the adaptive athlete community is absolutely SAVAGE in their sense of humour...!! The Ogar's in particular are great to hang around - super professional in their running of events etc. but always quick with a joke or a hilarious put-down (esp. Shannon) 🤣

It’s the 10% drop off for me and no one seems to understand it’s a business at the end of the day. I’ve said it before and will say it again. We’ve progressed soooo much from Working Wounded Games.
We will get to where we have more podium money/ prizes. Uniform issues will be resolved I’m sure.
So to my fellow athlete’s we need to take a step back and see it is progressing for the future generation of athletes in our communities.
Folks can have this discussion in a professional manner and stop comparing ourselves to the elite able body and their payouts.
Some athletes don’t want to hear it and that’s where we have to ask are those athletes truly in it for themselves since it’s about money or is it about the community?

I was just reminiscing about WWG the other day ❤ It took what 8(?) years to get HQ to even recognize Adaptive Crossfit as a games division while we were out there competing on our own. I think everyone needs to have some patience and just keep pushing and supporting each other.

@@lmk5009 agreed. It’s been a long road from 2015. I think I’m the last one from the old guard still trying to keep up with these giants.
