As a bank beater I would love to here your approach from my side also. You throwing an A-rig talking about not being afraid to fish shallow. I throw an A rig from the bank and catch fish but those I fish with are weary to do so. Winter is rough, wet and cold from bank. Would appreciate a “ winter bank beater approach” video. And not about ponds. You guys are the best. Thank you for everything.
Thanks for all the insight! One of my biggest problems in the winter is staying warm. If you haven’t already done it, I think a cold weather gear review video could be really useful and informative.
Got a 7 this week on a Matt Allen 1/8 oz.ned rig body 2 foot deep.and a 5.5 on blade bate.5 ft deep .great show.been having great weather,warm sun cold water.thanks Tim
Caught a few in the Philadelphia area yesterday. Small jerkbaits have been the key recently in the cold. I mean 3.5-4 pounders on pointer sp minnow 65 size. That's small! But getting 'em.
Some of my favorite videos are when Tim talks and drops the knowledge. Especially love the ones where he has overlays of breaking down over the video. Keep on rambling.
Inspirational Tim. I have less than a hundred days of real on the water studious fishing experience. You guys taught me how to fish. Last year caught my first winter bass on a flashy swimmer near bank with a swimming caffeine shad. Got that from you.
I’d rather be out in winter fishing than any other time for the quietness, the call of the kingfisher, occasional Canadian honker, and the wisp of the wind..
Great point at the end of the video. I fished a highland reservoir at the end of October and it was at least 15’ lower than when I had previously fished there in the springtime. I saw old roadbeds, culverts, concrete foundations, etc. Even though I didn’t catch any fish that day I learned a lot about that fishery
Tim, your on the water teaching videos are exremely informative and entertaining. Really liked this and the previous "Simple Trick To Catch Bass When It's Cold" video. Something special about on the water videos.
Thanks Tim! This video is really thoughtful and informative. I feel like I hang out with you guys everyday with my morning coffee to review all the things that will make me a better angler. Thanks again
Hope you boys are getting to hammer Chickamauga during this warming trend! Wish I could! Going Monday but unfortunately it will be a post frontal Monday for me! Love the Tactical DD Crank boys! Got every color! Thanks to Fish Tales in Cleveland Tennessee for carrying a crap ton of hard to find, full selection of River to Sea lures!
Good stuff guys . Ya know , you guys are what get us out on the water in these winter months when everything is against ya on the lake . Keep it up , and happy holidays
Remember to always hit the spots where the sun hits first, even if there is Ice in the Lake & yes match the bait. Caught a 4pounder yesterday up in Northern Arizona & its cold up here with snow on the grown. Great video, keep up the good work & happy holidays!
Enjoyed the video Tim, I love when you guys incorporate some time on the water! My only chance to go this week was the day after the cold front..sure wished I could have been out there when it hit! It was the full moon too! I got to go after and I knew the bite was going to be extremely tough so I headed to the rip rap. I threw a shrooms finesse jig(brown and black) with a pit boss and nearly scratched a nice limit for the conditions. Bagged several over 2 and one 3, but then lost a 3 and one over 2. It stings when you work so long for a bite and pop off right at the boat!! Have a blessed afternoon guys!
Could you guys do a video on winter clothing for fishing this time of year as well as some gear u may need on your person or boat to fish comfortably. Some good winter clothing on a budget? I love your fishing videos. Thanks for the great information 👍
Weather has been too nice in the Midwest this week. I'm waiting for the cold to get the other anglers off the water and the bass back on their winter spots. Thanks for the great videos.
Tim, thanks for the video. I really like how you explain what you're going to do and then execute it. I do fish a lot of ponds and small lakes but I am interested in getting into some rivers with my kayak. If you don't mind me asking, where were you fishing? Just curious. Thanks again.
Thanks for the video Tim I always hear you talking about the shower blows I picked one up and threw it yesterday in 44 degree water hooked up with a 3 lb large mouth on the 4th cast about 5 feet off the bank I was bank fishing.Keep up the good work God bless and stay safe on the water.
Thanks for the tips helped a little out on the lake today but only caught 5but when I go to lake jocassee in sc it’s so pretty I don’t care how much I catch
Incredible video, I am going back to my hometown for my winter break from school and want to target big deep water smallmouth and I hope I get em! I gained access to a part of my reservoir (its pretty big and I have a boat on the opposite side) and this really help me put things into perspective. If I get a big one I'll definitely give you guys the credit! Thanks again for a great and informative video!
hi Tim, thanks for taking us along on an early winters day of fishing. very informative as always. You never know in winter when you’re going to get that big bite. !
the bass don’t act that much differently just because its 64 above water, the fish still remain staged in winter holes or tight to shallow cover due to the water remaining relatively the same temperature as it did before. Catch a bass tomorrow when it’s 66 and take time to notice and feel how cold it still is although the air and environment above ground feels warm.
As already mentioned, this is super helpful. Question, I'm in West TN and we've had 70's theast few days after some lows in the high 20s. Where are the moving with these type temperature changes. It's very unseasonal temps right now and I think the fish are confused!
Finally the Black Friday Packages are beginning to show up!!!! Got my lovely Twin Power in, you were right wow it’s so light and smooth. Can’t wait to try the big blade chatters too
Yes, Tim, the loons are pretty. But have you ever had a loon steal a fish right from your hand as you held it just above the water after you caught it from a canoe? I have!
Great video as always dude I definitely take note as I am up here in Kentucky on the struggle bus.. Fishing my little local pond on my army base and some of these tips have definitely helped thanks again.
I've never see you guys discuss scents and attractants. I'd love to hear you guys thoughts on the different options out there and their effectiveness or lack there of.
In 10 years of videos I’ve only heard them refer to using them to help get jig heads inside of tubes, other than that they have been pretty neutral on the issue.
My buddy here in Rhode Island is a diehard fishes till there is ice . Wordens pond is pretty big but shallow he catches bass in 2-3 ft of water in December. Which I wouldn’t believe if he didn’t send me pictures .
Of course there are! We always take a week off in the middle to get everyone dialed in for Winter fishing before jumping back into the guides. We can't let 3 weeks of guides knock people off their game during the Winter transition. 👍🏼
You need more videos like this, showing how fishing really is, show the spots that didn't produce, and show how the work pays off.
These TN temps the last few days are making me want to use a sick day. Lol. Great video Tim.
It’s been a grind so far this winter. Haven’t caught any since the beginning of November. I needed this video. You guys are always coming in clutch.
What lake are you fishing in what state brother? It’s been a tuff Fall transition for me as well in East Tennessee. I’m a Chickamauga local.
I felt
Mild winters are tough.. cold fronts are good! Crayfish around the moon phases with the water temps still up
Yea I feel you. It’s been rough for me in Oklahoma. Just keep grinding.
Yup. So Cal sucks! Too many fucking anglers! And the majority just out there spooking the fish.
Phenomenal winter so far. Back to back weekends biggest bags of the year for me
Went out and caught 11 largies from 1.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs on lake mead yesterday burning a crank bait. You guys are awesome!!
Caught a few in the Philadelphia area yesterday. Small jerkbaits have been the key recently in the cold. I mean 3.5-4 pounders on pointer sp minnow 65 size. That's small! But getting 'em.

