another set so it can be completed, faster, and longer👍🏻?
If you watched the video I suggest that!

I find it funny that a knockoff lego company is providing better sets for the lego train community than Lego is
Mouldking has much better builds.
Even if the overall quality is lower.
