Dear Mr. SAHA, I have got 8.5 in listening on my second attempt by following the strategy. In my first attempt, I have got 7 bands in listening. After completing the test I realised I SHOULD HAVE USED THOSE EXTRA SECONDS to read further questions and it is ALLOWED. I did not do it because it was my first attempt in CBT and I was afraid If I click next then the current section will be shifted to the next section.
So, I was about to make a youtube video on the same strategies which you have mentioned as strategies number 1 and 2 for IELTS aspirants. You are doing really a great job because No one (Not even professional classes) gives the tips which you have given. They are like a dart in the bull's eye. With this strategy, one can nail the IELST Listening. Thanks!

Great video! Taking IELTS requires special preparation. Everyone who has taken IELTS will confirm that it is not enough to communicate fluently in English in order to get the necessary scores. When preparing for the exam, I recommend you to study special IELTS preparation books because they are specially designed for a student to understand how to take the exam. Take IELTS practice tests to prepare psychologically for the exam and get a feel for the time. In addition to IELTS textbooks and simulators, I also recommend for you Yuriy Ivantsiv's practice book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language". This book provides tips on solving many of the problems that every student faces when preparing for the exam. For example, how to effectively memorize new words, how to learn to write without mistakes, how to begin discussing a topic without stuttering, how to memorize new and why one forgets and much more. I wish everyone a 9.0 IELTS ! Good luck in creating your best future! Believe in yourself and never give up friends!

Two things i would like to point out, the examiners are well trained to mark you on the basis of the official marking criteria including grammatical range and accuracy, lexical resource, cohession and coherence etc, adding any accent would not benefit you in the speaking test whatsoever. Nothing will go into the examiner's "subconscious" since they take hundreds of test and listen to hundreds of people trying to fake an accent. Secondly, using British or American spellings is your choice as long as you follow only one in all your exam. If you write 'organize' in one place and 'organise' in the other, that'll hurt your score.

    Hey Aniket,
Thanks for highlighting a difference between paper based and computer based exam. Previously I have given paper based exam and some echoing issue was observed in the listening session. Presently I am planning to give exam again but I am confused which mode I should prefer because in paper based we will get 10 minutes more to write down the answer but in CBT I found it's difficult to write answers spontaneously.
Secondly, want to confirm we need to write answer in caps or in sentence case.

Dear better go with paper based because most of the time you dont recall correct spelling but by writting it down by hand you get the right spelling! It happens with me! All the best

You said for phone number they might say "O98" instead of " zero 9 8" right? If audio says O instead of zero but it's reference to a number, do we still need to write O instead of 0?

IELTS is an International Language Test and not a UK test so both American and British spellings are accepted.

Does the case matters in answers in CBT ?? Like they should be in uppercase or lowercase specifically? Please give correct information. I will be thankful.
