That takes me back man. I hope one day we'll get to see a Pyre/Hades style dialogue interaction with the Bastion characters with portraits, voice, all that jazz.
My little bro passed away a few months ago, he let me his xbox and i decided play Hades. When i heard this song for first time i just cry cause i cant reach him.
Same.. the lyrics are majestic, I prefer the calming melody of this version... her vocals in supergiant games are outstanding... same goes to Darren Korb... but I prefer hers. I love how this version has relevance to the story of the characters as well...
Not only is her singing heavenly and calming, her room itself is so good. Not one of her things she offers is ever bad, and are incredibly good. The room, setting, and vibe is just calm and comforting in the game
When I went into Eurydice's room (and sat and listened like any normal person) I was so lulled that 10 minutes later, when I left the room I genuinely had to remember what type of game I was playing and reacclimate myself with the controls
As of writing this comment at 06:20 pm on 11/29/23 in my upstairs bedroom using my iPad Pro I successfully beat my first ever run of Hades after having not played the game since 07/12/22 according to Steam while live-streaming it on my Twitch channel and the VOD should be up on my RUclips channel very soon after writing this comment. You have to complete multiple runs to unlock the full story but just one is good enough for me, lol. I’m going through a pretty rough patch in my life as of writing this comment but just by beating this game today, it gives me a little hope that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. To everyone reading this comment, thank you for being here, please never give up, we’ll all make it, I promise. “The most important thing is the unbreakable spirit.”
Those last 10 seconds of your life, that stretches into infinity. You count your blessings, thank those worthy, scorn whom you must, and fade into Elysium.
Getting to this room completely shifted my view of this game and made me realize how much more depth their was. I still consider myself really green with the gameplay, but I'm intensely loving this game so far. It is a gift and I am so grateful.
I started playing Hades and a few days later my grandfather passed away. I stay to listen to the song because it comforts me. Always brings me to tears. RIP
I understand, Danny. This song reminds me of my mother. I'm 22 and she passed last years ago to cancer. This song embodies everything a warm person is, loving, caring, beautiful, kind, warm, radiant, comforting. RIP to your grandfather.
I'm a new player, and I ran into her for the first time last night, on probably my 5th-ish run into Asphodel. It was so lovely to meet her and hear this song, after what has been a very, very long and difficult weekend. Hades has quickly become one of my favorite games of all time 🌻
i was playing hades to escape from a really stressful situation and when i got into this room i sat there for 30 minutes listening and in that time the cause of all that stress was resolved and now im sitting here listening to it on youtube straight up crying. i cannot express how much i appreciate devs who go this extra mile and have music this good in their games.
When I first heard this on the game hades omg I put my controller down I just had to listen to much rap and rock I loves this the energy for me is awesome
Eurydice and Orpheus made it so worth it going back and forth for them to reunite and make an amazing duet together. The first time I heard Eurydice sing I was charmed and listened for a while then I heard Orpheus sing it. I felt his sadness and frustration hearing them both together I felt happy and proud to have been able to reunite them.
Pls god.. I don't want this game to be over... After ages i found a game that i actually like... I've died for 53 times and still whenever I have chance to meet her, I stay there for the song to finish. This song hits the most when I'm playing the game 🎮🎉❤❤❤❤
Bit late to the party, but I got really teary-eyed listening to this for the first time. Something about the lyrics, the singing voice, and the setting it is delivered in just hit me in a way no song has in quite a long time. I really have to give props to every single person who brought this masterpiece to life.
Listening to this song for the first time stopped me dead in my tracks, sat and listened for a good half hour just...enjoying the atmosphere shift from tense action melancholic rest. A year later, a random moment dawned on me why this song strikes such a specific note for me. Not at all trying to gain sympathy I swear (I'm ok now) as someone who once attempted suicide after many many considerations, even if it was for a brief moment, I crossed that threshold from clinging to life to letting go of it. I came back from the brink and survived, but a small part of me will always remember that kind of acceptance...and this song kindles that in a way that makes me tear up every time. Sorry for the long comment, do have a good day or evening all of you I just wanted to share ^^
Hey, and thanks for sharing🙏🏽 I have never told anyone this but I can’t listen to this song too much or for too long, for pretty much the same reason. Honestly the song fills me with such a longing to just let go and sleep, even as I know that it’s not an actual option for me. So I listen just now and again just because it’s so beautiful but yeah I understand you completely. Happy you’re ok now ❤
The first time I found Eurydice I just stood by her side and listened to her sing while I was shocked at the fact that just now I just discovered this masterpiece of a game.
Had a few too many funerals in the last couple of years and the lyrics to this wrecked me, let alone that beautiful voice. I want this played at my funeral followed by Ty Cobb by Soundgarden as a palette cleanser (anyone attending who doesn’t laugh will be quietly asked to leave)
I remember hearing her voice for the first time in Bastion. When it cuts in after hours of game music with no vocals, it's super eerie and maybe one of the best hooks I've ever experienced in a game. Ash and Darren are unbeatable.
I was pleasantly surprised the first time I came across her. Just ended up standing there for awhile to listen and let the song play. After getting over my initial surprise I instantly fell in love with how calm this song is.
