Funny story, but I can't get over the fact his high school was 2 hours away.
miss october probably 2 hours away by public transportation, but maybe only 30-40 minutes if you're driving straight there. A lot of times parents will have their kids commute far if it's to a great private school. I'm guessing Kevin went to a private school if it was that far away.
4 hours a day doing nothing. I guess he always got his homework done.
He went to a public school in Philly that is a magnet school (Which means you need to have great academics and behavior to be admitted) named George Washington High School, My mom and he used to take the same bus to school she went to Northeast High School.

This also reminds me of the days prior to cellphones that automatically update the time where you had to manually change your clocks when the time went forward. I never watched tv or listened to the radio as I worked two jobs so didn't know that time had gone forward. I showed up to work what I thought was 30 minutes early and was really 90 minutes early. I was so confused about why my car was the only one in the parking lot. The security guard had to break it to me that I was too early and needed to cool my heels for an hour.
