- The second day of our German Rhine River Cruise took us from Mainz, to Mannheim, to Rüdesheim, which was a great place to try some local wines, do some shopping, and hike up through a gigantic vineyard that has been producing wine for thousands of years! #cruiseship #rivercruise #germany

2:35 The water tower was damaged by allied bombing during WWII. My great-grandfather was a metalsmith and he helped rebuild the roof when it was restored in the 1950s.
If you decide to do a group cruise for your subscribers, I would love to join in!
I love that you travelled on a Not a Big Brand Name line for another river cruise. I dont need IG-able food or the fanciest of rooms. Tasty food, good service, fun itinerary and cozy rooms are just fine by me.😊👍 Nice to know there are options!
We been on Gate 1 river cruise this year. Crew, food, everything was fabulous. No need to travel with big names.
"They do such a good job of making it look just like Germany here." Oh, you tourist you. 🤣
You actually passed two very impressive cathedrals but didn't really mention them: those of Mainz and Worms. There's even a third large romanesque, imperial cathedral on the Rhine, just a few miles beyond Ludwigshafen: Speyer Cathedral.
Thank you for introducing this wonderful place
AMA includes excursions in every port and in some ports you might be able to fit 2 in, also they include transportation to the city center at many ports
Lol love the relationship advice 😂
We are looking for a lower cost cruise on the Rhine. Thus might just fill our needs. We don’t need fancy food or a drink package. Thank you.
Took the Avalon Waterways Impression, we were in the rivers only days ahead of you. We never had to order food in advance. It was always lovely.
I am glad you guys did some touring on your own.
In Ruedesheim after you take the cable car to the monument, you can walk a way and take a chairlift down to the town of Assmannhausen where you can go back to Ruedesheim by boat or train. Nice little round trip
I adore Rudesheim, especially during the Christmas market
Really nice cruise! Makes me want to go someday!
Morgan fantastic footage 💕 what a lovely cruise sure given us thought for maybe looking in to doing one 😜
Great series learning about the Different River cruise lines prices etc very interesting.
Thank you for Taking us along really enjoyed it.
Have a Great time with your family in Minnesota en joy your Break away 🥰
That’s my favorite cathedral and right across is Louis Vuitton !
Thank you Morgan, for this video which gives me ideas for a river cruise. Have fun back in Minnesota🤗
Have you visited the Elbphilharmonie or any of the adjacent unusual public spaces? This part of Hamburg is designed by several globally known post-modern architects.
Looks and sounds fabulous!
Here for the healthy relationship advice 😂
Morgan, Are you going to do a Nicko Ocean Cruise in the near future? Thanks, Jeanine
Maybe? Do you think that would be interesting to see?

Yes, we need a review on
Nicko Voyager. It goes to Iceland, Greenland and Scotland. All 3 places are bucket lists for most people. The ship has less than 200 passengers. It looks interesting thank you for your reply..
What would you say was the breakdown of nationalities onboard? Lots of German and French, Brits? Just curious.
Like the vid! Couple of Questions
1. Luv that you did your own excursions! wondering about the fees and how to pay or did you prebook'em?
Luv that NICKO is budget friendly but...
1. Were all of the meal options "tiny portions"?
2. What time of year did yo travel?
Most of the stuff we did on this cruise we just kind of paid as we went, like the cable car or the subway rides.
Tiny compared to what? :-P
This trip was in May, I believe.
Hey there!! I’m saving up for a river cruise. Do you have a specific video where you compare contrast the different river cruise lines you’ve been on? I’d love to know how they compare. Viking- Viva and Nicco, and any others I missed.
I guess I kind of do that in this video. I hope it helps! ruclips.net/video/MlyC2Ey15a8/видео.html
The food looked awesome. I had a near midnight-snack of dried (aka not cooked) two minute noodles…satisfyingly crunchy but not a patch on what you showed in the video 😑
Great train ride my friend 👍👍
The boat looks nice thanks for sharing castles 🏰
Stay blessed 😇🙏🫵
Looks like a great cruise.
Quick question Morgan...are any of the stops on your cruise at places you can visit all those faiytale castles? Thats the issue I had when we did a coach tour of Ireland. We passed all these csatles and ruins but didn't stop. Of course we did Blarney, Cork and the sheep farm, woolen mill and distillery and it was very fun, but are there boats that will stop with castle excursions?
Good question, and the answer is actually no! You only get to see them from the deck of the ship!
Why do they need for you to decide what you want for lunch and dinner at breakfast? Never had that happen on either of the river cruises I’ve taken.
I think it's so they can be more specific and less wasteful with the food preparation and storage.
Curious...as an older person, what does your Mom think of a river cruise compared to the big cruises?
Oooh! I'd love a video of Morgan and Mom discussing travel. HINT HINT
Is flaming coffee can be ordered in other germany? Like cologne or heidelberg?
I'm sure they do it in other places, but I think this is where it was made famous.

How did it happen that you wanted to order red wine instead of the famous white wine? I assume that you had tasted two glasses of the famous pomace brandy before. 😋
Btw: "Sea Lachs"? This must be "Denglish" for coalfish. 🤣
I just ordered 2 wines off their list, assuming they ONLY had white wine. Wrong!
Nice video
Music is distracting
I like the music.
River cruises are boring, the ships are extremely small. It is better to make the tour from Duesseldorf along the Rhine to Basel by train.Use hotels to get to know the country and the people.
We like to do both land and water. Only unpack once and get a beautiful view on the boat. Then you can decide where you want to go back to - then when traveling by land, enjoy the culture and meet locals. Both good ways :)
