After Ipiranga, Zieten, Mass, Tenese etc. Bismarck and Tirpitz really need a buff on accuracy. They are not the best secondary ship on the game at tier 8 anymore and they have one of the worse guns also in his tier. They can be funny but are really ships lacking behind. With more accuracy they can be better and still no overpowered since they do not have stupid heals, they are still massive, no stupid overmatch armor, and they have still weaknesses. Even with the KGV you can eat the Tirpitz with fires etc if you keep them out of secondary range.
@@irietheace1199 my first time through the line I was running the aiming upgrade. Even when built with that, I was regularly doing more damage with HE than AP due to how bad the dispersion is. The fires would usually get me around 40k more damage per game than if I stuck with AP.
@ I was getting the opposite experience. I even have a replay featured of the Prusen dev striking a sukishima for 83k health and having getting at least 1 citadel hit on every ship I fired on
From my experience the German dispersion thingy is a scam meant to hide the true power of German ships. Seriously they feel like the most accurate ships I have. Apart from like every tenth Salvo, the Shells always land almost next to each other. Great Precision to be honest. Accuracy is where it starts to fade as the volume of shells do randomly go left or right, but it usually isn't enough to make me miss.
I love my Tirpitz B, it´s my most played BB at Tier VIII, the Ipiranga is fast becoming my second most played. I have a full secondary build on my Tirpitz, couple that with Gunther L, also with a secondary build. I wouldn´t play it any other way, it´s just too much fun.
Got her from one of the Premium Containers in the season pass. Honestly, I didn't like the original Tirpitz (traded it in for another ship in the trade in event). I know it's supposed to be a Bismarck with torps, but that hydro does make a huge difference at times - that, and I felt like I wasn't doing as much damage for some reason. Well, now that she's back I might as well give her another chance...

I do love my Tirpitz, is stupid and fun but it is very strong in brawls and ranked. I would say that she is also extremely tanky when played right and having proper sub planes is handy af compared to Mass
She looks nice, but is she worth some money? My Bismarck sits in the harbor most time because i`m more the player dealing heavy damage with the main guns. Still using my old crate Massachusetts in scenarios, she performs good there. But i`m unhappy with the main guns, they often fail to hit hard enough or miss completely like Bismarck`s. Tried both with accuracy build, but was not satisfied. Changed to secondary build so they are funny and useful against bots.
Most "psychologically" good ship in the game imo.. When I got her in a chest I thought "meh Bismarck with torps" but the sexy Tesla Halloween camo made me pick her up.. And my winrate was significantly higher with her.. Something about those torps encourages a much more aggressive playing mentality that seems to pay off even when you don't get a chance to use them..
At least I feel better seeing you get to lose all these matches, because it's not just you getting the win. Even though you atomize us mere mortals on the overall WR...
If Bismarck is better, then the answer to the question is "no". Bismarck herself is a problem. The main guns are just so bad. Every higher tier BB has the advantage on us. Bismarck is fine when she is top tier, but most BBs are. So it's really about the ability to "punch up", at least in randoms. Way too many T8 BBs are just flat out better.
Got it in a BF container...not even put equipment on it, total piece of junk and will only be keeping for xmas flakes. Wish we could trade out BF ships...

Torps are great but lacking a hydro is really painful for random battles
German main gun dispersion is just painful.
That’s cause no one runs the aiming mod. If you run aiming mod then its just fine

Tirpitz is a lot of fun to play. Strong, too. Not quite as strong as Mass and Ipiranga but very good.

Yo, potato, Tirpitz had a modification in 1944 I think where they removed the Torpedoes but added more AA. Imagine that as a hull B💀

Don't know what the diff is, but my win rates are much higher in the Bismarck than the Tirp., and as far as I can tell, the hydro is the only diff.
