Hello there!! Welcome to the channel! Werner has very nice terminals with a lot of services!! Sadly they go through a lot of drivers. I’m sure by now you’ve watched some of our other videos and see some of the reasons. Some of it is ‘just trucking’ but there are definitely ways Werner could improve retention. We don’t regret starting with them. 😎

Not even a fridge in the trucks, so much for driver comfort

Greetings, Kevin. If it's alright to ask what made you choose Kenworth over the other makers Werner had for you to pick from? I really enjoy the video's you and your wife make. Any tips you can share during the training period I start on the 28th of March with Roadmaster and then on to Werner. Regional is the rout I'd like to do. Are making left and right turns with a tractor trailer difficult? Of course, I'm trying to not watch to many videos on backing maneuvers because I don't want to take away on how the instructors at Roadmaster teach or get confused if a video shows one way and the school teaches it totally different. I did see your videos when you were attending the Pheonix trucking school was the transition from learning manual transmission to automatic strange or weird? Sorry for all the questions. Thank you for sharing your experience, Stay safe out there. Do either you to have a facebook page I can follow?

Hey there!! Congratulations on your decision! Glad to hear that you enjoy our videos. You'll definitely find a lot of useful information, especially if you are going with Werner. There are so many little details that we have been learning along the way. So, we hope that by sharing our experience it can cut other driver's learning curve.
      Anwers:
      1. Kevin loves the Kenworth for its power and stability. Having spoken to other experienced drivers he was aware that the International and Freightliners were not as smooth a ride. Kenworth is a top brand name, so a good reputation. He trained on a 2021 Freightliner and didn't like the adaptive cruise control. And we LOVE the big table in the Kenworth T680.
      2. Biggest tip...watch our videos. LOL. Work through the computer lessons as quickly as possible so you get more time in the yard. Try to get as much wheel time as possible.
      3. Yes, they are difficult, but you will acquire the needed in school. Then it's just a matter of practice and time. Watch the back of your trailer in your mirrors as you complete the turn. That way you can tell if you cleared it.
      4. Nope...not weird. Study the controls for Jake Brake and Shifter before you get going. In the automated the computer does all the 'hard' work, so it is much easier.
      5. Check description for social media. No facebook yet but on instagram...sort of.
Thanks for watching! We wish you all the best!!! Let us know how it goes! We'll see you out there soon!!
