In the days of using a spongy floppy mat for dry embossing with the machine, we used to put the stencils through to get a raised emboss. This would look pretty with your stencil ❤
I love doing that with my stencils too :) In fact you could even double emboss with this technique! Thanks so much for watching and leaving me a comment - I really appreciate it :)
I’ve never seen this technique. Thanks for sharing will definitely be trying this

What a different technique, Laura! I've done printing kind of like that with a stencil after ink blending over it - just spray the ink on the stencil with water & then put your watercolor or mixed media paper over that to create a print. But I never thought to ink up a stencil with embossing ink & then add embossing powder to the panel. And thank you for the tip about using a die cutting machine. I would think the same technique could apply with just regular inks as well, if you didn't want to heat emboss. Distress Oxides or pigment inks might be better for smoother coverage with that process, but regular Distress or dye inks might give an interesting result as well. I just may have to play with this. I don't know if it would necessarily work with embossing powder like you showed, but you could add a silicone mat over the stencil on the cardstock to dry emboss the stencil design into the cardstock at the same time. I hope that makes sense! I would probably protect the silicone mat with a piece of copy paper between it & your stencil/cardstock, just to keep it from getting inky. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing this. Take care, & I hope you have a fabulous day! :)
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment ☺️ yes I've don't this with my gel plate before and inked the stencil up but I had never tried it with embossing powder and it definitely opens up another world of possibilities 😅 you could definitely use the silicone mat when you run it through to get a double emboss - that would work and look great too!
Nice
Thank you so much! And thank you for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment ☺️
