    A very personal interpretation of train travel - and you're right: it seems very surreal for the most part 🙄
    However, it doesn't suit my own taste of train travel: the feeling of looking at foreign landscapes and cities through the train window cannot be replaced by anything in "normal" train travel and can only perhaps be topped by a ride in the driver's cab!
    High-speed traffic is absolutely fine for traveling quickly from A to B, perhaps even necessary in this day and age when "time is money" is known to be true 🤑💰
    But it has nothing to do with the experience of a relaxed journey for the mind and soul - whether in Japan or another part of the world... 🤔
    Nevertheless, thank you very much for your attempt and for presenting a Shinkansen ride 😊

      When the first Shinkansen opened in 1964, the designers debated whether to have four or five seats in a row. Of course, five seats would increase the capacity and reduce comfort. The plan that was adopted was to have five rows in the second class.
      This style is still in use today, and the Shinkansen has become a very businesslike train. It is very different from the first class of the ICE.
      However, the Shinkansen style has made it an express train that anyone can ride casually (even young people in jeans and T-shirts). This is a good point.
      I feel sad about the businesslike style of Japan today, and I think many people feel the same way. The current Japanese railway companies do not have the spirit or the challenge to overturn this. What is more important is a large retirement bonus.
