26yo ago in Cardiff, a bloke from North Kessock offered me a free ticket to see the Stereophonics at Cardiff Castle. I had never heard of them, but there was no way I was turning down a free ticket to anything. It turned out the "free ticket" was actually a barman's wristband and I had to enter through the staff entrance, cut-off off the wristband and escape into the crowd. I'm a country fan. This was a rock band I had never heard of. I stayed near the bar, just trying to take everything in, listen to these fantastic songs I had never heard before.; and of course buying pint after pint. Towards the end, the band played "Billy Davie's Daughter." I was stood at the bar. The crowd was singing along to every word. I had tears streaming down my face. I didn't know the song, so I wasn't prepared for that level of heartbreak. To this day, it remains the best gig I've ever been to. (Sorry Kris Kristofferson, Kylie Minogue, The Manic Street Preachers and others.) Onywiy, a few years later I was in a second-hand shop on Dalry Road in Edinburgh and they had a VHS tape of the gig. I had no idea it was even being filmed. So of course I bought the tape and I still have it. Then tonight "Billy Davies' Daughter" came up on Spotify and I wondered if that gig might be on RUclips - and it i

I brought this on VHS back in the day; so was stoked to see it on digital media. Thanks for sharing. Still lots of love for this bang. One of the best things to come out of our neighbour's country, including the likes of Sir Tom Jones, the Manics and Joe Calzaghe.
There amazing not the same without Stuart though. I live near where they came from. Been lucky enough to see them live. Hope you're doing alright mate.
I hate to say it as I used to live near where they started out in Cwmaman but I preferred them like they were back then like you said proper rock and roll
had the pleasure of seeing these boys live twice. kelly is about 5 foot butgoddamn can he sing! and he just goes at it for about 3 hours without his voice breaking! a PROPER rock band. I feel they will be appreciated more in the future.
I was there with my nephew and a some Spanish girls. We were quite close to the front. When the Stereos came on, there was a massive crowd surge and I got knocked backwards with a hell of force. Luckily somebody caught me before I hit the floor and got me back on my feet. Thanks again to whoever that was. I went to work in the Middle East a few weeks after and my life changed a hell of a lot. I've only just learnt that the gig was released on DVD. I'm going to watch it over the Christmas hols with a few beers. I might even send a copy to the Spanish girl I was with if I can find her address. Thanks for uploading.

Uno de los mejores conciertos más infravalorados de Stereophonics..
Una de las mejores bandas de los tiempos de Gales en términos de rock hablando!.
