I like the basic idea. I would want my chip board to be covered on the edges so my covers for front and back would be created differently. It’s a great idea that can be used for so many different collections of memories. 😊
I love these albums they are just the right thing for Christmas pictures and cards from friends and family. I need to make 4 of theses for my sisters this year . And they would be perfect for exchange gifts at work. It is hard to set a limit and find something cute for the price range they set a work now I know what to make. TFS and have a great week.
Thanks Heidi, this is, like you said simple and easy! I love it! This would would for WEDDING cards, birthday cards, and for us card makers, a show case of our favs!! THANK YOU !!
I have been looking for a way to put all my cards from my dad into a book (he passed away a few years ago). Right now they are in a shoe box, but I think this would be perfect. I have so many ideas running through my head right now because I am that person who cannot throw away a card! Thank you!!
Good idea. I think a gusset would help, otherwise there is no room for bulk if you put, say, two cards in one envelope. Of course that would mean a wider spine, and scoring the flaps to make the gusset.
Dear Heidi, you mentioned your grandfather used to make Christmas cards. I am wondering if you would want to share them here for us to see, or maybe on your channel. Maybe you've already shared them at some point? I would love to see them, wondering if they are vintage-style, retro-style, CAS, just curious to see them. What an amazing treasure they are. Love the idea of this album, thanks so much for sharing how to make it.
I was kinda hoping on a project that let's you see the cards straight up. And/or maybe use the cards themselves as the craft material..... 🤔 Personally I store my Christmas and other cards in decorated shoe boxes and metallic storage boxes.
Hi there! For the 0.5" spine of this project, Heidi used a stack of ten A7-sized envelopes. Depending on the size of your project, you can use more or less to fit the spine size you choose. Hope this helps!