Mine too Tony:-)
You guys are my go to when fishing gets tough. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. My fishing has improved so much because of you guys.
Inspirational Tim. I have less than a hundred days of real on the water studious fishing experience. You guys taught me how to fish. Last year caught my first winter bass on a flashy swimmer near bank with a swimming caffeine shad. Got that from you.
We had a good day Wednesday. Water temperature 49 degrees. Caught fish in 3ft to 20 ft. Berkley digger crank bait.
Going again in minute 🎣

Bro that shade line tip was excellent information!! Always wondered how that went during cold water times. Thanks Tim!

I’m going out today and the River where I’m going has a textbook deep channel next to a shallow cove that always has big largemouth when it’s warm.
Great breakdown Tim. This is what I come to watch and learn. Merry Christmas
One of my favorite shoots, so far. Really great to see how you take down a new spot.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Weather has been too nice in the Midwest this week. I'm waiting for the cold to get the other anglers off the water and the bass back on their winter spots. Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks for taking the time to share some knowledgeable thoughts at the ramp. Enjoyed the video as usual.
Been in 70s ,here in Ozarks, last 3 days,fished all,was a grind,caught a few,most on crankbait,all small largemouth, 14 inches !

Great job Tim,that was incredible Smallmouth ❤️👊

hi Tim, thanks for taking us along on an early winters day of fishing. very informative as always. You never know in winter when you’re going to get that big bite. !
I do good in winter but I live in southern California so its pretty warm year round. Lipless, Squarebill and jerk baits are my go to in the winter.
You guys should head up to Minnesota or Wisconsin this Jan/Feb for an ice fishing video!
Love that winter bass bite!! Harder to get! But way more satisfaction!
It's going to be 66 degrees in Va tomorrow. I might have to watch the fall transition vid again!

