My strategy for silver stacking for the last 4 years is get whatever is the lowest price at the time. So long as it's at least .999 or better I don't care who put their company name on it or what the picture is on it. When premium coins cost the same as generic rounds I buy the premium. For a while there I was getting Britannias for the same cost as Asahi or other generics and many times got Philharmonics or Krugerrands that way. This has allowed me to stack several thousand ounces. I have no 401K, silver is it so get as much as you can and to heck with paying extra for fancy names. When the price skyrockets no one is going to care if it says Krugerrand or Highland Mint they are going to pay the current price for silver or better.
@@brandons7272Canadian maples are 4 nines fine, as are Australian kangaroos. All of the 2oz British Tudor beasts collection are 999.9, in fact there are more coins than you’d think that are 4 nines. You’ll pay the extra for that 0.9 though and I don’t think it works out as cost effective in the long run. It’s nice just to have a few for the collection though

@brandons7272 The silver bars and coins I get out of Canada are .9999 but the US stuff is .999+ but they don't say + what. My German 100 oz bars are marked .9999 as well. Liberty Coin in Huntington Beach CA gets what they call generic Buffaloes from Canada that are .9999 also.
I’m new to stacking and I’ve seen many videos of folks stacking coins and they prefer it. But I agree with you, stacking bars does seem more like treasure. Coins just feel like coin collecting. Nothing too sexy. But bars on the other hand kind of have a “wealthy” look and feel to them. Thank you for the video!
I personally prefer the 10oz Royal Canadian Mint bars and the 10oz Royal Mint bars. I just think they are better looking, and I like that a government mint produced them.

Germaniamint is my new go-to silver. I like how they come already in plastic and in a box. The prices are about the price I want to spend when I buy some SIlver. I have used a lot of online stores, but recently have found that Hero Bullion is a lot better priced than it's competitors.
Yep they were over$10 cheaper for 10 ounce Germans silver bars when I purchased a few. Following week silver went up a small amount then hero was over $20 a bar cheaper.
I just got a 10 ozt bar ordered. Cant wait to see what Hero sends. It was a random pick. Got it right before the price went up. Deal is already 11 dollars more

Im a single father with 2 boys. Ive survived 5 bouts of cancer to include testicular skin and lung. 15 operation have left me with living in a trailor with a breathing machine on pallitive care because now this past year I have suffered congestive heart failure causing me a gfeat amount of pain and stress. Breathing with only one lung which I have COPD and Emphysema has become exhausting. I focuse on staying alive for my sons. My youngest 15 and the eldest 24. I'm trying to stack all that I can to leave for them a good lesson in saving for the future, their future. Im doing my best with limited funds but I want them to have a good and honest start. So far I've amassed (mostly coin) but do have some gram bars and a 10 oz. Which is my favorite. All in total 29 ounces of walking liberty's and eagles, as well as some generics. In the end scheme no-one cares who stamped it as long as it melts correctly. Hopefully I can find better deals for my boys up until I cannot afford them anylonger. Germania Mint has been my favorite. They come in 100 gram, 500 gram, 5 oz, 10 oz and the kilo. They are very compact and easy for storage. They are also .9999 . I like Monument Metals in MD.
I like to focus on bars throughout the year when premiums are low. I buy 10 oz. RCM, Asahi, and Academy Stacker bars when I feel that the price is right. Then into the Air-Tite bullion coffins ⚰️ they go. I also like 1 oz. bars and buy them in sets of five. I keep those in Air-Tites and store them in a 25-count Guardhouse box. I’m trying to get different sets of five and have filled one box by doing that. Now five deep into the second Guardhouse with the 1 oz. Samurai bars. 🇯🇵🏯 Makes stacking and collecting bars a bit more fun for me.
A little late to this video but listened intently. Your calm reasoning approach to explaining silver and the world economy makes you my first go to when my silver alerts come up. Some go into such minute detail it gets boring. And when all their videos are them marking out to the local coin shop owner it just seems lame. Variety will be the key for whatever happens down the road. Big bars for investing, 1oz rounds for barter/trade. Constitutional/junk silver for backup.
I mostly buy coins but the other day I saw the 5oz Aztec silver bar and just had to pick up one of those. Also got a couple of the 2oz Aztec rounds. They do make them pretty.

Silvertown, Highland Mint, Sunshine Mint, Golden State Mint, Istanbul Gold Refinery, Mason Mint, Silver & Gold Bull, SD Bullion etc. All that matters to me is it's .999+ and they all are, buying from reputable sellers like Liberty Coin, Money Metals Exchange, Ayden Coins, Provident Precious Metals, etc, you know it's REAL as they check it using electro magnetic systems to authenticate it. You are right on.
I previously used jm bullion - high prices, fast shipping but not so good in customer service. My three 100 oz bars or total of 300 oz bars shipped UPS and never came. I had to wait 6-7 weeks to get my money back. It was on the UPS truck and magically disappeared. I did report it to them within 1.5 days and it was insured. But I heard their insurance does not cover after being left at the door or if you wait like 4 days to report. Luckily, I did get my money and rebought kilo's from Monument Metals at a much lower price. They are small co. but very good. A little slower but superior! Their checking system is not plaid so it is compatible with my bank. They will not ship UPS in Denver metro either. Either FedEx or mail.

