Regarding education in design, when I saw the flexi handles integrated onto scissors, my thumb joint nerves sang in relief; I am now able to cut materials, without so much excruciating pain, thanks to design progress. Tonic Tools thought carefully from A to Z. Thanks from Sera. 💚😁
@@scrapbook No. Thank You for your showing a product designed this well. I have purchased the scissors because of the comfort detail shown here on your video. So I am grateful to this channel for being a credit to people like me that find generic scissors a challenge because of chronic pain. I am truly impressed.
Tim, you're the best !! I thought I knew all about these tools, but as always you showed me some new tricks. I love everything you ever come up with. You are able to make the best things, because being a crafter you know what we need and want. Keep up the good work and take care !! ❤😀
I wish I had seen this video before I just purchased new snips for fussy cutting. I was going to order Tim Holtz but read the reviews and some said that because of the serrated edge they were not good for fussy cutting due to leaving the uneven edge. So I went with a different brand. But I love the soft handles on these scissors which would be wonderful since I have arthritis in my hands pretty bad. But bottom line here I will be purchasing the other scissors in the larger size after watching this video. Also love the non stick aspect of these scissors.
Thank you for explaining the serrated edge on the scissors I did not like that when I used them so was very disappointed after having bought all three pairs. Now I know how to fix it. QUESTION what is the smallest marking/ measurement on your trimmer? I find if I have an inch wide piece of paper on most trimmers it would be completely under the guide and there for you can’t move it to make fine corrections.
Thanks , I didn’t realize that the tools are great, self sharpening,& non stick. I love my large scissors, now I need the small ones. Going to buy a set of scissors for my son who damaged his thumb by workworking, he will love the flexible handles. dec 2018
You think of EVERYTHING, Tim! Love you and your ideas! Where type project do you recommend for just starting with paper crafting? I love your tools, paints, etc., but feel overwhelmed with where to start. Thanks for your time! Betsy
All these tools have a prominent space on my work table...I would be lost without them!!! I need a justifiable reason to give my husband on why I need the new ones in black when they are released:) Can't wait to add the maxi guillotine to my toolbox!
We were discussing that just the other day at lunch!!! The red tools still work perfectly, but we REALLY want the black set too! We decided that it's a tool and everyone needs more than one screw driver or wrench...right!?!?! We totally enable each other at the lunch table. lol Totally feeling your pain here as well. Thanks for watching.
Good answer SB.com, especially for our hubbies LOL! Thanks so much for these TH videos...I always take away something from them and who doesn't 'love Tim'!
Are there any kind of warranty on the scissors.? I have the middle size I haven’t had them all that long and I don’t remember where I bought them but they won’t cut anymore I have clean them every way that I have read to clean them and still they won’t cut
Hi Sue! (: If you think you may have bought these from Scrapbook.com, please contact our customer service team, and they would be happy to help remedy the situation. Please see their contact information here: support@scrapbook.com
Ok...that does it. I've wanted these scissors (yes...ALL of them) for a long time. Just seeing you demonstrate them has convinced me how much I NEED them. (You're just such a cutie, doncha know???) Not only do I do cards, scrapbooking and mini albums, I'm also a seamstress. So I'd like these scissors because they can cut paper and fabric. Where or where were these when my kids were young I ask??? My son (who is now in his 40's) used to cut things like, oh...I don't know...wire, thick thick felt, etc. He was always designing sound systems for people's cars when he was 16 or so. And covering them with this heavy felt stuff. I can't tell you how many pair of wonderful, pricey scissors of mine that he ruined. We can giggle now...but it wasn't funny at the time :-) And it was worth it...he now has degrees in electronic and electrical engineering! But he isn't allowed in my sewing room when he and his family visit! His 3 daughters are...but not him! Ha ha! I love anything with the Holtz brand on it!! It's always top quality. That's why I asked for (and got) the Stamp Platform for Christmas...from this same son and family :-)
Great story there Sherrie! Boys will be boys - any age huh! ;) What do you sew? I'm just getting into patchwork after a long break from sewing anything, other than the usual household mending! I love the BIG fabric 'n' paper scissors too Sherrie - but I'm still going to keep MY pair under lock and key when I am out of my craft room/studio/office! They come in black now too - so I'll have a red pair and my hubby can have a black pair - or will that be the other way round - do want to side with Mario and stay with black or get side tracked by that rascal Tim and go for the all new RED (for Wales, UK - Lol!)? Decisions - decisions.......... OR DO THEY? Hey Tim - have all the black handled scissors gone now?
I sew anything and everything. Been sewing for over 6o years! lol. I do quilting and sew clothing of all kinds. Just an all around crafty addict! That's why, whenever possible, I like to buy top quality tools. Otherwise it's a waste of money. I've never bought anything with Tim Holtz' brand on it that I don't love. So...gotta get me some scissors by him!
Guys what about all of us who are living in Europe...?I guess in the future you will figure this out too..;)..I am getting confused about the 8ths...1/8..5/8..7/8..Thank you for all those amazing products...xxx
Hi Sue! I would suggest contacting the company you bought them from. Perhaps you are eligible for a return/refund? If you purchased the scissors through Scrapbook.com, please contact our customer service team here: support@scrapbook.com
Hi to anyone! The rubber stamps, don’t work on this platform! How do you get the rubber stamps to clean to the platform? I’ve only removed the 1 wood-base!
Wish I could fussy cut or cut a straight line like he does. I'm horrible with scissors. I cant even cut with a blade either I think I push to hard. But cool line of products
Can these scissors be used to cut thin aluminum like soda cans? That's what I need and the serrated blade is perfect for cutting soda cans. Any one who has used them on soda cans, please leave a message to let me know. Thanks.
Hi Sonja! We don't see any issues on our end. If the problem persists, you can email our Happiness Specialists at support@scrapbook.com and they will gladly help you! 🥰
Oh yea.... I see your clear centering ruler, for sale, "out of stock" everywhere I see it. Is it something that will be available again??? p.s. Love the "tiny tools" (that's what I call all the small/one handed tools)...
Man, I only want to move to the US to get access to stationery and art supplies. Ya'll don't realise how lucky ya'll are. I only get 30% of the stuff in my country and they cost 3 times as much. I spend all my money on art and craft supplies. 🥲
I hate to pay for shipping if I can find an item I want elsewhere that offers free shipping even if you have to buy a certain amount to get it. I am new to cardmaking and finding out it can be an expensive hobby! I cannot find your new black glass mat anywhere where I don't have to pay shipping. Joanne's does not carry it. I believe it was either TONIC or Scrapbook.com that I looked for it last week and it was on backorder but they charged shipping anyway. Anyone know? Thank you.
The great thing about the tools is that they will last for years! Grab your favorite color now and know they will stand the test of time. Thanks for watching.
lefties can use right handed scissors. BUT WE have to look over right handed scissors. LEFT HANDED SCISSORS we dont . As to right handed. IT IS DIFFERENT.
Sheena Marie, I can use either hand with Tim's design. Both of the blades are the same, as are the handles. This makes them truly ambidextrous. The lefties in the family like them. You should try them out. It's not like having to make do with conventional scissors at all.
I lovvvvvvvvve all and everything u make but I am African American woman and I noticed that ur paper dolls in some of ur other paper people are white have u ever thought about make a packet of paper doll with all African American people I would love that