One day my puppy was with me in my room as I was listening to this on repeat and it moved me so much, now everytime I listen to this it brings me to tears and reminds me of how much I love her. She is alive and well btw, and always has been.
This is some OG NieR shit that you're pulling with the Orpheus and Eurydice versions of this song and I love it. Can't wait to hear the combined version.
When I first met Eurydice I genuinely just stood there listening to her sing for a very long while. It's beautiful, nostalgic and sad. This game is so good, the npc really feel like people and I care about them
Im at the point of my life where everything is so chaotic and i dont know what the future lies for me... to the point that I dont even know how I feel. When i was playing the game and reached this room to hear the song for the first time, I just felt this warm, comforting yet sorrowful feeling and let this song play on loop. Thank you, Supergiant games, for being able to describe how i feel right now, and also the emotions of many people during these tough times.
The first time encountering this room and song reminded me of the first time playing Witcher 3, where you hear Priscilla sing her beautiful song. Totally unexpected, revealing the heart and soul poured into this experience. Tremendous job all around.
Whatever they payed her, it wasn't enough. She has the most angelic voice I've ever heard. Full admission, after talking to her, before moving on, I'll just stand on the dock for a minute or two just listening.
this song is hauntingly beautiful. both sad and calming. bittersweet. gorgeous lyrics and stunning performance. always gotta stop and listen to eurydice for a bit when you get to her room!
I lost a very close family member afew months ago, and life has been rough since. I picked up Hades for the first time in years and the moment I got to Eurydice's room and I heard this song again I just sat there completely paralyzed. The song really touches your soul. The line about Atlas and the weight of the world no longer being on his shoulders is a fitting tribute for a man who worked every single day to support his family. Thank you SG for creating this piece of art.
Walking into Eurydices room and hearing her sing is like walking into a deadly forest, getting lost, and then you're suddenly in paradise, and shes glistening in the sunlight
I was soooo happy when I heard her voice! Immediately recognized it as Red's from Transistor. Glad she was back for this game! I love Ashley's voice so much
you know, after I started playig Hades and hearing this song my dog died due to being hit by a car while chasing a deer (she managed to free herself from the grip of my younger brother when she saw the deer)... No matter how hard I tried, it stuck in my head even during her burial. Goodbye Olivia, I feel this music describes the nature of your death all too well
the intervals when it says "Atlas can rest his weary bones" literally make me fall in love with the song. it does not make sense to me harmonically and i love it
Leaving her room hurts more than dying and restarting

Time doesn't count down in her room. I tried this pact out just today and I listened to the song in peace
my toxic trait is sitting in eurydice's room listening to this song for so long that when i finally leave i forget i have tight deadline active
The time limit pauses in this room, I stay for like 30 mins while I get a snack and listen to this gorgeous song
meeting Eurydice reminded me so much of meeting Zia in bastion, this moment of calm after all the action before hand and you can't help but get entranced and listen to that incredible singing for several minutes
That takes me back man. I hope one day we'll get to see a Pyre/Hades style dialogue interaction with the Bastion characters with portraits, voice, all that jazz.
Bastion .. what a game
"What do you say to someone who's lost everything? Kid doesn't know."
My little bro passed away a few months ago, he let me his xbox and i decided play Hades. When i heard this song for first time i just cry cause i cant reach him.
This song helps me to calm down when I am too much worried.
I think Ashley's voice has that effect; for me, it's the hummed version of Paper Boats, never fails to calm me down when I'm worried or stressed
@@VickiToori absolutely. Beautiful
Same.. the lyrics are majestic, I prefer the calming melody of this version...
her vocals in supergiant games are outstanding... same goes to Darren Korb... but I prefer hers.

Hades is one of the greatest games I've ever played. Just phenomenal.
NOT CRYING, NOT CRYING
Man this game is peak if you never played it definetely recomend playing its a true masterpiece
I cried in this room
Those last 10 seconds of your life, that stretches into infinity. You count your blessings, thank those worthy, scorn whom you must, and fade into Elysium.
Getting to this room completely shifted my view of this game and made me realize how much more depth their was. I still consider myself really green with the gameplay, but I'm intensely loving this game so far. It is a gift and I am so grateful.
Going through these comments, I'm glad to see we all did the same thing of just stopping to listen to her for an extended amount of time.
This will be my funeral song
I started playing Hades and a few days later my grandfather passed away. I stay to listen to the song because it comforts me. Always brings me to tears. RIP
Sending love your way friend
I understand, Danny. This song reminds me of my mother. I'm 22 and she passed last years ago to cancer. This song embodies everything a warm person is, loving, caring, beautiful, kind, warm, radiant, comforting. RIP to your grandfather.
I'm a new player, and I ran into her for the first time last night, on probably my 5th-ish run into Asphodel. It was so lovely to meet her and hear this song, after what has been a very, very long and difficult weekend. Hades has quickly become one of my favorite games of all time 🌻
So, is it still one of your favorite?
"Stay a while, and listen!"
She did what Deckard Cain never could: Make us all stay a while and listen.
I just got 100% of the achievements. Hades is beautifully crafted and supergiant should be proud of themselves.
