Aye. Except for the last try. Scotland's exhilarating fight back, from 31-7 down to 31-38, deserved better. Still it was likely a fair result all things considered. What a game!
36:16... THAT pass. When Finn Russell is playing at his top level it leads to some of the most beautiful rugby you'll ever watch (see 2019 game for further details). Also as an English supporter he remains in my nightmares, haha.
Huw Jones is one of the best if not the best centre that has ever played for Scotland. He never fails to excite when he has the ball and a little space to run into. He is like a wee battle tank with amazing acceleration. His centre of gravity must be near the ground.
The best of Eddie Jones wobbly wobbly heavyweights rolling around and being outclassed by a lightweight lean Scotland squad totally on form giving Eddie a masterclass in how to actually play the game as opposed to trying to bulldozer it
Scotland 🏴 *Tries:* H. Jones (2), S. Maitland *Conversions:* G. Laidlaw (2/3) *Penalties:* G. Laidlaw England 🏴 *Tries:* O. Farrell *Conversions:* O. Farrell *Penalties:* O. Farrell (2/2)
He got injured a few times, left to play for a club in France But he plays for Glasgow now and is targeting to play in the next tournament thing whatever they call it
He was picked in the 6N vs Ireland and England then dropped for the Italy and France games. He's got competition from Harris and Hutchinson for his position but he'll get more games soon, he's still a classy player.
Dave Rennie wasn't really a fan of him when he was Glasgow coach. Never explictly stated it but the mutterings were that while his attacking ability was fantastic Rennie felt he was weak defensively and often preferred Grigg at 13. In the end Rennie liked hard, gritty players and I don't think Jones' face fitted. His lack of game time meant Townsend couldn't really pick him.
The 2019 game is arguably one of the greatest test games of all time

Not sure the commentators realise they just witnessed one of the all time best passes in rugby history.
Forever the Finn man

He reminds me of Juan Martin Hernandez, touch of El Mago about him.
I had my heart in my mouth when he did that pass. I was convinced it would get intercepted

Scotlands games realises on good defence when that works there backs can do what they want and over the years they have had some of the best

England V. Scotland, the rivalry continues.
As an 🌹 fan, painful to watch😣 great game played by 🏴 and were deserved winners. Who could’ve known they would dazzle us again in 2019😲

He is still listed as a member of the Scotland team and he plays for Glasgow Warriors. Covid has stopped all sports for the moment.
David Robertson I meant why doesn’t he get picked anymore, been out of favour for a while
@@MackenzroGaming I hadn't noticed but I agree he is a quality player and deserves selection.

Rewatching years later and Nigel is definitely wearing a blue shirt.
I take it this means scottish rugby has exhausted its supply of successful games for any of its teams
So many Africans and Caribbean in this English team why???
7 years of pain for England against Scotland only 1 win in 7 years yeh there was a draw 38:38😂
