Brabus B53 500!! Fixing the Slowest AMG - GLE 53!

- Welcome back to RBR guys! #Brabus power to the 53 GLE, so now who needs the GLE 63?? One of the most popular #MercedesAMG’s on the channel: the new GLE 53 4matic+ with 7 Seats. We last reviewed the 7 Seater GLE and found it to be a pretty great option vs the GLB and GLS in MB’s Line up. The 53 AMG features the in-line 6 turbo AMG Engine with Hybrid EQ boost giving 435BHP 520nm, with a EQ hybrid boost of a further 22BHP and 250nm. But it was never enough for us, only giving a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds. Frankly it just felt slow.
Enter Brabus, with the POWERXTRA B53-500 for the #AMG GLE 53! It raises the pure combustion power to 500 BHP, upping the torque to 590 NM and improving the 0-60 to 5.0: a fact we will check with a launch control in the video!
The car belongs to @t1dso from instagram (give him a follow below). He has made some typical Brabus style changes such as the blacked badges and Brabus 500 logos, alongside PPF to create a Magno Black finish, and finally red callipers to match the AMG dynamic plus pack look: a very aggressive car!

Any reliability issues? Could use this to upgrade my e53 to 500hp
I am in the UK. The kit was fitted by MB Brooklands and the warranty is unchanged. Reliability is perfect. The car drives very well and seems marginally more economical although hard to tell.
I have the same upgrade installed on my CLS 53 AMG and it makes a BIG difference. Increase in the midrange torque is noticeable, and the gearbox seems to work much better with this tune of the engine. Very very happy with this upgrade.

Very nice review! I did a test drive with the GLE 53 Coupé and I was considering getting one. In my opinion it was lacking a bit of power, as you say in the mid-range. I would definitely upgrade the GLE with this package as soon as i buy one.

I wish you could cover either e53 or cls53 with the same tune. I don't want to shell out 3k for nominal performances, but that's what improvements in 0-100 sec indicates. I want to know more about the mid powerband

The stage 1 final price is 3.200 euros. Everything is done by them, I didn't have to do anything by myself.
I feel the car runs faster, very happy with this kit.