Since Bastion i support them with a purchase every time they make a new game uwu
i was playing hades to escape from a really stressful situation and when i got into this room i sat there for 30 minutes listening and in that time the cause of all that stress was resolved and now im sitting here listening to it on youtube straight up crying. i cannot express how much i appreciate devs who go this extra mile and have music this good in their games.
good riddance
Its crazy how it slows the pace of your runs, just to take a break. It is so relaxing...
When I first heard this on the game hades omg I put my controller down I just had to listen to much rap and rock I loves this the energy for me is awesome
Please let Ashley Barrett be in every ost from supergiant games for ever ❤️🙏
Thought I was the only one, but you said everything so perfectly!
*me furiously writing up a character to play this song in my D&D game*
I played a bard named Celeste (Ashley's character in Pyre) ;)
I play a bard named Gweneal Ainsley. If I want they could sing both parts of the song because they are a changeling. I love my little chaos child
@@alexdoorn234 I'm playing a changeling rogue turned order cleric, he was once a chaos child too.
@@AuspexAO Brooo my blacksmith's name is Celeste.
literally going on a sidequest rn to learn flower spirits' songs so I can work this into the Mage The Awakening game I'm in!
Happy you’re ok now ❤
@NUBF I'm doing great! Happy to see people still enjoy hades ( very excited for hades 2 soon) and I hope all the best for your well being mate ^^
When you have to leave the dungeon to continue with the game, but the music is so good that you dont upset or make Eurydice stop singing.
The first time I found Eurydice I just stood by her side and listened to her sing while I was shocked at the fact that just now I just discovered this masterpiece of a game.
I want this song to be played in the meal on my funeral. Because everyone deserves a chill song when dining over my memory
I think what strikes me so much about her version is she sounds so HAPPY. This isn't a lament, it's just a gentle song.
Sometimes death is a relief
A masterpiece.
totally not crying listening to how good this is at 3am
now... GIVE US THE ORPHEUS ONLY VERSION! i need it
Yessss with echoey chamber atmosphere
I remember hearing her voice for the first time in Bastion. When it cuts in after hours of game music with no vocals, it's super eerie and maybe one of the best hooks I've ever experienced in a game. Ash and Darren are unbeatable.
What a masterpiece.
I met her yesterday for the first time.
I'm in love.
What a loving moment when we have the opportunity to stay a little there
50% playing the game 50% spend time in eurydice's room
I was pleasantly surprised the first time I came across her. Just ended up standing there for awhile to listen and let the song play. After getting over my initial surprise I instantly fell in love with how calm this song is.
My favorite line is about Atlas resting his weary bones.
One day my puppy was with me in my room as I was listening to this on repeat and it moved me so much, now everytime I listen to this it brings me to tears and reminds me of how much I love her. She is alive and well btw, and always has been.
Meet Eurydice, hear her song, give up my journey to stay here to listen her angelic voice forever
C'est probablement la plus belle chanson que j'ai entendue depuis longtemps.
This is some OG NieR shit that you're pulling with the Orpheus and Eurydice versions of this song and I love it. Can't wait to hear the combined version.
Finally, someone else who remembered the twins..
Yesss! This song made me stop and just listen for a while just like in the Tavern with the twins.
The first time I entered this room, I just sat there for 15 mins. Unexpected joy is the best kind of joy.
When I first met Eurydice I genuinely just stood there listening to her sing for a very long while. It's beautiful, nostalgic and sad. This game is so good, the npc really feel like people and I care about them
every time i get to this room i can't do any other thing but stand there and listen to Eurydice's beautiful song for 10 min or more.
real
I love Ashley Barrett ! She's one of the reason i started to play a lot to Supergiant games stuff. Transistor got me by the heart
mainly bc she and Darren Korb are the reason we love SuperGiant Games
This games music just keeps stunning me
BRUH I first got to her room like, a few days ago, and literally had to pause to listen to it because YOOO this slaps
I stay every time i cross the path with Eurydice.... beautiful and let me relax a little
Im at the point of my life where everything is so chaotic and i dont know what the future lies for me... to the point that I dont even know how I feel.
I always sit and listen to her song for ages while in her room doesnt matter how many times i go there💖her voice is amazing :))
I was playing with a friend the first time I heard it. We both stopped talking, and after a while, we both had tears in our eyes.
This is one of the most beautiful and heartfelt songs about death I've ever heard. And it's from an action roguelike video game.
ゲーム中、つい手を止めて聴き入ってしまう素敵な歌✨
It's so weird to see someone other than Zagreus in the picture! In a good way!
This song is beautiful.
When you know their stories, this makes this 1000x more better. Damn I'm weeping .
Man the first time i found Eurydice I just sat for a long time listening to her sing. Thats a testament to great game making and an awesome vocalist.
Everyone’s here talking bout what this is from but I found the soundtrack on accident while trying to find a good Hadestown bootleg.
ITs on Spotify yo.
@@samuelburnes4869 I think they mean a bootleg of the show, not just the music
hope you liked it !
jwodjekks im glad im not the only one
I hope you found the right slime tutorial. /hint hint/
