I've chanted a number of times with the late Elias Khouri == I admired his PRECISION == statistical resemblance == in EVERY parameter = attacks, intervals, trills, unequal divisions, tempo, etc One simply has to listen to his teacher (Andraos M and Feyrouz chanting Easter hymns.... a "JEWEL" of a recording). So, in today's psaltic reality, the Arab goup presented here has NOTHING to envy from contemporary Greek psaltiki (this means 1970's and on....)
+sidsydney It's personal choise .This byzantine greek hymn is very ancient . As for the arabic version of this hymn ...imagine Requiem of Motzart in arabic or turkish...perhaps it will be nice but never the original.
