I'm imagining this as being similar to Flying Battery, going between being inside and outside the Death Egg, as well as the interior of the Death Egg having a lot more colors, especially views of the bright blue sky outside. There are a lot less intentionally placed hazards such as spikes or tesla coils, and a lot more hazards caused by the construction, such as loose wires, unmounted springs, moving parts, and death pits leading outside. Some spikes only receive power on a timer. Though they still knock you back, they don't actually damage you. Outside, spikes are instead nails driven into the scaffolding, loose bits of scaffolding act as breakaway ledges, and cranes carrying various parts are abundant. Badniks range from DEAR GOD THE TURRETS; flying enemies carrying spike balls, boxes, or bombs, which are all dropped on the player, except the ones carrying boxes may instead avoid the player; And several enemies from both the vanilla launch zone and the vanilla death egg, except with some modifications to give them an alternative purpose, like being electrified due to being a living battery, or bringing boxes elsewhere
There's so much literal Death Egg Zone in here lol (it makes sense for sure, but it's maybe a bit too much in some places? The outro just goes all in.) I can imagine this and the Act 1 song playing in an original zone, Egg Atoll Zone, which takes place on a small island where the Death Egg's remnants crashed down after Sonic 3 (after S&K if you consider S3&K to be two separate stories). Act 1 is mostly island, with Death Egg pieces littered around to create obstacles while the main chunk lurks in the background, but Act 2 (this one) takes you towards that big chunk in the background and has you going around both inside and outside it. That's a free idea for people making hacks or fangames, I suppose.

SOMEONE MOD THIS
This sounds so good!
This theme definetly feels like a final stage. Congrats to the composer!
It was made by Leila Wilson, the composer for Freedom Planet. You should check out more of her stuff if you're interested, it doesn't disappoint!
This was made by her?! No wonder this track felt Freedom Planet-like
@@SerpentYoukaiyeah,like Sky Battalion

That sounds like an AWESOME idea dude, someone should make that!!
Do remember that launch base is literally you racing down to the launch site of the Death Egg
NIce, gonna be writing that in my zone ideas file and maybe make music for it.

Thanks for the idea! Maybe I can put it in my Sonic fan game!
I kinda wish whoever made this kept the “go” vocals… and god you know when you hear this, shits getting real!
Yeah, I probably should have. >_

what the fuck this is incredible

Out of the all the Sonic 3 alt themes, this song is my favorite next to Marble Garden zone 1 funky theme. This is worthy of final stage music. 😊💪
Agreed, also Hydrocity act 2 is a banger too
I don’t mind that this is very similar to death egg zone. This soundtrack also makes death egg completely different so it’s fine
Who made this? Sega should of payed this person to use this replacement in Origins!
