    Wayne is so humble but the ripple effect of him going to Los Angeles was so massive for hockey. The sport can work anywhere and he is proof of it.

    Any of Wayne’s interviews could be used to educate so many other athletes from any other sport. Never a fan of any of the teams he played for, but the way he presents himself is the epitome of class. Take notes people, you can learn a thing or two from him.

    Wayne Gretzky is a class act. Raised by parent's who were wonderful family people. His father was living angel and so humble. I'm not surprised he instilled these qualities in his son. What a great hockey family legacy for Canada.

    One of the best Interviews in Chiclets history if not the best one. Wayne Gretzky interview version of The Empire strikes back. So many fun stories by Wayne. No bullshit. Still a role model to all Canadian kids growing up who love the sport.

    Love gretz. When I was playing pee wee he came to a practice or a rink I was skating at or something (don't really remember much about the day other than seeing the great one lol) and I got an autographed photo. Lost the photo in a house fire but I'll always remember meeting the greatest player ever.

    Feels like every minor hockey player from Ontario had an opportunity to meet Walter Gretzky. I have multiple pictures with him handing out medals and trophies. What a great human and you can see him in Wayne. Great pod boys, appreciate all you guys do.

    Next time, PLEASE PLEASE, have him explain how he worked behind the net. Give him a whiteboard and a marker.
    I remember seeing one team get so frustrated that the defenseman just moved the net.
    There should be videos all over RUclips with highlights of Gretzky in the office. Arrgh!!!

      @@docriley7837 The most I've heard him say on the topic was that he learned it from watching Bobby Clark. No interviewer has asked for details.
      What's more, is that there are lots of hockey RUclipsrs out there with hours of Gretzky footage, and none of them know what they are looking at or looking for. One good interview and these guys will all race to get their Gretzky in the Office videos out.

    The Hockey Hall of Fame should seriously consider inducting Walter as a builder for a lot of things he’s done, but getting Wayne to go to LA and how much the game has grown since because of it…

    I got to play in the Walter Gretzky Tournament and meet Walter and even with everything he was struggling with at the time he was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Absolute legend in every way he loved the game and the fans I'll forever be grateful i got to meet him

    Wayne Gretzky, such a gentleman. In the early 90's he was playing in a charity golf tournament near Windsor, Ont. My husband was building a house on the edge of the course, spotted Wayne and went over to him. He asked for his autograph, and Wayne was happy to sign 2 autographs. One for our newborn son and one for our hockey crazy nephew. An absolutely amazing Canadian!

    I listened to Wayne in the car tonight on my way to and from hockey practice. When the Great One says Gordie Howe was the greatest hockey player that ever lived, That says something! The humble respect Wayne shows his peers and the men who came before him is very heartwarming. I really enjoyed this one boys. Cheers

    That OT game 2 in 87’, 99 played 50+ mins and had 5 assists. In my opinion it was his greatest game ever because it was probably the best hockey ever played. Credit to The USSR for their part bringing it to that level. . . And yes Canada some favourable reffing.

    I also used to give my kids toys to charity. I hold it for a few weeks, and if they dont ask about it, some other kid will enjoy it. If they dont care enough about it to ask where it is, they dont want it anymore.

    Remember Aug 88 like it was yesterday when the trade happened it shook the sports world. It was similar to Jordan’s first retirement after the first three championships with the Bulls. It came out of no where and rocked everything.

    As a Kings fan, I hated the PLD trade at the time we made it. Nothing against PLD at all, but Vilardi was a burgeoning star. His hands and shot are elite and he plays an excellent 200ft game. We gave up the best player in that trade