Would you want something you could melt and not feel bad in the process of doing it? When you need to unstack? Something like a Hershey chocolate bar format?
If my budget if 40$ and I'm able to spend 5$ on one gram after spending 35$ with ahipping to get one ounce I buy it because it's still silver and it will add up over time you're also not spending money on shipping for just one ounce or one gram so it's one ounce and 1 gram each time you buy a single and it will eventually add up if you can't spent like 60 for 2 oz
I have everything from 1/2oz rounds to 100oz bars. But most of my stack, maybe 70% is in 10oz bars. Just seemed to work out this way. Better premiums than 1oz bars/rounds, and not as problematic as 100oz bars.
i have 120kg planning buying more next year another 50 kg, if the price still the same..target till 2030 complete stacking 500kg. I have stack gold 5.1 kg hopefully end of the year 7kg
They're about as generic as generic can get, but on the plus side they usually carry a low premium. At the end of the day, silver is silver so yeah they're great!

I found your information on silver bare to be quite informative but was disappointed that you said so little about the 100oz.bar except that it could break your foot if you dropped it. Engelhard does have a great reputation and their name alone seems to command a bit of a premium.
I collect the vintage poured. lucky enough to have a source that does not charge significant premiums … just don’t know what some of that stuff is worth 😉
Right now as I am watching your video the spot price on silver $24.56 and the Scottsdale mint is asking a $70 premium on a 10 silver stacker. That works out to a premium of 28.5% over the spot price. That seems absurd to me. Am I missing something? I can buy gold at 5.8% over spot. I am relatively new at all this and I am sure there is something I'm missing. Can you give me some clues?
Seems like Scottsdale mint has a higher premium. I don’t know why. Like he said - just find the deals- Sunshine mint- And those RCM .9999 10 oz bars are very nice. I used to be picky. Now I just look for lowest premium. And yes, if you have 2k Buy a ounce of gold when the premiums drop- Imo You need both silver and gold.
In my 30+ years of buying silver I've bought everything from 1oz to 1000oz bars. My favorite for the last 2 years has been 10oz bars. Recently I've stumbled on a steady supply of 10oz poured fleur-de-lis bars at a smoking deal. Picked up 12 of them in the last 3 weeks. The older I get the less I want to mess with anything over a kilo. It's just too damn heavy. I'm not looking forward to the day that I have to move one of my 1000oz bars.
I have lots of silver.....some gold.....but what i never hear anyone talking about is Palladium....right now...a 1 oz Palladium coin is $500 higher than a 1 oz ..Gold Eagle....I was just wondering what you thought about the ramp...Not gonna chase it....esp when i dont understand it....
I wouldn't buy any. The big industrial use for palladium is in catalytic converters. When the world switches to electric cars and it will there will be a drop in price. It will definitely be cheaper than gold at that point. I stack silver gold and platinum and in that order.

I like the Engelhard, Johnson Matthey, Geiger & Germania bars are my favorite. I like them in 10oz or kilo bars

Right now as I am watching your video the spot price on silver $24.56 and the Scottsdale mint is asking a $70 premium on a 10 silver stacker. That works out to a premium of 28.5% over the spot price. That seems absurd to me. Am I missing something? I can buy gold at 5.8% over spot. I am relatively new at all this and I am sure there is something I'm missing. Can you give me some clues?
Physical demand for silver is insanely high. But I'd expect to pay $3-4 over spot for 10 ounce bars
Thats what he said in the video. Scottsdale makes great stuff and premiums used to be low, but now everybody loves them so premiums are high.
Seems like Scottsdale mint has a higher premium. I don’t know why. Like he said - just find the deals- Sunshine mint- And those RCM .9999 10 oz bars are very nice. I used to be picky. Now I just look for lowest premium.

Generally speaking I would consider it to be better to have multiple small bars than one large bar, if all other factors are the same.

In my 30+ years of buying silver I've bought everything from 1oz to 1000oz bars. My favorite for the last 2 years has been 10oz bars. Recently I've stumbled on a steady supply of 10oz poured fleur-de-lis bars at a smoking deal. Picked up 12 of them in the last 3 weeks. The older I get the less I want to mess with anything over a kilo. It's just too damn heavy. I'm not looking forward to the day that I have to move one of my 1000oz bars.

I like the 10 oz bars but would consider 1/2 kilo or kilo. Would stay away from 100 oz bars cause I need my toes☠️💀☠️
Yeah I don't think I'll be stacking too many more 100 oz bars. I would kinda like an RCM 100 oz bar, but that would be about it
I have lots of silver.....some gold.....but what i never hear anyone talking about is Palladium....right now...a 1 oz Palladium coin is $500 higher than a 1 oz ..Gold Eagle....I was just wondering what you thought about the ramp...Not gonna chase it....esp when i dont understand it....
I wouldn't buy any. The big industrial use for palladium is in catalytic converters. When the world switches to electric cars and it will there will be a drop in price. It will definitely be cheaper than gold at that point. I stack silver gold and platinum and in that order.
