I remember my aceint greek professor talking about books like these, she would always joke and try to make light of it. Stuff like if the book starts floating when your reading your translations are right. But I remember when she was sent a few photo copied pages of a 16th century latin copy of Picarix by a colleague. She handled that stuff like it was a bomb. It was werid to see her so genuinely unsettled.

@Rulya Mórrigan Ard Mhacha I hear that! I have seen parts and clips from some of these books in my studies. Honestly, most of what's in them is fairly harmless up front, with only a couple of places where the really really heavy metal demonic stuff comes into play. Also, a big issue with medieval books is when you get a copy that was written by a half-blind monk so most of it is miss spelled and miss worded so the only thing you will be summoning is a massive headache trying to read it.
Granted looking at photocopies is not picking up an original and reading through the entire thing cover to cover. Which is something I would be way less enthusiastic to do that.

    • @aarona4131
      @aarona4131 3 года назад +13

@@crimsonffire Again Amanda; you are right.
Demons have ranks and djinn have clans system.Though they are same being; many consider them to be different mainly due to they physical appearance (I’m talking about they actual appearance not the appearance these entities desire to manifest as that can be anything).
Not all Demons are in servitude to devil aka Satan: some are good demons that reside in hell, on earth and in air (space between below first heaven and our realms). There are demons that are far older the Satan himself and are very very ancient and powerful. They are demons who rebelled against Satan. And then there are demons; who refuse to join Satan. Earth bound demons are different to hell realm demons and they have their own ranking systems. Earth bound demons tend to be smaller in numbers compared to they cousins in hell but what they lack in numbers they make it up in their skills and intelligence. They are smart, work together as a team and produce better outcome then hell born demons; who are basically savages and wouldn’t think twice to turn on their own family. They are good for in revenge magick.
Within djinn realm, they have their own sub race. Ifrit, Marid, jann, ghoul and more. Djinn are said to be more powerful then demons but that all depends on who is the opponent. Demons, especially are that in higher rank are very very powerful and kill djinns or lower rank demons instantly (I’m talking about seconds). Ive had personal experience with both djinn and demons. Djinns are more like are watchers. They watch you from distance whereas demons like to get involved in everything lol
But I wouldn’t recommend messing with these beings. They are very real and can f**k you up almost within days. And these books are real too. I read many grimoires and believe me they bring no good to u. Magick is art that no one actually graduates from. Even experts who has years and years of experience, can make mistake. So please be careful and don’t meddle with things that are beyond your control.

These books have had such an indelible effect on Western culture that nearly any and all fictional universes that are seated in fantasy and magic, have spell books and summoning rituals for controlling demons and making golems. It's so expected that any writer wanting to tell a story set in a fantasy better be sure to include these mechanics otherwise it just doesn't feel right to most readers. It's almost as if these books insist on imprinting themselves into our deep psyche before we even know they exist, so that we seek them out without really understanding what we're even looking for. There's something a bit sinister about that.

One of my favorite ritual creepy pasta stories is about a ritual that takes place in a library. I don't remember most of it, but there is a question the caster must ask before they are cleared to start: What is the most dangerous weapon in the world? The answer is 'knowledge', and I didn't realize it before hearing that story (with MrCreepyPasta narrating) for the first time. As a librarian, this is a self-evident truth, both terrible and marvelous, that my fellows and I face every day that we help others find the 'knowledge' they are seeking.
Magic books are one of my favorite topics to talk about, both benign and dangerous. I'd love to hear more about them in the future.

Hello, I've been a subscriber for awhile now, and I have done a lot of research on varied subjects, I'm an academic and a nerd. In a nutshell, if something interests me, I become obsessed and I seek out everything I can read and/or put things together from different source material to further my theory on my analysis of my subject, which in this case I do know a little about Solomon. Right now, I'm paused at Timestamp - 4:51. So I'm not too far into your video, but the material that I found was varied. But one of the oldest versions of the Solomon story was that (I'm not going to go deep into this LONG explanation, just a quick note here) he was told that he could be granted anything that wanted. He asked for "WISDOM". God seeing that his request was neither out of greed nor vanity, granted it. Meaning the whole creationism is based around the premise that "GOD" and only GOD can ultimately grant these powers,(NOT Magical or evil, I'm trying to explain this but it's not coming out right) even though they are given through dreams, Angels and the like ( Meaning that ONE cannot look into the face of God in direct conversation and survive, even Moses only saw his backside and it aged him tremendously. So God's Will is carried out through his Angel's, dreams and the like. That's what I meant to convey) And that's why Solomon was one of the most revered Kings, because he was wise. There is a book called The Key of Solomon. Why they keep dragging him into it, I don't know. But his WISDOM was not advice from Demons but knowledge granted him by God or Yahweh. I'm going to stop now. But I just thought I would throw that in there. I really enjoy your content.

I feel that any relations between demons and Solomon, or controlling a god and Moses, go against what is known about the two individuals. For Moses, his seeing the utter disassembly of Egypt’s gods at the hands of God, he’d be at no place in his mind to believe anyone could control him, or under the foolish notion that any god but God held powers of any sort to rival.
As for Solomon, he would be well acquainted with what demons actually are, and that to construct a temple for the most high even using them as slaves would desecrate and invalidate the purpose of the temple.
If anyone is interested in how I came to the conclusions and the deeper story behind both figures, I’d be happy to discuss it. I do feel however that the use of the names was likely to lend authority to the works, and dupe unsuspecting or overzealous individuals into performing rituals that would, without fail, eventually doom their souls no matter the benefits in the short term

@Mike W 😲 Are you being for real? Did you actually see some thing like that? There was no way it could have been a deranged human? I believe in these things too, I think that there are Things in this world 🌍 that exist that can't be explained. But some of them seem so fantastical that they seem more fairytale than possible. The goatman seemed like one of them. What did your therapist say about these encounters with this creature? Did your therapist believe you?

@Mike W want to hear something even MORE sketchy? After our Denver trip i came home my Hulu suggestions had Missing 411. I never heard of this show before. That park Ranger i ran into looked freaked out, im guessing that huge storm they had must've whatever lives in the mountains.

I have loved all of this since I was about 7 and I found my first ghost book with pictures in the library (late 80's). I am however a huge scaredy cat regarding things like these. I soooo want to learn about them, but I don't want to have to touch the book or read from it because knowing me... So thank you for fulfilling my childhood (and adult) fantasies 😊

Just sit there to contemplate it all after you come back because you're gonna see such
crazy and radical things in these trips. That when you come back you're gonna be like what the fuck was that? And you're gonna spend a week just in the shower, what the fuck was that? Cooking your food, what the fuck was that? Driving to work, what the fuck was that? Sitting at work doing your work, what the fuck was that? Thinking that. Trying to wrap your mind around it. Try to remember and trying to figure it out and that's a very valuable process.

Lots of this type of literature were most likely written or intended for that time and era that it was produced....it can be ttotally misinterpreted or misunderstood in our century and time....I've looked into many books and transcripts correlating to occult readings and different bibles that are not even known...it is better not to just find or pick up literature or readings you don't understand...that includes books of spells ,the occult rituals ,demonic related material,..etc...as a person of historical curiosity,I possess alot of books and literature on this a enue....it has to be respected and not misinterpreted or desecrated...that's my advice for curious folks....don't pick up a book of century old spells and try it out...it can backfire in a way you wouldn't realize...it is powerful stuff but needs respect and acknowledgement. ..be safe out there. GOD BLESS.
