Relax lol you must not watch alot of other channels if you think is the best… or you’re just weird and like leaving simpy comments for clicks and that sweeeeet notification bell on your phone! Get that dopamine rush baby!!!
Wouldn’t that be something to have Mario and Wayne on a show together. Wayne is a great story teller, I can listen to his stories all day. Great show guys 👏👏
Any of Wayne’s interviews could be used to educate so many other athletes from any other sport. Never a fan of any of the teams he played for, but the way he presents himself is the epitome of class. Take notes people, you can learn a thing or two from him.
Wayne Gretzky is a class act. Raised by parent's who were wonderful family people. His father was living angel and so humble. I'm not surprised he instilled these qualities in his son. What a great hockey family legacy for Canada.
I appreciate these interviews with the Great One! It's such a treat to listen to him as a fellow Canadian. Humble, funny, classy and just a true human being. I look forward to the next interview with Wayne. Thank you Wayne for all the amazing stories and great times. You are simply the best.
One of the best Interviews in Chiclets history if not the best one. Wayne Gretzky interview version of The Empire strikes back. So many fun stories by Wayne. No bullshit. Still a role model to all Canadian kids growing up who love the sport. Canadian Icon.
Wayne Gretzky is the best thing that has ever and will ever happen to the sport of hockey. These stories that he’s so willing to tell…are so special. Legend doesn’t even begin to describe it
There is a reason why he is called The Great One! True class so humble he really is a Gem of a player and a wonderful human being. Great interview guys keep up the good work and thanks for the perfect Christmas gift, kudos to all of you and Merry Christmas everyone.
Ive heard every story on Gretzky the person, the athlete, the trade. I’ve learned more details in this interview than any other. Leave it to Biz, Whit and the boys. Brilliant.
Love gretz. When I was playing pee wee he came to a practice or a rink I was skating at or something (don't really remember much about the day other than seeing the great one lol) and I got an autographed photo. Lost the photo in a house fire but I'll always remember meeting the greatest player ever.
Feels like every minor hockey player from Ontario had an opportunity to meet Walter Gretzky. I have multiple pictures with him handing out medals and trophies. What a great human and you can see him in Wayne. Great pod boys, appreciate all you guys do.
Nice job boys.. very! Interesting thought all the fame and fortune that came to Wayne at an early age.. Till This day you never hear a negative story about the man.. Says a lot about the man he is ,as great a human being as he was a hockey player..
Next time, PLEASE PLEASE, have him explain how he worked behind the net. Give him a whiteboard and a marker. I remember seeing one team get so frustrated that the defenseman just moved the net. There should be videos all over RUclips with highlights of Gretzky in the office. Arrgh!!!
@@docriley7837 The most I've heard him say on the topic was that he learned it from watching Bobby Clark. No interviewer has asked for details. What's more, is that there are lots of hockey RUclipsrs out there with hours of Gretzky footage, and none of them know what they are looking at or looking for. One good interview and these guys will all race to get their Gretzky in the Office videos out.
The Hockey Hall of Fame should seriously consider inducting Walter as a builder for a lot of things he’s done, but getting Wayne to go to LA and how much the game has grown since because of it…
I got to play in the Walter Gretzky Tournament and meet Walter and even with everything he was struggling with at the time he was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Absolute legend in every way he loved the game and the fans I'll forever be grateful i got to meet him
Wayne Gretzky, such a gentleman. In the early 90's he was playing in a charity golf tournament near Windsor, Ont. My husband was building a house on the edge of the course, spotted Wayne and went over to him. He asked for his autograph, and Wayne was happy to sign 2 autographs. One for our newborn son and one for our hockey crazy nephew. An absolutely amazing Canadian!
I listened to Wayne in the car tonight on my way to and from hockey practice. When the Great One says Gordie Howe was the greatest hockey player that ever lived, That says something! The humble respect Wayne shows his peers and the men who came before him is very heartwarming. I really enjoyed this one boys. Cheers
That OT game 2 in 87’, 99 played 50+ mins and had 5 assists. In my opinion it was his greatest game ever because it was probably the best hockey ever played. Credit to The USSR for their part bringing it to that level. . . And yes Canada some favourable reffing.
I love this cross generational stuff. Wayne-o has amazing stories and it's so cool to see biz and him have a relationship like this that leads to all of us mutually benefiting
So glad I found this podcast! The Gretzky episodes are incredible. Got my first jersey for Christmas this year and SCREAMED when I saw the 99 on the back. Go kings go 🖤
I also used to give my kids toys to charity. I hold it for a few weeks, and if they dont ask about it, some other kid will enjoy it. If they dont care enough about it to ask where it is, they dont want it anymore.
Remember Aug 88 like it was yesterday when the trade happened it shook the sports world. It was similar to Jordan’s first retirement after the first three championships with the Bulls. It came out of no where and rocked everything.

As a Kings fan, I hated the PLD trade at the time we made it. Nothing against PLD at all, but Vilardi was a burgeoning star. His hands and shot are elite and he plays an excellent 200ft game. We gave up the best player in that trade
Wayne is always so generous with his time and has been for the better part of 50 years. Amazing ambassador for our game.
k bud he gets paid t be on
@@brettd109No he doesn't.
Give credit where credit is due… this podcast is on another level. Looking forward to an amazing 2024 boys
Well said! Always been great but what a leap the lads took this year

Wait why wouldn’t you give credit?
Wayne, speaks like a true leader, shines light on everyone except himself.
I’d pay to watch Whitney put that net together
This.
Bet he makes it in the basement and realizes after that it won’t fit out the door 😂
With a bottle of lotion?
AlsoRA
Not a chance in hell he actually put that net together himself.
Never get tired of hearing Wayne with the boys
Wouldn’t that be something to have Mario and Wayne on a show together. Wayne is a great story teller, I can listen to his stories all day. Great show guys 👏👏
Wayne is so humble but the ripple effect of him going to Los Angeles was so massive for hockey. The sport can work anywhere and he is proof of it.
Except Atlanta.
Now, It would work but Atlanta would need to fix their traffic problem drastically.@@chadgrov
A true Canadian Christmas miracle.

Gretzky really is The Great One. Loved the interview and already cannot wait until next year's #3. Thanks Wayne.
Wayne - the ultimate class act - letting a f-bomb slip while talking about how good Mario was is kind of all you need to know

It’s so great that he doesn’t mind doing interviews considering that the other Mt Rushmore players are shy.

They should recreate Walt's basement as an exhibit at the HHOF
Wayne loves repping canada🇨🇦
