Nightwish and Epica definitely are the top 2. I guess whos better is rly up to taste. I think Nightwish takes the edge for me bcs they dont have grunts and are more melodic which I love. Their songs are more beautiful while Epicas are generally very aggressive (they have some gorgeous ballada tho). Idk if im making any sense but yeah Epica and Nightwish are the best symphonic metal bands ever.

A very nice song. I had First discovered Epica with the "last crusade" song. Simone Simmons' voice is excellent. Today I will see them performing Live here in Athens 🇬🇷 along with Blind Guardian and Sabaton. Can't wait.
Edit: Just returned from the Concert. They were excellent and so were the other bands. Hope I will have the chance to see you performing live here again.
We need more live and quality recordings from them! Would love to see some of 2021 concerts recorded professionally.

The Epica live at Alcatraz 2021 performance was recorded for TV. However while the video was good quality, it was let down by poor audio mixing.

no estuve alli en sus inicios, el metal sinfonico ya era algo conocido para mi, he escuchado de todo de ese genero, pero Epica, carajo, en todo sentido sobresale, por los momentos y espero por muchos años mas es mi banda favorita, fue un sueño hecho realidad cuando al fin vinieron por estos lados en el 2017, ese concierto lo recordare hasta el dia que me muera

Sin duda Epica es una banda muy aparte de las otras del género (sin menospreciar). Su estilo es único, sus líricas son un monumento a la conciencia humana y la grandeza que puede alcanzar el pensamiento...
Lo mejor es que a partir de hoy podemos comprar el Omega Alive en DVD o Blu Ray y poder verlo todas las veces que queramos.
Sabes donde se consigue en México? Lo necesito!

Man can't wait till my copy gets here and I can listen to it all on my proper theater system. Man Issac always looks like he's having the time of his life on stage great to see. Hell on this one the whole band looks like they are just having fun. When the song isn't 15 mins you can just let go and jam for a few mins.
