Hi, I’ve been watching your videos with interest , I like the fact that for image transfer you’re covering the basics. I’ve just followed tut to the letter with same supplies, but when I went back after letting it dry my plate was clean and my mag (vogue) was ink. I’ve tried again, the same, so tried not letting it dry and it pulled… yeah! This process is certainly not as easy as you make it 🤗
Thank you for sharing your techniques. Your straightforward approach is very rewarding. I am looking for an ‘art tissue paper’. The one that you use appears to be both strong and transparent. Would you mind sharing the brand please. 😊
thanks Jane for the detailed explanation, have tried it so far on a homemade gel plate, unfortunately had no success with it at all. Have now bought a plate. Am curious about the result.😀
I have no experience with a homemade gellplate. I hope the bought one yields better results for you! I'd love to know the difference between the two. Let me know!
Merci pour ces explications, malgré ça, quand par miracle il y a le transfert de l’image , car la plupart du temps rien ne se calque sur la gel plaque , mais ensuite je n’arrive pas à décoller l’image à la fin, tout reste sur la plaque. Pourquoi ? Merci
Hello, I have the ELLE magazine from September, my mother does not know about the Internet and she let me search the Internet for some things, ideas, crafts, the magazine has many large photographs that could be used, I am going to subscribe to her RUclips channel to look at some examples and be able to make some personal decorations for you, while I watch your videos, I'll take notes while I wait for you to make crafts with the magazine I have (ELLE from September) is new and possibly will be in your hands soon, I leave you greetings and I would like you to publish a lot of content with magazines. Thank you
I use the hairdryer VERY CAREFULLY and on a very low setting. I monitor it always! I say in every video to be careful not to overheat/melt your gellplate. Its a personal choice.
Fantastic! Cannot wait to implement this in my own work!!! Great tutorial!!!!!

Thanks so much! Apologies for slow reply!
Great technique. Thank you. What do you do with the tissue transfers?
Fabulous. I love your art. I especially ❤️❤️❤️ your videos. Thanks for inspiring your followers 😘
That is really kind of you! Thank you. I really enjoy helping others get better results with their image transfers!
Thank you. I appreciate your clarity. Do you think this might work on Deli paper?

The print on the magazine needs to be high in contrast. Vogue and Bazaar works best I found out. It’s a hit and a miss.
Yes it does! I forgot to mention that in the video. I've now added it to the Description under the video.
I tried lots of things but I always end up with an empty plate....I printed on my smaller ones and that goes well. I am frustrated and confused
Outstanding tutorial! Thank you. How did you adhere the plate to your work surface?
I sit the gellplate on a larger piece of cardboard and use masking tape to fix the cardboard to the table.

Anyone knows how this works? Why does it leave the outline???
It is a resist method. Where the ink is on the glossy paper, that resists the paint and leaves it on the gelplate.

Thought one mustn’t use a hairdryer on the gel plate😱
