I’m having the most fun watching these Month of May tutorials! I’m learning a ton. I’ve been sewing for decades, but I only started trying drafting about a year ago, and you’re helping me understand the process even more, so thanks!🥰
Thanks for answering all my questions! I am learning so much from these Let’s Make May tips. Sewing waistbands has always been mind twisting for me and now I am finally figuring out how to sew them so they are neat inside and outside and fit me! Thanks to you 👍
I’m learning so much watching these videos. Just the first few minutes has been a real insight as to why we do things. I now understand more about waistbands for my jeans which I’m still to perfect but this will really help me so thank you ❤. And knowing to change from the seam line not the cut line if making adjustments like you’ve shown - wow. Still so much to learn. 😮
Nice! I’m really glad the information is useful! I know some of these topics seem basic-but they’re not! They’re foundational. And all things build upon a good foundation! Thanks for watching!
Merci beaucoup pour vos vidéos très claires et très pédagogiques j’adore !!! Merci pour votre travail et vos partages. Veronica ( France) même si c’est en anglais!!
Let’s say that you are going to sew a pair of shorts that have a straight waistband, they also have elastic inside. Could a person still make a curved waistband as demonstrated in the video? Or does this only work for zip up pants/shorts? The pattern appears to have a flat front, but elastic back however it’s one long waistband. Just wondering…
Well, yes and no. The elastic inside is not curved. But at least it can stretch more along one edge and the inner curve can rein it in a bit. I think a curved waistband is very side useful for those who need it and it’ll still help when it’s elastic.
These are golden nuggets you are handing out here Saremy, thank you so much for all your tutorials. 😘😘😘
Thank you Julie! They’ve been fun to do!