How effective is an A rig when bluegill are the primary bait fish?
As already mentioned, this is super helpful. Question, I'm in West TN and we've had 70's theast few days after some lows in the high 20s. Where are the moving with these type temperature changes. It's very unseasonal temps right now and I think the fish are confused!
Watts Bar this year has been a tough nut to crack. The bait has been down this year. tight lines
Finally the Black Friday Packages are beginning to show up!!!! Got my lovely Twin Power in, you were right wow it’s so light and smooth. Can’t wait to try the big blade chatters too
Heck Ya.. I been burning up my go pro taking live topo videos. Middle Mississippi River and Missouri streams are at record lows.. it’s fascinating
Great video Tim. The under spin has been doing it.
Yes, Tim, the loons are pretty. But have you ever had a loon steal a fish right from your hand as you held it just above the water after you caught it from a canoe? I have!
Looks like you have the whole lake to yourself 👍
Great video as always dude I definitely take note as I am up here in Kentucky on the struggle bus.. Fishing my little local pond on my army base and some of these tips have definitely helped thanks again.

Sounds like fishing Tellico Reservoir Loudon Co, I been on some largemouth and small banking Lakeside coves near Hwy 72
TB in the morning is my go to
Unfortunately where I am in Maine we already have hard water so my season is done, ice fishing is just not my jam.
Starting the day right, coffee and tactical bassin👊👊👊
I’d like to see you guys do a power plant lake in winter!!!
Excellent content from the non Mountain man half of TB.😄 Thanks Tim
caught my fist winter bass last week. what a rush even though it was terrible out
Do you guys fish tournaments to see where you rank. Keep up the great videos
Love the content unfortunately most of my Reservoirs are closed for boating during the winter should I just be fishing deep water from the bank?
Y’all need to go to Santee copper in sc
I really like this type of video!
Congrats on 460K!!!
Going out tomorrow morning! Thanks for the tips
Great info as always
Love a Friday vid!!
The state that you are fishing would be a good tip. If I am fishing in Wisconsin and you are fishing in Alabama there is a huge difference.
I think he is fishing in TN
Great video! When do you throw a single swimbait vs the a rig
My buddy here in Rhode Island is a diehard fishes till there is ice . Wordens pond is pretty big but shallow he catches bass in 2-3 ft of water in December. Which I wouldn’t believe if he didn’t send me pictures .
How bout a underwater video on dragging the big swimbaits and A-rig presentations.
Good stuff man!
Great vid, what leader knot do you guys tie?
I needed this. Bass have been hard to find but these videos light a fire under my butt and keep me going. Gonna find that big one. Patience! Ha!
mannn I still waiting for that mega live video
Water is almost 69 degrees today in Louisiana. I have been whoopin on em
It was high 40s early November for me
Our water doesnt get drawn down, itll get low from no rain but thats it. But yeah, your dead right,,if you feel your about to sweat get shallow.
How do you like the Yamaha SHO..does your motor make oil.
I’ve been catching quite a few but nothing bigger than 2 pounds since late September early October .(in south jersey)
Instant like.
How do I get a chance to fish and learn tips from you guys?
What lake are you on?
Caught a 4;13 and a 5’03 in Michigan water is 40
Tim, what's the brand/name of your bibs and where'd you get them? Can't find black/gray camo anywhere
They're affiliated with AFTCO so that's the brand he's probably wearing. Hope this helps.
Cool 👍👍👍
Where do bass go in the ca delta?
two thousand years later
Tip #1) live somewhere there isn’t ice 😁
What lake?
Where r u?
You shot a double fluke video in the marina i just recognized it
Burn burn burn, pause.
What about us fools throwin' from the bank, eh?
No more buyer guides?! 😟
Of course there are! We always take a week off in the middle to get everyone dialed in for Winter fishing before jumping back into the guides. We can't let 3 weeks of guides knock people off their game during the Winter transition. 👍🏼

Pheewwwww! Can't wait! It's my favorite time of year! ❤🎣❤🎣
First you have to be at a good lake, and one where there isn’t a million fucking people. So nowhere in So Cal 🤦🏻
Love a Friday vid!!
Unfortunately where I am in Maine we already have hard water so my season is done, ice fishing is just not my jam.
