I want to create a funnel to purchase the course instead, is that doable? 2) if yes, once they purchase the course from my funnel how do participants gain access to the program? is there a login page or how does that all work? thank you!

Once a participant is in the course, they are able to access the course as long as it is open by logging in and selecting “my courses” from the member log in menu. I hope that helps!

@@thewixcollective Thank you! I might have my marketing team do that instead. For the previewing option.. if you publish the program so you can preview it is there a way to hide it so it's not visible to the public yet? I don't want anyone seeing it (or attempt booking it) until I actually want it to go live, if that makes sense?
@@sannevermeulen2547 yes! There is a way. Check out the course details and set the course to “private.” That way you can publish it and only have it viewable by direct invite or link. I hope that helps!!
Thanks for this videos. I have one question: can you use this program with basic plans on Wix (Light or Core) or does it require a more expensive plan? I was able to install it but it's not clear to me how much it will cost to actually use it and launch a course via Wix. Thanks!
Wonderful question! Thankfully you do not have to have a special plan to launch a course with Wix. However if you plan to sell the course you’ll need an e-commerce plan. My advice: go with the cheapest and upgrade only when necessary. Wix will let you know when you need to upgrade. So, build your course and then upgrade to a very basic eCommerce plan to start selling. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for this. I have a problem with my course, when entering in the phone and hit "start" button... in "participant view" there's nothing. But when I refresh the page the contents are there. I didn't have that problem before, could you help me please? 😥
That is a very odd problem and also has to be really frustrating. May I ask a couple questions to clarify? 1. Are you in preview mode in the editor/dashboard or is this on the published site? 2. If it is on the published site and you are viewing on a phone is it having this problem on both Android and iPhone? 3. Have you attempted closing down your Wix editing tab, opening, and re-publishing?
What a great tutorial, arigatou! My question is, once I embed my Unlisted RUclips videos to my courses, I see on the corner of my videos the option to watch the videos on RUclips. Is there a way to remove that and keep learners strictly on my website?
Thanks so much! That's a good question. The more courses I build the more I realize that embedding Unlisted RUclips videos is probably not the best option. It's easy but it does not secure your content. I'd recommend either uploading directly to Wix or looking into something like Vimeo where you can pay a fee to keep your videos safe.
I'm uploading all my content easily. Thank you for your videos! My one question is: do I have to invite people? Can I have my program content in the site menu under "online courses", and have people sign on, choose what they want, and pay? And/or send the URL out in newsletters? My classes are ongoing, all recorded.
I'm working on my first Wix challenge/course. Do I have to publish it to preview the lessons? And would you recommend Wix email to have everything in one place? I've just been ESP hopping -- Zapier freaks me out to connect all the different platforms.
Great vid and very helpful, thanks. For those of you who have built out a course, maybe you can help. I have 2 courses published on my site. On the programs page displaying just onne of the courses, I use Classic view with course title and course picture on the top of the page. below that is the body with text describing the course, pricing etc. On the right side of the body is a sidebar. It looks like I should be able to put text in it but I cannot find anyway to do so, I have found how to change the design, opacity etc but absolutely no place to enter text. If possible, I'd like to put a bulleted list in that section. Thanks.
Hi thank you. This is informative! One question. Is there a way to change displaying order of online courses? For example, could I show the courses in the order like...Beginner on the left, Intermediate in the middle, and Advanced on the right section?? I set up 3 courses on language learning (level 1, 2, and 3) but because I created the level 3 course last, it's shown on the left section of the page, which is kinda reverse... (I somehow found the way in which I can copy and paste the programs on other pages by Add-on function but I just adjust the displaying order ON THE ORIGINAL PAGE...)
My apologies on my late response, I did not see your comment! I hope that my response is still relevant to your question. Unfortunately there is not a way to display courses in a specific order unless you would want to place them on a page one by one instead of using the original program listing page. To accomplish that you would want to create a new page, add the courses one by one and then make sure that your URL for the program page links to that new page instead of the one that was originally set up with the Wix program app. I hope that helps!
Hello! I have currently added online programs to my website and have the appropriate domain to do so. I’m at the point where I’m trying to preview my course like you did. I published it like you did and went back hoping I could preview it but it’s still telling me I need to add Online a programs to my site, but I went and checked in the App Store and it says it’s already installed. Do you know what I could do to fix this?
Hey Kasey! Two ideas: 1. Have you published the actual course or are you still in draft mode? 2. Have you gone into the editor and added a course page? the app might be installed but not added to the website via the editor. Hope that helps! Keep me posted!
