Bought this guitar a month ago based on the color alone. Was that smart? No but apparently yes. Also I didn’t realize “mini” meant for kids lol. I’m 4’11” with tiny hands and short arms anyways. I ain’t mad

probably the fact hes also running through a really fucking good amp. the amp is much more important to making any guitar sound good
So what you're saying is you can buy a $100 Squire instead of an American made Strat and they will sound the same as long as you use a good amp?
Mr. G. Not always but a $100 guitar with a $2000 amp will sound better than a $2000 guitar with a $100 amp most of the time
@@bezzarguy I'd plug a Squire classic vibe into a Vox AC30 vs a Murican' Fender into a Line 6 Spider any day home skillet
Really, with a good player and a $2000 fender amp with tons of reverb, anything sounds great.
I got a fever... And the only cure is more reverb.
Definitely an insane and unpleasant level of reverb and clack.

I have one that I changed the tunners & the nut to a raised one & makes a really awesome lapsteel..
Did you change the tuning? I'd like to get one and tune it C9.

Ikr? $129 is super affordable for a good quality guitar thats NOT what is basically a glorified childrens toy. Most guitars under $100 are basically garbage. I wouldnt get this guitar personally but Id get it for a kid but its still a pretty good beginners strat for the price. Id say anything under $700 is realistically affordable but thats just me.

I got a pasty white version of this when I was 11, i was about 5'2 then. I'm now thirteen and im 5'7 and slowly outgrowing my guitar
Reverb lost me but i love cheap stuff. Its not the tools, its the carpenter.

Nice to see the Fender mini and in pink no doubt! Yep they'll be loads of whining over this one but hey it is what it is. My son's 7 and has one of these in red from 2002 I picked up off of fee bay to get him started and he loves it. Dude, you could make shoe strings tied to a toilet plunger sound good! Enjoyed brother/ Missed ya'!

I have a black one and a Vox amPlug 2 Classic Rock Guitar Headphone Amp that I use when we RV travel.
Easy to store away in the RV, low cost, sounds great!

Either that’s a really high quality instrument (very likely) or Michael Lemmo has the hands of an angel (even MORE likely).

You could play a washboard and make it sound like a strat. However it does show what is possible with that short scale guitar and it does it well. Its definitely good enough for learning and practicing on and with the right amp and maybe even switching out the PU for a better quality you could perform with it. Nice going.....Thanks!

I've been putting off buying a guitar for so long due to being so picky, but finally made a decision about what I wanted and ended up with one of these cute little things.
7:26 - Quick edit/cut scene cause the guitar was completely out of tune already. I see what you did there.
Too bad . I've heard rumours that mini strat's vice is to go easily out of tune
@@napomania Not really, if (and this is a big if) it is set up right. Most guitars don’t come from the factory with a good setup, and Squiers are particularly bad in this regard. I spent a lot of time getting my mini Strat set up just right, and it holds tune incredibly well.
It is worse than useless for staying in tune. Zero respect for people promoting a product they clearly know is rubbish.

I've got a Taylor gsmini acoustic (my daughter's really) and coming from a concert uke (my usual), the gsmini feels huge. I am just starting on guitar. Not going to play in a band, don't need a tremolo, so dont need a floating bridge. This looks small but the stretches I need for the gsmini are enough to start with. I like this, though if I do, I'll go for the black. And the vox 10w amp. More than enough. This sounds great. Three single coils (sharp and clear). I dont use a pick at the moment, on the uke so fingers and thumb and finger picking to keep it familiar. Great to see what it can do in the hands of a professional. Inspiring.
I've actually rewatched all the Affordable Favorites Videos just to watch him play that great rendition of Graceland again
2:29 How do you get that sound?? I want to learn the guitar and get that effect. Sounds soulful or something I could use with my beats.
Search up Neo soul or RnB, not sure if that’ll help but I started learning guitar primarily bc of Neo-soul!

Yeah but those lessons as a kid you mention at 1:21 obviously paid off for you. Nice touch and better musicality than most. Who are your influences? By the way you made a great case for this little guitar from getting to know the pickups to being able to play genres not so open to one on a nylon string guitar...though if you haven't seen XueFei Yang rock a nylon, you should!
That neck pick up song reminded me of say it ain't so by weezer and a bit of John Mayer's slow dancing in a burning room.
Nevertheless, great guitar for the money and wonderful playing. Now, let us know which amo was used haha

Guys I have pretty small hands. I have a full size acoustic guitar and I can’t reach across the neck. Do you think I’d struggle with reaching across a full sized strat as well?
The problem is reach. My 3 yr old granddaughter has no prob reaching around a full size V I bought her. Use felt locks on a kid strap instead of strap locks so the guitar is not scratched and when she is 60 she can buy a condo with it.

Why pay more? I have two of these, V1 and V2. I put Warmoth 22 fret necks on them (yes ... it DOES intonate, bridge adjustment needed). Amazing sound for $99 (when I got the V1 2 years) and $129 when I got the V2 a couple of months ago. Seems the price has gone up ... are people catching on ?

Get a small short scale, like a Mustang, this one here is too small for serious playing
This is actually probably perfect. I'm 5'8" and my ibanez mikro has become my main guitar. I would actually recommend the mikro over the mini strat.
What gauge strings can it take without any nut filing? Do they come with 9s? So they stay in tune after stretching them?

I Don't Know Elisa In the video he says it’s great for beginners for example kids. Also I have heard people say they used it when they were beginners. The price is also super affordable for a good quality guitar for a beginner.

That's pretty small and pink but I've had smaller although it was hairier, the sound that is , it was the mid eighties after all
