about the sorters: Conveyor sorter and Drop Trommel are the same, Drop trommel is just "dropping" stuff so you can place truck below it or do other stuff where 3 trommel go to one funnel etc. The Conveyor Sorter as the name says can attach a conveyor but the true gem is the trommel, coal ain't dirt but still not high value, so it get sorted out, which is maybe helpful in some cases, even blastrock goes to this category, so you can send it to a crusher, long in short, two for dirt and paydirt and one for rock and coal
@@Torkkar i cant answer, havent played in a while, but at the time where the video was new, coal was marked as an worthless material which isnt rock, gold or iron are worthy minerals so they would always go to the same container, as far as i know, the community is asking for an option to split material to a chosen type. you get better answers in their dicord about that, sorry
Steelframes: You need a smelter to make iron. 1 iron bar + 1 coal = 1 steel. Then you take the steel bars to the roller and turn it into steel beams. 3 steel makes 1 beam. The beams are then taken to the CNC cutter, where 8 beams makes 1 steelframe. Have fun 🙂
i dont mind doing some of the manual stuff makes it feel a bit more like a real mine.. ill look into it at some point maybe at a later stage to extend what im doing.
all I can say is ROCK & STONE to the BONE brother. but also is there an automation for the wash plant system to smelt the ore's into bars? also a wash plant for the gem ores that can be conveyer linked up? cause some more automation would be nice.

ok but how do you filter say gold & Iron ore from each other? I'm wondering this so I can have separated storage for each resource.

I put another sorter after the washplant to separate the good stuff to storage and dirt to a sell point.