Question: I have been looking at Mighty Networks because it so beautifully allows you to combine a Facebook community type feel with the opportunity to sign up for different programs, classes etc. My goal is to have a membership site where people can have access to various areas of the site that may include some courses, while also having the ability to connect with other members in forum type areas, earn badges etc. I see the members area in wix and the groups feature in courses but I guess i don't see how to incorporate the groups and courses and forums all in one beautiful package like Mighty Networks does. Any insight on that?
Hi Connie! Yes! You could set up a group (looks very much like a Facebook group page) for the course where people can ask questions publicly with other members in the group, or you can link your email in the corse for direct questions, or you can add a quiz/questionnaire at the end of each step where you can see the participants responses. Sorry for my delay! Hope this helps :)
I watched this video hoping you would show us how to integrate the programs onto a sales page. I can’t seem to find the direct url to link to. Also, in my wix editor it only shows one program page even though I have more than one program, and there are no options to duplicate or customize the url.
Hey Star! The direct URL can be found under program settings under SEO settings. Also, the editor shows a preview of the program page where you can edit. It then creates the changes on how the rest of the programs are listed. I hope that helps!
When you go on participant view or just how it looks like finished live, i tried to view it on iphone or smaller screens and it doesnt seem to be responsive in design, it just takes 40% of the screen and the rest is padding, is there a way to make this pretty and working on mobile?
I am trying to create a course that is donation based - people can choose what to pay based on certain levels. I have created a donation page successfully but how can I set it up so once they make a donation they automatically get an invite to the course/access to the content?
So sorry for my late reply, yes as long as you have the course open and it hasn’t ended participants can have access to the course. Thanks for the question!
I have done this before but teachers had to create their courses in a word document and share files in a Google drive folder. It was a little extra work but I liked it because then I had creative control so that everything looked seamless. You could also add your course creators as admin on your site and show them how to create courses.
Hi Emily, I am watching your content with interest, easy to listen to, can’t understand why you haven’t got 10s of thousands of subs right now. I have a specific question that wix themselves do or will not answer. This video you made touches on it, bit I hope you might expand it a little. I wanted to create a membership on wix to eventually replace my Patreon account. All my videos tutorials in excess of 190 and growing are on Vimeo and set to unlisted ( specific domain) Patreon. I do not want to add all of those videos and all that are to come into my wix website packages it will slow the site to a grinding halt. I tried to add in the tutorials url to the Vimeo player in wix, but it will not play or see it unless I reset the video to public on the Vimeo end. That obviously makes no sense, and does not protect the video. Wix said it’s because they do not have an agreement with Vimeo ? Makes little sense either. Is there a way to have my unlisted specific domain videos stay where they are on Vimeo , and have them embed as unlisted on wix so that member under specific pricing plans only can access their level entitlement, this will also be same question when uploading new courses in The future. I cannot think that I am the only art content creator in the world who wants to add unlisted Vimeo content to Wix website accessed. The way I have described. I hope the you might be able to describe with an idiot proof approach how it can be achieved . Sorry for the long message, but I can’t go forward or get answers. Kindest best wishes Paul
Is there a reason I don't have the two options of 'share invite link to the program' and the other one when i do the last step to invite members? i can only invite them via email? also i have no idea how they access the program page as theres no url for them to see?
Hi, thx for the vid and greets from germany. Do you maybe know how to invite someone for a FREE Login to a Online Course which is already running and you have to pay for? If I invite someone for testing issues, they always just land on the page where they have to pay for the course. thx
Hi Rafael, My apologies for my late reply. Just now seeing this. You can add participants to the course for free by going to your course page in the dashboard and selecting “invite participants.” A pop up will appear asking you to enter in an email address of a contact to invite. Instead of inviting, click on the drop down menu “invite” and select “add participants.” Then you can add the contacts and they’ll be added for free to the course. Hope that helps!
@@thewixcollective I am thinking of switching to wix for website/retreat registration/online program/recorded class registration for my non-profit. What I am finding with registration apps (beyond really requiring an expert to use like the Event Calendar Pro wordpress plugin) is major drawbacks that reviews don’t mention. I think online reviewers don’t catch problems that you find out about only after you really enroll people in an event. For example: Retreat Guru only pays you after $3000 worth of registrations come in. My most recent example is that Course Storm will only enroll people in the U.S. and lists the event in my time zone (without even stating what time zone that is!) and does not convert to the participants own timezone. It is a big deal to set up these apps or plug ins for a series of classes and only find out after the fact that they have major deficiencies.

@@thewixcollective Oh fantastic thank you!
