- I have uploaded this full episode of "Cash Bonanza", which was an short-lived Australian lottery-based game show hosted by Larry Emdur back in 2001. The show took on a Wild-West theme, and was staged at Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The show featured three preliminary games and a final round which determined the winner of a guaranteed $100,000 prize each week.
Hope Larry brings back cash bonanza it was one of my favourite game shows
I would love to see Cash Bonanza return as well.

Thank You Soo Much For Uploading This To RUclips Cause I've Been Trying To Find This Game Show All Over RUclips And Couldn't Find It !
This is a March 2001 episode of the Australian lottery TV show "Cash Bonanza" (it already ended on Nine Network - Australia) & it's also the series premiere episode. 🇦🇺 🇦🇺
thanks for this man!
Hard to believe we're only a month out from the 20th anniversary since Cash Bonanza's debut... That I recall, came right after an Australia's Funniest Home Video special; name escapes me, but certainly not the unique end credits. Wonder if it's been lost to history, or if the tape's still around?
As for this one, much as the show might've failed, it's amazing how far graphics tech would expand in years to come; likes of new Sale to this animation team, to our version of Deal or No Deal that'd really impress...
Could imagine another 20 years from now, where we might be...
I have to admit Larry Emdur is actually a pretty good host and Cash Bonanza was an okay show (even though I live in America) I kinda wish there was an American version of Cash Bonanza for the Lotterys in America.
Also I have to admit the Channel 9 ident from the beginning was pretty catchy with the jingle "Still the one".
Yeah and maybe Japan should do Cash Bonanza because this show reminds me of Point Blank 3
Awesome ❤
I read that one of the reasons this show didn't last so long was that they played the exact same games at the exact same time EVERY SINGLE SHOW!!
At least on "Price" (even the crappy new version), they rotated the games from show to show.
That seems to be the case for a lot of lottery game shows. I cannot count the number of times I've seen an episode of Illinois Instant Riches start with Vortex, play a second game, and then end with Double Dollars.
I remember seeing a taping of this show!
To me, this is kinda like "The Big Spin" (California, 1985-2009). To me, the third game is like "Plinko," only it has three contestants instead of just one.
Live stream, have you got any more episodes of Cash Bonanza? Would love to see more
hey. Does anyone know where I can find more episodes of this show. My father was a contestant on it and I would like the episode he was on. His passed away now. His name was Rowley Rose he got to play till the end of the show.
catchy theme music!
0:01-0:12 Channel 9 ident "someone needs to just upload the ident itself"
cutemimi25 good
Gameshowaus2 have you got more episodes of Cash Bonanza? I own a tape with at least 2 episodes (one featuring Susie Maroney)
@danielbeauglehole2814 do you still have the tape?
@ thinking about it, I don’t have it anymore. I had a big clean up years ago and it got donated or something. Has anyone got more episodes? Much appreciated.
The 3rd game is like Plinko but more like Bruce's version of Plinko from Bruce's Price is Right.
$100,000 In Cash!!!!!!
my fave game of Cash Bonanza is Double quick-draw a game based of rock paper scissors
I kind of remember this. It didnt last very long though?
Have you got The Main Event?
Do you have to be over 68 to play this game or something?
Do you think that you could upload some more eps of this game show please ?
Do you have another episode as a request, yet?
Warner Bros. Movie World may be Cody Simpson's favorite theme park because he is originally from the Gold Coast and as a matter of fact, I met Cody this past Wednesday.
@DaPimp74 he only has 1 more i believe
Shouldn't the banana, er I mean the yellow section be in the middle?
ChrisK42 This is Cash Bonanza not Tattletales.
🤩
I've heard Dreamworld has terrible food. Is Movie World any better?
Who is the announcer and game rules
Steve Andrews is the announcer for Cash Bonanza.
I don't like this because it is all based purely on chance. There is ZERO skill involved. Much prefer TPIR.
They probably had to keep it (and similar shows for US lotteries) to chance-only, to stick within gaming regulations - as it's just an extension of a prize (to appear on the show, and as a result, a Gold Coast trip to see the theme parks and stuff) that you won off a scratchie ticket.
That said, it did mean it had a weird, artificial vibe to it (for Australian game show standards) and the lotteries and networks haven't tried this sort of thing again since. (Probably made Movie World the best place to hold it, to be honest, haha.)
this show is so pointless and rigged lmao
Without a doubt the most stupid game show ever, just sayin'
