What do you think of the new colour? The main reason we chose it is to make the truck more neutral for international travel (army camo would not be good in some countries!). And went with a tone that wouldn't attract too much heat from the sun. The Raptor coating will protect the truck from scratches and light dents and means that we won't stress out about pin-striping Bowser on narrow offroad tracks! :)
@@westernaustralian4x4advent60 Thanks a lot Adam! We aren't 100% sure yet - we still hesitate between Raptor coating it or using a wrap. I guess once we have a box we will have a better idea :)
I'm an ex grunt (NZ Army) and spent many a day in the back of a Mog so when your channel popped up in my suggestions I watched your entire rebuild! Vision+elbow grease+determination = results!! Awesome work!! Glad I get to binge watch your episodes!!
Hey Ange and Chris. Brilliant choice of colour and great spray-job. The finished Mog looks great. You've done well. I'm soooooo jealous. Thank you for taking us along on the restoration process.
Best Part of painting anything is peeling off the drop sheets!! Oh what a feeling!! Great job guys! Colour looks awesome! We needed some closeups to show off that lovely raptor texture!
Awesome! Mog looks great! Ange is a once in a lifetime gift. Speaking from experience, do whatever it takes to keep her or you will some day regret it. Thanks for sharing!
Chris, you have found yourself an amazing young lady there. Not afraid to jump in and help keep the project moving along. The look of pride and accomplishment on both your faces at the reveal says everything. Keep up the great videos
Wow man u guys nailed this! This just goes to show u that if your willing to learn and get down and dirty anything is possible! Can't wait to see the conversion to see how u make it into a camping living space!
Love the teamwork and effort the two of you are putting into this dream! Some advise from experience if you will Chris - once you get your spray gun adjusted for fan height, depends on product the paint store can advise, best finish appearance of the paint is if you apply with horizontal passes the length of say the roof panel, starting with coming up from the side and keeping the gun 90 degrees to the surface -overlap the nest pass by around a 3rrd - and repeat to the rest of the panel. No expert but was taught in my painting efforts by some. I enjoy eating this come together, best of luck
Rapped with the raptor finish. Had to wrap the truck in order to coat it with raptor and not get overspray where it didn't belong. Glad you didn't leave the reveal until next time - drives me batty, especially knowing that I'll watch the next episode regardless. Thanks guys, nice work.
Glad you're pumping these videos out and getting work done! Great content! But don't forget to go back and grease those bushings so they don't squeak like crazy!
Yes, copper impregnated grease will make it easier to get out in a few years' time. If the grease has gone, the 'softer' copper lubricates more than steel to steel!
Well done guys 👏🏻 Been following you guys from the beginning, & this one would have to be my fav episode yet. Bowser looks unreal, and can’t wait to see further progress 🤙🏼

I like it!! I raptored my tray an it’s so good,at first I thought dust would get stuck more but it just washes straight off Can’t wait to see when it’s fully finished 🤙🏻
looks good fellas. Sandy like the SAS sandy berets. Thought - because you have a lot of space in the rear (once built), some small houses have a sliding wall - one side is say a bedroom, the other is like a loungeroom - this changes the scene of the living compartment, gives you variety.
Hey guys. Not sure if anyones mentioned it. But when you install new bushings, clean all faces and grease the crap out of it. Your bushes will last longer and wont squeak.