@@thewixcollective make sense! Thank you very much!!
@@thewixcollective Thanks for your quick reply! Look forward to watching more of your Wix tips. :)
I'm uploading all my content easily. Thank you for your videos! My one question is: do I have to invite people? Can I have my program content in the site menu under "online courses", and have people sign on, choose what they want, and pay? And/or send the URL out in newsletters? My classes are ongoing, all recorded.
Thanks for the comment, so sorry for the delayed response. Yes! You can most definitely go about it that way. :)
Thanks.
How do people get to the programme they have bought? Is there like a landing or a members page?
Hi Emily, looking for some assistance to set up some courses and wondered if your available?
Hey Kasey!
Two ideas:
1. Have you published the actual course or are you still in draft mode?
2. Have you gone into the editor and added a course page? the app might be installed but not added to the website via the editor.
Hope that helps! Keep me posted!
I had no idea wix did all of this. It’s so many features Im not utilizing on my site
Thank You
Question: I have been looking at Mighty Networks because it so beautifully allows you to combine a Facebook community type feel with the opportunity to sign up for different programs, classes etc.
Thanks for asking this question, I would love input as well.
Emily, are participants able to write a question to me and am I able to write back?
Hi Connie!
Hey, does this account for progress on multiple classes?
Hi! Each course that a member joins will keep track of their progress. Does that help?
How to give participants completion Certificate and automate that also they can verify
Do clients keep access to the scheduled programs once they end?
So sorry for my late reply, yes as long as you have the course open and it hasn’t ended participants can have access to the course. Thanks for the question!
Hey, how could we set this up for multiple teachers coming in to work on their classes? Is it possible on Wix?
I have done this before but teachers had to create their courses in a word document and share files in a Google drive folder. It was a little extra work but I liked it because then I had creative control so that everything looked seamless.
You could also add your course creators as admin on your site and show them how to create courses.
hello
How can I write maths formulas in an on-line program in wix
I also published my challenge course and now I can't seem to edit anything in it. Is this a thing?
Does Wix has a limit to course content hosting? 1GB? 15GB?
Is there a reason I don't have the two options of 'share invite link to the program' and the other one when i do the last step to invite members? i can only invite them via email? also i have no idea how they access the program page as theres no url for them to see?
Exactly. How do people access the program page? Where do we find the URL? So frustrating.
Hi, thx for the vid and greets from germany. Do you maybe know how to invite someone for a FREE Login to a Online Course which is already running and you have to pay for? If I invite someone for testing issues, they always just land on the page where they have to pay for the course. thx
Hi Rafael,
My apologies for my late reply. Hope that helps!
hello, what plan do i need to choose?
Are you referring to which Wix plan? I always recommend going with the most basic plan and upgrading as needed.
Have you had any difficulty with people from other countries being able to purchase and engage in your classes on Wix?
Hello Yudron, I have not had any issue with it. Have you had any issues?
@@YudronWangmo Thank you for sharing! That is very discouraging to get deep into an event app build and then run into those issues. There are always bumps in the road that happen due to every event being different, however, thankfully Wix is free to try while you're testing it out.
Hi, I have watched a few of your videos and love how knowledgeable you are. What email can I use to contact you? What is your website address? Thanks Laura
Hi Laura!
Somehow I missed your comment here. Thank you so much! I am going to start offering some consultation bookings on my site at TheWixCollective.com but until then you can reach me at emily@thewixcollective.com.
Hello pls i need help urgently.. i followed the steps how can i preview the course look and better if anyone is willing to assist me
Hello Eniola! Try making sure your course is set to public and then click "preview" and see if that works? I believe you should be able to do that without publishing. Let me know if it does not.
@@thewixcollective thanks for the reply I've been able to preview it now but I'm facing other issues
1. I can't add a downloadable pdf at the beginning of the course?
2. There's no actual customization i can do to the course view?
3. Can't i change the word "steps" to another word like lessons
@@Ojet
1.You can add a downloadable PDF to the introduction or a step. Look for the small "up arrow" button on the right hand side of the window while adding or changing content.
2. There are only two options of a course view to choose from in Wix right now and you can view those options in the editor.
3. You can change the title of the steps, however, under the sections (i.e. "Introductions") it will say "0/4 steps completed" and that is not able to be changed.
Hope that helps!
@@thewixcollective Thankss 😊 I'll check them out and get back to you
And I can't even duplicate the published course and then edit it. This doesn't make sense as a course creator.
How do i add the course to my website tho?

What do you recommend to your clients for email service providers? If we don’t use Wix email, do we have to use zapier? I started with Flodesk.
