- Here it is y'all! Please be nice, this is the first time iv ever made a tutorial... I tried my best to keep it short... I edited out the unneeded parts in order to save time... Next one will be more organized and well thought out. I really hope you all enjoy this tutorial/how to video. I'm happy very grateful to have 5,000 Subs right now ... And hope this channel keeps growing with all of your help! It has truly been an experience interacting with y'all!
Thanks for watching and remember always keep your brush clean and water down your paints!! - Хобби
If I had a new subscriber for everytime I said .. "Water your paint" and "clean up" we'd be at 1mil! 😂😂
Poundz978 hi I'm new to your channel and I love your work but I just wanted to ask you if you like star wars and do you collect black series
Lol i hear you bro! That’s why I need voice overs on my voice overs on some of my vids 😂
Life with Brock yeah, worse part is ... I did do voice and didn't manage to catch it until later in post production lol
some collector hey man, thx for coming ... Not really into Star Wars so much... I do like the characters but never really been too invested in it
Poundz978 alright that's cool man just keep up the good work and maybe give Star wars a try you never know but whatever your into bro I love Marvel and Dc anyways so I dig it. 👍
My son and I have several figures we've been wanting to repaint but I couldn't find any good info on how to go about the process or what kind of paint to use but this video has given me enough information I'm finally feeling confident in giving it a shot
Bro your custom for venom black panther is sou cool good job
This tutorial was soooo good. So helpful too. I have a black widow I'm dying to customize, now I know what paint to get.
I just spent a really relaxing half hour with you while customizing my own figure. I was applying a smooth acrylic base coat with you and thought of some new techniques to try now and in the future. Thanks friend.
You actually got me into tryna do my own custom, and to do that ive started looking up how to disassemble and repaint. Amazingly enough, you had a video for both. When i subscribed i didnt realize how awesome your channel really is. Thanks Poundz!
I like this tutorial. Very descriptive and thorough.
I've trying to make a custom Emma frost, but I didn't know how to paint. Watching your tutorial makes it easier to understand how to paint. Thank you!
Ballora And the Minireenas glad I could help!
Poundz, i have to say, theres good amount of people willing to share work skills on here, but i really appreciate you showing us how its done and equally how its not done, i love your tutorials, ive learnt so much, Thanks !
Im making a spawn its my first go at a custom. This helps so much..
Aames32 could you make a video on it? I would really like to see how it turned out
Congrats bro. It's a great hobby and can turn into a career.
This tutorial is still so very useful to me even after so many years. Thank you.🙏
Thank you for this very well thought out presentation. I'm just starting out and it's because of creators like you, Glenn Webb, and lifewithbrock that I am even confident enough to start. Keep doing what you are doing! 👍👍👍
Thanks for the tips! I just started on a clone trooper and mistakes were already made but it’s my first custom and I’m getting there lol. Thank you so much!
Not only an excellent art job but also an excellent done video! You’re an great artist in both worlds. Thanks man!
Looks like you picked up almost 15k subscribers since this video. Nice work mate.
This video is going in my saved list.
This was a very helpful tutorial, thanks for the video! That figure looks clean and this has inspired me a lot. I'm gonna try it out, wish me luck lol.
Looks spot on to the comic, 10 out 10.
Thanks for this tutorial, I'm more of a visual learner, so this is a big help
I'm gonna try these at some point with my Marvel Legends Movie Venom to make him more comic accurate. I might also try making the McFarlane/Bagley styled headsculpt to make it just perfect.
People like you are really inspiring... I'm trying to get better on this, Still a beginner! But already tried my first custom figure with a Kidpool... Hopefully I'll get better while practicing!
Great video mate, glad I finally found it.
I learned that I should always keep my brush clean and wated down my paints.☝️
Great work!!! Keep the tutorials coming!!! You have inspired me to start customizing.
Thanks for the tutorial! Just found your channel today and I cant stop watching your videos! Congrats on all the great works
Another awesome video! thanks for this! Keep 'em coming we'll be here for more!
My manz!! Yo you that dude bruh... I will have to watch this in it's entirety. Good looking out! Keep grinding! 💯👍🏽
Man. This is great. You really get down and cover the "simple" stuff most other painters and customizers just gloss over in their how tos. Made a huge mistake on my first custom and never went back (enamel, ruined the figure and the brushes I used). Seeing a simple, doable tutorial like this makes me want to try again.
Shaun totheMaxx thanks man, I try to stay transparent with everything I do and wanted to show that mistakes happen. No ones perfect ... Yes.. Never use Enamel paints .. They never dry and leave the figure tacky .. Thanks for watching
This was a great video. Thanks for making it and documenting the process.
This was a great tutorial, man! I'm really excited to start customizing figures.
Very cool man, looks like it came straight out of the package. Very clean and looks awesome honestly.
Great tutorial, you showed me some great tricks thatll help me in my paint my next piece
Holy shit man, lol I thought I knew what I was doing but I've truly learned so much from this vid . The joint rotation always chips for me ,sanding or cutting that down has helped me tremendously so thank you my dude . Hope your well my friend

