    I bought this today then decided to see a review. Backwards, I know, but found yours, positive, thankfully. 😊And thank you. I like your approach, however, I wish you had cut out 60 seconds of flashing auto-effects and instead shown some real setups in photo-videography. EG, how would you set it up as a "Gel" Rim/Hair/Kicker light? How close, what power, effective for a bkgd, etc, etc. I realize there is a lot of variation from one home studio to another, but to have seen how you do it for whatever specialty you choose to use it, would have been helpful. With your style, adding the question of "How do I actually use it?" to your agenda in making YT videos might turn out very special. Thanks for sharing this.

    How bright is this light? I'm looking to replace a 10" ring light. Is it robust enough to work in tough conditions?

    • @bigtundra5264

      I use it for makeup work on beaches. My tripods get knocked over often, together with the lights. The ring lights shatter into pieces, the baseplate breaks off, etc.

      These lights have some rubber filters that’ll definitely protect them.

      @@CamberFilmSchool Thanks, I ended up going with ulanzi R70 units instead of the smallrig rig (of this video). Was a very good price at under $50 USD each with the black friday sales. Has a good arm and is magnetic, but missing the attachments that the armless lights have. I leaned in favour of having the arm.

    Would this be useable as a portable light for filming interviews? Looking for something simple to travel with.

    • @CamberFilmSchool
      @CamberFilmSchool  2 года назад +2

      It could still work well for that as long as you have the light close enough. The diffuser cover works well for softening the light too.

      Possibly. Depends on how close to the background you are and how wide your lens is. You’d probably need a couple to get a whole wall.
