    Mama!! Mama!! Isn't that what a child says? lol Thank you for being our sewing Mama. You know, I think I like the 2 Dolman tops best! They are all pretty and the blue stripe Seaside is a nice color for you. You are such a good teacher! I truly appreciate how you taught us about the different fitting adjustments. Thank you so very much for all you have done for us. I have learned a lot from you and always love seeing your creations! Get some rest, you deserve it. Hugs

    Enjoyed this series very much, glad you are picky and have enough material to rethink and come up with that diagonal...great. I did like the Chanel neck, it was done perfectly but you are wearing it and it needs to be comfortable. I learned so much and I am not a novice sewer, sewist. Agree the green one was off. It looked like a woven floral over a green tee shirt. Marci Tilton makes many combo knits and even sells bundles that work together...quite expensive though.

    Not sure if you will get this or not but love your videos and I just started using Judy's fitnicesystem. I am making the seaside one, but when I cut the front, two pieces my necking doesn't match up will it match better after I make my scoop neck? I watched your video several times, but you don't mention about the neck after your first cut. Can you explain.

    • @Joy4650B
      @Joy4650B  2 года назад

      Hmmmm. Your neck should be exactly right BEFORE you cut it into two pieces. Then you add seam allowance to each side -- since you cut it apart. The two pieces should go right back together.

    Joy, I don’t have the workbooks from Judy yet: waiting till “my” payday this week. Anyway, is it hard to change the neckline to a v-neck instead of the rounded neck. Those look better on me. I love the green striped one you are wearing in this video, too.

    I enjoyed the three-part series of FitNice System. I like you require a bust dart as I am a plus-size lady with G - H cups. I still have not received my FitNice System pack in the mail as I live in Australia when the videos finished I was left wondering what the top would look like without the darts, in its original pattern and hope I haven't wasted my money on something Surefit Designs would make it exactly the first time. However, I do like all the variations and think that was the draw-card when deciding to purchase. Thank you for all the time you spent it is appreciated. Incidentally, on your other videos, you have a few variations of a similar top - sleeveless, three-quarter sleeves, V-neck and round neck. They are all made with stretch fabric, fitted at the bust, and curve out over the hips. Can you tell me what pattern you used for these patterns?

    The green and black crossover, maybe shorten it about six inches, maybe three inch slits at bottom side seam, maybe on the inside waist at side seams sew about a three inch elastic on each side to cinch waist and. Give more shape - the floral side is too big and flat. Just my ideas from this view.

      I bought that from Hancock Fabrics many years ago. It was on sale for $99.

    The back is hanging longer because the fabric was cut on the bias. The front issue is from cutting one on the length wise grain and one on crossgrain they stretch different amounts

      Those things are not true in a knit according to Peggy Sagers. The striped fabric stretched the same amount both directions, but that would certainly be true otherwise. Peggy says there is "No Bias" in a knit except for changing the direction of the stripe.

      Joy Bernhardt Thanks, i was wondering where you learned that. I love your videos. Im trying to sew up some of my stash while I’m stuck at home here in Washington st. Like you, I’ve perfected the fit of a knit t shirt pattern that i can also lengthen and make into a t shirt dress I also finally have a vest pattern I like the fit of. I put in a slight round back and its so much better. I also put pockets in the lining so i don’t have to carry my purse into the grocery store Im calling my recent sewing my Covid wardrobe 😉

    Joy you are so talented. I have been trying to make clothes for years, I have a similar shape to you. I have not got one single item when finished that I can wear, they never look good, or fit properly. I have even tried surfeit designs