Thank you so much! I am using this video to help me with my tom hardy venom custom!
Very true, just gotta do it, don't be afraid of messing up, always other figures you can try on again. I've been stalling on my angel and few others I had in progress, can't seem to push through because my prep takes hours and hours, I've been stalling for a year now, trying to get back in.
Thank you. I was looking for a way to repaint my son's action figure so he could have a 12 inch batman beyond. This tutorial helped out a lot. Here's a subscribe.
It looks really nice man! I had a good time watching your video. I also do customs, so watching your vid was theraputic for me, so peaceful :)
You give great advice to your viewers, i agree with many of your techniques and advice. And, You’re super funny dude! “Exhale like your poopin” OMG so relatable haha i totally do that
Thank you so much Bro! I got a McFarlane Injustice 2 triple pack. Supergirl Batman & Doc Fate. They gave me this dusty ass Batman but I love that Injustice 2 Suit. Wanna paint it up and give it a better look. I see your method and I appreciate your process. Thanks for the Knowledge my friend👌🏾!

Great video, thinking of starting to customize and this was really helpful.
Dope vid. I just got interested in this hobby today and stumbled upon this video. I appreciate that white background. Helps to see exactly what's going on with no distractions.
boc813 thanks you!
Thanks bro I have been thinking about starting to make some customs and your video really helps to explain how to do it. I won't be able to do a good a job as you but your pointers and tips really explain how the process works and makes it seem like I could actually try to do some stuff myself.
Also definitely liking and subbing bro! 👍🏻
Glad I came across this. I'm tired of there being no comic Star Lord in the 6 in scale so I'm snagging a broken older Star Lord figure for his head and the most recent figure
Thanks for the tips man! Im making a custom Blade figure right now and i need all the help i can get.

Awesome thanks dude great inspiration
Thank you for putting the gloves back on.but for real, thanks for this tutorial, this Panther is dope.
A damp paper towel is a paint brushes best friend. Always have one by your side to wet/wipe your brush every time you apply. I've never understood ppl getting those expensive, fancy little glass bottles of paint lol. I've been painting figures since the mid 90's and always used regular old acrylic paint. They cost about a dollar a bottle and they come in a thousand colors and varieties. But yeah, a good spotter brush is a must have for all those fine detailing. A toothpick/big t-shaped needle works even better for painting pupils and such.
Mark Curtis a cup of water to rinse the brush every now and then and then wipe on a paper towel is the best way to go.
I have used regular acrylic before and I was pleased with it until I met those little fancy glass bottles .. For me the paint is much more durable, it doesn't collect dust once dry, it doesn't dry sticky and tacky even when exposed to heat. To each is own, the Benefit of .50 cent paints are its color selection ...
And yes toothpick/pins for pupils ..(which I need more practice in) I hardly ever make faces
This is cathartic.
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing your techniques!
Eduardo Falcão thank you for watching

Awesome! Now I’m gonna make a shock snowtrooper with red paint.
That was great!
Great video! I want to customize the new Marvel Legends War Machine figure and paint him with the Iron Patriot colors, which is the way he actually looked in Endgame final fight scene.
If you mess up while painting You can always use a razor to scrape it off and then sand the area
dem gutts I'll keep that in mind thanks!
Amazing custom, good job 👍
Subscribed!!! Thank you for the awesome video!
Damn this is helpful af. I was gonna finish up my Spawn. Because my first one was whackkkkkkkkk. The paint came out all chalky. But with these tips I actually have hope. 👌

Watched the entire thing including all ads. lol. Seriously though, thank you for doing this. Learned a few new tips and can't wait to put them to use. Can you do a video about prep work? Would love to see your take on it. Joint rub has been a PITA for me. Especially with women bucks. I can't seem to get the shoulder sections and hips from rubbing.
