This problem can also be solve by using formula of hydrolysis of salt of weak acid and strong base. Since CH3COONa is a salt of weak acid and strong base. Formula is
PH=1/2 of Pkw +1/2 of Pka +1/2 of log C. Here all the data has been given. C is concentration of salt. Pka = - log(ka). Just put all data and get answer PH =9

@@sripoojithatallapelly6041 (H+)= ch= c(Kw/c. Kb)^1/2. Then take negative log for both sides then u will get pH= 1/2(pKw-pkb-log c). This is for strong acid and weak base

1 to 10 are must but after this you can solve log by some formula like you are finding for log of 15 then log15=log(5×3)
      log(5×3)=log5+log3~1.18
