Fashion souls is a thing because dark souls has decent armor choices. This game has robes, peasant wear, and ninja wear. Then gives a dark knight or unicorn plate armor set. So lame
I agree but more than that.... Majority of them have stats that are just.... Not good. Some are outright basic and designed to be the initial loot for early game when you're just getting started and some end up looking like they'd be a mid-way point gear to wear only for you to find out nothing else compares. Right now I'm running a rogue build and the entomber armor + the hound mask(I just can't stand how the faces look, I NEED to cover it up), feels like I'm done with armor.... Anything else has negative stamina, heavier, less stats.. just doesn't compete. I feel equally this way about the variety for magic users as it runs into the same problem and feels relatively bland. Even if they recolored some of these sets, I'd just love to have more variety to go "oooh! I could use this maybe" more often than I do now. Anything I find now feels like it's just instant silver to trade in. The hype of exploring is nice but the hype for loot/armor is very diminishing, especially if you have a general idea of the weapon(s) you'll be using from here out that basically makes any weapon you find not useful at all to you other than for silver.

I think the elite desert set is the best armor in the game. Not just looks and it doesn't look bad mind you. It's just that it offers heavy armor protection for the torso and the head (the boots just has resistance) but gives you less stamina cost and movement speed on the boots. That's great.
Paladium Set Heavy Armor so far is the good one for me, have high defense, less of stamina, mana cost and movement speed cost. Also have high decay resist, full set of it + Possessed Boon + Cierzo Cheviche = 0 damage from decay type (rancid water in Hallowed, Jade Lich in dark zigurrat or Illuminator Horror)
what u cud had done is go into the wiki and see all the amor (im not sure if all the armor is in there but i can see a bunch) and u can rank the most useless to the strongest ? :D
Man it is such a shame the character models are so butt ugly cuz the Armor is so great looking. There is not a single aesthetically pleasing character model in this game besides maybe one kazite #4 with like 2 of the hairstyles. So 99.5 nightmare material. Armors are great though. "Why is there so many amor sets with negative effect?" Because you need to sacrifice something to get something. Heavy armors sacrifice movement for defense. Light armors sacrifice defense for movement. Etc. Also, there are better armor sets than Master Trader set.

I disagree. I see uniquely armor sets more realistic that make sense to a certain point. I love elden ring and similar games but they are way too unrealistic(better looking no doubt) but these look like they were actually made in the Middle Ages. I personally love everything about outward and can’t wait for the Outward 2

almost all of them look the same regardless of gender which is a shame... I think only the pale light clothings, noble dress, silver armor and scholar outfit look feminine everything else looks male.
This is not an accurate showcasing of the armor sets, many have nearly depleted durability which leads to significantly lower resistance values. I do appreciate the effort put into the video though and would appreciate a female armor showcase also, many sets look very unique on female characters as opposed to their male counterparts
Why do these games never have a decent set of knight style armor? The palladium set looks alright then they decide to attach a dildo to the helmet.....wtf. The deciding factor for me playing this type of game comes down to 2 things character creation and armor cosmetic potential. This game obviously doesnt give a damn about plate wearing. Everything is either magic garb, rogue garb, and for some reason oriental gear. Then they throw like 2 sets of plate in one has a unicorn horn and the other is straight pure evil armor. So the people who want to play a paladin type character has 1 choice fuckin unicorn.

The stats in red on items are penalties, the green ones are bonuses. (like +movement speed or -5 stamina cost). I'l probably do a video where I explain stats.
@@QuietFury9 Armor that gives minus % to stamina usage would be good. Allows you to activate skills, dodge, sprint, and block more often. I really like the entomber boots because it has bonus movement speed, stamina use reduction, and decent defenses. The master trader boots has a higher movement speed bonus and bonus pouch space, but less defenses.
-No armor dyes -No transmog -No hide helmet/backpack option -All armors still look like garbage Half the fun of any RPG is to look cool af. These devs are just out of touch, but thats a common problem. 🤮

While this game's world is amazingly beautiful, I'm constantly surprised by how little I like the looks of most of the armor choices.
There are actually more than this, so maybe the couple that weren't shown are your cup of tea.

You didn't show the ammolite armor.
Few armor pieces has less than 50% durability. They will loose some effectiveness (arounnd 20%).

Also, there are better armor sets than Master Trader set.
The negative effects can be reduced with heavy armor training. Speed armor is good for getting around, but you really want to have a combat set too.

If you play on pc theres a mod that enchance texture for armor and weapon. I used those and it looked a bit better.
