- Awesome find from Shopgoodwill.com - a complete vintage Tyco Super Duper Double Looper Slot Car set from 1991. I ended just to show the haul but when I realized how it looked complete I had to try it! And after working out some of the mistakes I made building it - I was able to get the cars jumping without even cleaning the track yet! This is one of my favorite Tyco sets. I always have to consider the road and rail sets as my favorites but this is really neat!

I wanted this for Christmas when I was a kid.. I think our Christmas lists were put in the local paper to Santa that year .. just thought of searching it on RUclips.. awesome 😎

I got this for my 9th birthday and I absolutely loved this. One of my all time favortite gifts I ever recieved.
I got one from toys R us for my birthday one year. I used to love that set.I was really into Lamborghinis and had several die cast models and pictures above my bed.
I didn't have this set, but I kept buying pieces from the toy store. I got glow in the dark stickers as well as the glow guardrails. I had several Lamborghini posters in my room, one of which was more than half the length of the wall.
Same here …toys r us in Lexington had all the cuntach posters..color changer hot wheels..tyco rc black lambo that would fly…me n my brother had 2 cheaper silver ones nit sure the brand but radio shack may have been there origins..elementary book fairs were where we got the posters from..
Great goodwill find, the best goodwill store find i had was a 1978 Technics SA 1000 receiver for $75 back in the 90s. The worlds most powerful stereo receiver at 330 watts per channel. Now selling for $15,000 on E-bay
I had the tyco zero gravity cliff hangers set as a kid in the early to mid 80s. Fun little track.
Never saw this one before.... can't believe it's open like that, would never think that'd work.....

I HAD A NEON GREEN 60 FOOT TYCO TRACK THAT FIT IN A 8×4 SPACE AND IT LATER BECAME MY COMBO MOUNTAIN + TALLADEGA SLOT CAR TRACK. THIS MAKES ME WANT TO BUILD ANOTHER

Great Goodwill find and clean
You really find some amazing things at goodwill stores or the websites. You are the goodwill King. I wish I was born in the late 70s. That music during the time lapse just brings me back to your review of the mr freeze train railway express. You Really struggled to get the extreme stunt women out of the black and yellow car

try cleaning the track,cleaning the cars and if you can take apart the effected gun take it apart and check for the following,.....the trigger rod is making proper connection and it might need cleaning and check the connection for shorts.......hope this helps

My set went up the wall, had one loop, and an upside down section.
I had this SDDL and it was awesome! I remember they made a couple different colors though. I feel like I had a neon green version instead of the red/orange color theme.
I just got mine out of the basement and was look how to build it again. Came across your video. My box is bad but the pieces are all there. Good thing you can find the build instructions online. I was having trouble remembering.

@@Jaabo37 especially when you forgot to sand down the rails before hand.......stupid 30 year old oxidation....
Lol you have to clean the rails even after a month or two of no use and they literally have to go a few warm up laps with spotty performance for a little bit and then it slowly begins to work

That red slot car appears to be a first gen Corvette
So I just confirmed with my mom, that is my set from when I was a kid living in New Orleans!
That as well as most of my childhood toys were stolen by my mom’s ex husband and apparently donated to Goodwill.
That was my favorite set when I was a kid.
The neon green car is the best out of the bunch and I think we custom built it at a local hobby shop with a higher quality motor if I recall correctly.
I want to say they it came with a blue and red car new but they died really quick-hence the replacement cars.
One of the controllers is damaged but we saved for parts.
My mom rubber banded the tracks together and zip locked the rails because I kept loosing them. I think you may be missing 1 or 2 track stands because of me lol
There are like 3 different track configurations you can do.
That one was meh
When I first got it I set it up just like you did and it was intermittent on the loop and disappointing just the same.
I want to say, you need to flip the power track around feeding the wires under the track. It is supposed to go through the entire track then the loops carrying speed then through the open loop otherwise it’s not fast enough consistently
The power track where it connects to the rest of the track is temperamental and I think my fix was I had to space it up with a thin book or something because it would not naturally lay level.

Never had any tyco or name brand slot car sets as a kid. Family couldn't afford them. 😭

@@Jaabo37 Really? We had very little disposable income when I was a kid. My parents used to make us feel guilty for any birthday or Christmas present that was over 50 dollars. If the tyco sets were over that there was no way I was getting one.

My cars were Lamborghini countaches but they were a different color.
Does the loop work best with the 440 cars?
They didn't have headlights on the cars like they have now
I had one but when we tried putted it together it was hard to put it together so we are gonna return it to bjs :(

I remember doing this no problem when I was a kid. it pretty clearly looks like it was off position. I was bad at so many other games but pretty good at this thing.
