This is my very first visit to your channel. I stopped by for this reaction because, I love this song and I get relive my first time hearing this, vicariously through you. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your experiences with me. p.s. I'm only 1:12 in and I already know, I like uncle Ted. I envy you. My extended family [G-Parents,Aunts, Uncles etc..] all lived on the east coast (NY mostly) and My family and I lived in SoCal (I was born there, everyone else was born in NY). Some of them I've met, others not but, there is no real relationship, we're virtually strangers. As of now, all my Mother's siblings and my Mom have passed. My Dad and 4 siblings are still here, the other 5 siblings passed.
This is what it is. I love this song and I wanna hear it in it's truest form but there is only one thing better and that is people bonding. Uncle and nephew bonding in this case...memories made. Uncle Ted, I'm glad you brought this dude into the Stapleton fold.

It was written by Dean Dillian and Linda Hargrove and originally recorded by country singer David Allan Coe in 1981 and was also the title of that album. It was later recorded and made more famous by the legendary George Jones in 1983. I understand showing respect to your elders but that does not mean just blindly believing everything they say especially if you are gong to post it for public consumption. I only commented due to being a life long country music fan probably around the same age as your uncle; give credit where credit is due to the writers and the original artist.
My only criticism is you aren't actually listening to the music... So many times I was saying to myself "the good bits coming" but you were talking through it. You seem like good guys but you don't pay much attention.. To many distractions 😂😂😂
