Love Bear Creek above Morrison, my nephew and son caught their first trout there when they were 10 , we were on vacation from WV and Slayed trout all up and down the front range, Clear creek was my fav for spinning rod fishing for browns, silver rooster tails in cloudy weather and gold rooster tail blades in sunny, the weight and color is my lil secret though ( 40 fish day in 2007 lol) no one I met even fished for browns in clear creek, there's monsters in there
Crazy how close bear creek is and how nice the fishing looks here!!! Great stuff!!! Any recommendations on what size is good to eat? maybe a catch and cook?
I agree! I think bear creek fishes best this time of year through October. You can keep browns there but the fish are small so there aren’t many good keepers size ones. I’ll have to do a catch and cook sometime but it will probably be this winter when I am doing more ice fishing.

Heck yeah! I used to spin fish those creeks a lot but I’ve had the fly bug lately.
