Очень красивая модель. И отдельное спасибо пилоту за отличный демонстрационный полёт.
Sehr schönes Modell. Und ein besonderer Dank geht an den Piloten für den tollen demonstrationsflug.
Thank you for the download able plans and your video. Its a park flyer with classic cues that makes it look great! I can tell that a great deal of attention and care were put into the design of this model. Thank you!

👍👍👍👍👍👍 I always wanted to build a skeleton structure plane like Savage Bobber but this plane is a perfect way to start learning how to do it. Not sure if building skils are ready for this one. But it is really nice!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Maybe you could check the build pics on my website (Link in video-description) to see if your skills are compatible with that. In general HOPPER is easy to build, as long as you fabric each single part with the given precision. Using appropriate tools, taking enough time and not hesitating is the key.
You can make several mistakes at the step of ironing the film onto the wings. But I will describe the important steps in the plan, don't worry.
@@HilmarLange Thanks for your response. I have not done any balsa plane with that many part , just a couple of sticks. And i was real difficult for me to cut the curved 8 ribs.
So i would need a balsa cutter machine that unfortunately i do not have.
But will try to find a cutting service so i can try to build it.
thanks again!
@@alexherrera3918 HOPPER is basically made out of medium-dense balsa wood, so you can cut those parts easily with a sharp blade.
There are only four parts out of 4 mm poplar plywood, which would need a fretsaw if you don't have an electric bandsaw.
All bars have a cross-section of 4x4 mm, so if you don't want to cut them from a board, you can purchase them.
Brillant looking airplane! I downloaded the plans and they look very easy to understand. I think I will build this as my first balsawood model. I was plannig to build a Flite Test Mini Scout out of foamboard because it looks super easy to build but the Hopper looks so much more elegant I can't resist it.
I have a question though, what would be a good way to transfer the plans to the wood? The plans call for the use of sprey adhesive to fix the paper on to the wood but I'm afraid that the adhesive will cure before I manage to cut all the pieces out. What type of adhesive do you use that gives you enough time to work before the paper gets permanently fixed to the wood?
Thanks for desiging this charming plane and sharing the plans for free, even though I would not mind at all to pay for the Hopper!
Thanks a lot for your friendly comment.
Don't be afraid of the use of spray mount. I spray into the directon of an old cardboard-box underneath the working table, by the way. Therefore I grab the paper at one edge and spray from a distance of about 30 cm one fast fog over the paper. You can use every spray adhesive, even if it's claimed permanent. That's just a question of the amount which you spray on. Usually you can pull the paper apart from where you had put it with no ease. If not, just pour lighter fluid over the paper or wipe over it with a drained cloth. This will dissolve the glue.
If you still dislike spraying, you can also try a simple glue sitck for paper work.
I highly recommend using the plan directly, as you can print it out as often as you like. All contours in the printed plan are 100% precise, while cutting through the middle of the line is the goal. The more precise you fabric each and every single part, the more fun you'll have building the whole plane. Take your time, don't let you get into the slightest hurry, that's the best advice I can give you.