Great products.
What a great video about the tools. I think I’ll have to invest in some new scissors.
Thanks Sandra! Be sure to check them out on our site here: www.scrapbook.com/store/products/?w=tim+holtz+scissors (:
Very informative video. Thanks for sharing.
Love the scratch tool, TYFS
Question. When taping a stencil over card stock paper for inking what kind of tape is that? It lifts off the paper without tearing it!
Masking tape (the higher end artist tapes or gum tapes), washi masking tapes and some use sticky notes

What is the difference between the Guillotine Trimmer with red handle and Guillotine Trimmer with black handle ?
Do the shears cut other materials besides paper and fabric?
YES!!! They cut ALL the things beautifully.
I have a pair in my kitchen. They cut celery like a dream.
Gosto dos seus produtos. Parabéns!
Love your tools!
My brand new black perforator isn’t cutting, only scoring the paper 😣
Hi to anyone!
The rubber stamps, don’t work on this platform!
How do you get the rubber stamps to clean to the platform?
I’ve only removed the 1 wood-base!
Cool tools.
Great video.
Where can i get your products in Malaysia (South East Asia)?

Love the tools... but disappointed in the change to black.
The great thing about the tools is that they will last for years! Grab your favorite color now and know they will stand the test of time. Thanks for watching.
Make left handed scissors Tim.
Sheena Marie yes pls
Look at the scissors carefully. Both sides are the same to allow left or right hand operation.
Rosey Rodriguez, Tim Holtz scissors are the same on both sides. They are for right or left hand use.
