A fabulous country twist to LOVE HURTS by Gary Morris. One of the most beautiful voices in the entire industry; I'm a lifelong fan; Wish it would have been on a cd..or Itunes to purchase.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT IT BEING UNFORTUNATE IT DIDN'T MAKE THE ALBUM. KNOWING GARY ALL THESE YEARS THAT WAS ONE OF MANY SONGS HE SANG AT HIS LIVE SHOWS THAT NEVER MADE IT ON A RECORDING! HE IS ONE OF THE TRUE GREAT VOCALIST OF OUR TIME!
Gary Morris has the voice to make you feel the hurt. His guitar player is one of my favorites. The runs he makes on "I'll never stop loving you" are awesome (Y)
Love this video..love every song Gary sang..although I have always tried to find" Dancing The Night Away" Never found it! What an awesome voice and range!
I have never seen this video, but this is so wonderful. I wish there were a way I could upload this to my ipod. I hardly ever hear anything anymore about Gary Morris, but I wish he would come out and do more. I miss him.
Thanks so much for this. This was written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant. It's been covered many times. Nazareth's version from early '76 was the most well-known. Joan Jett covered it too, but hers didn't chart.
You're welcome! Gary is a favorite of Nashville StarVision and we would like to get with him to get some more material up. He does look good and sings even better! Thanks for the comment!!!
Toni, the song title: "I'll Never Stop Loving You," was written by Dave Loggins and J.D. Martin. In 1985, the song was Gary Morris' second number one country hit going to number one for one week and spending a total of fifteen weeks on the country chart. You can find it on several albums. Originally, on his "Anything Goes" album, and now on Gary Morris Rhino HiFive, and his greatest hits album. You can download it from itunes or listen on Napster or Pandora. Thanks for your comment!
I'm sorry that you think so HDR (May I suggest cleaning the wax out of your ears?) Gary's voice is perfect for this song at this tempo and arrangement-I WISH it was available to purchase for an MP3 player. But since he's touring again, maybe he will take a request and sing it for his FANS...which I have been since back in the day. Good day to you Sir (or Madame) as the case may be-
Not totally convinced Country music is the best Vehicle for Gary Morris's voice altho The wind Beneath Beneath My Wings and See the Love She Found in me might belie that idea. WOW What an AMAZING Beautiful voice he has as this version of Love Hurts proves. Gary should be a BIGGER better known singer listening to him sing is one of the seven wonders of the senses.
He also did some acting. He was on "The Colbys" and played a surgeon on "Designing Women." Quite a guy! Truth be told, he bears something of a resemblance to Boston's Brad Delp.
I notice that people reference Nazareth's version and the Everly Brothers (who I love), but their version was an album cut. The first big hit of this song was the 1961 version by Roy Orbison. With those unfamiliar with it, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Man oh man, I would pay $25 bucks just to have this song on a single cd ( or MP3)... Why didn't the producers feel that this wasn't cd worthy?? Gary Morris is one of the most under appreciated voices ever...he did a MUCH better version of Wing Beneath My Wings ( and Bette Midler got accolades) same with "So Little Love in the World". ( and Kenny Rogers did?) Something's just not right....
I'd take a ride on Gary Morris's Harley ( which is hardly a motorbike) anytime- Nazareth's song, with Gary's brilliant vocals, was a great match. No matter how "cheesy" you think the video is-
Love Hurts, Indeed. However, get back up on your feet, have confidence in yourself and "put your big pants on and deal with it. You will make it, work on your faith in YOURSELF!!

It's 2023 and Gary is still giving the gift of his incredible gift...I truly love this man for what he gives us.
Gary Morris is simply in a league all his own.

I can't hear this too often! You have no idea the pains I went to in order to get radio stations to play this, and not just in my own state!
First time I heard this and love his voice on this. Perfect B-side to Faded Blue.
Love this video..love every song Gary sang..although I have always tried to find" Dancing The Night Away" Never found it! What an awesome voice and range!
Garry Morris voice is like John berry it doesn’t get any better than that. They both are great singers.
I wonder why his 80's albums have not been released on cd. I fan from europe

Nashville could not have handled Gary Morris......too confining for his awesome voice and talent
Unfortunately, it was never released on an album. Thanks for your interest and comment!

Best version of this song I ever heard and I remember the original
It's good but the original by the Everly Brothers can't be duplicated.
cheryl chambers which original are you referring to? The Everly Brothers?
He also did AT&T spots, right? It seemed I remember him doing "Over the Rainbow" for them. Posting 12-7-22. Happy 74th, Gary Morris, and many more!

I love this version of this song
maybe the best version of this song.
Here's a question I've had for a while. Wasn't there a video for "100% Chance of Rain"? or did I dream it up?
Yes, there was a video. Watch it on youtube. It's still one of my very favorites.

I wish someone could post "Plain Brown Wrapper" that Gary sang,...its a beautiful song .
I don't agree with your opinion, but I do agree with your sense of humor! Thanks for commenting!

I'm so use to hearing the version NAZARETH recorded of this tune in 1976. This version isn't too bad from Gary Morris!
