How to make lower thirds in premiere pro? Good question, In this video, we explore how to create and animate basic lower thirds in Premiere pro. A common misconception is that you need to be a graphic designer to create good lower thirds. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. And now with the addition of Motion Graphics capabilities inside of Premiere Pro, the process of creating lower thirds has never been easier.

in top left you have effects, essential graphics etc, i do not, how do i get those there?
go to windows and select essential graphics (next to help and view column)

If used ultra key to lower third my lower third fonts was automatically changed to overlay... What we do??

thank you! when I import lower thirds from AE they take up the whole screen, how to I add them to premiere as a true lower third?
Hi Irit! Are the titles changing sizes when you import them from AE? What I mean is, are they smaller in AE and then larger in Pr? This is likely because your project frame size is larger in AE (4K maybe) and smaller in Premiere (1080P maybe) and the solution to this is to either reduce the size of the imported text by 50% or right click on the text and select "set to frame size"

Great Video. With the new update eliminating legacy title, it's forcing me to migrate and start using this. Question though. When I go to export my motion graphic, it's not showing the essential graphics folder as an option. Any ideas?

How did you get to "Essential Graphics" that doesn't appear on my workspace
You can find it by going to the Window panel.

alright so if you cannot see essential graphics (I screwed with my layout like usual) go up top and click window then make sure there is a check mark next to it. if not click it and it should appear. ALSO if the text and backdrop arent working together you may have to link them together in two seperate layers manually ( way more of a pain in the ass but hey it works)
holy shit im dumb, okay so if the text isn't moving correctly make sure you are selecting the top thing that says "positon" the bottom will move the text and or shape individually

I don't understand, why you have given a nested sequence if we download lower-third templates from your website. It is so annoying. I can't use the same transition again by editing the text. If you have any alternate way for this then plz suggest.

When you recorded this tutorial what software did you record it with and did you add the panning and zooming in adobe premiere or did you use some other software. Thanks Danny
id recommend OBS. They probably just zoomed in and out by changing the scale of the video in adobe.

I can't see that window on my screen...
If the essential graphics panel isn't available on your screen (or any particular panel for that matter) you can manually activate it by going up to the top bar and searching under "window" and essential graphics should be roughly half way down 😀

Oh no! Sorry to hear. You can adjust the position with anchor points in effect controls if you do not want to take away the keyframing you may have done with the position parameters.
you had me until the velocities. That is tough to align. Overall pretty good tutorial
